I am a designer prototyping applications. At the moment I want to show in my prototype that a drag panel opens and it belongs to a tab.
Two questions: How can I make a drag panel belong to a tab?
Should that be too complicated code wise (i am a designer - not a developer...): Can I position the drag panel on opening for the first time?So far, my drag panel always opens in the top left corner in my browser. I tried positioning it with CSS but it just ignores that.
I'm using the following span to open a page in a new window. What is INCREDIBLY odd is that it is exactly the same code from three different pages, but the first refuses to open in a new window. The only difference is that the first example resides within an Ajax Accordian Panel so I suspect that it might be an Ajax related issue.
it goes back to the orignial position on dragging if i use the style property , it does move but not as desired even with the click it movesdown nt able to deag and place as where needed.
In our application we have drag panel extender work along with Resizable panel extender. We have a requirement where in we need to have a panel that can be dragged also along with resize. This is our implementation.
When we move the panel and try to pin it to a position (click) we get a javascript error. It is bcoz of Resizablepanel since the position got changed, drag panel not able to get the position.
i'm using dragpanelextender, and,i want to save the position of the panel to the profile after user drop it,but i'm wondering which event should i use to do the savingi tried onmouseup, but it doesn't work in IE--user triggers the onmouseup event only if they didn't move it!this post,http://forums.asp.net/p/1188549/4134284.aspx#4134284,tells that there's a event called "ondrop"but my vs and browser told that there's no such thing.
I am facing a critical condition wherein I have a web page and a User control within it.I need to set the value of two labels in the user control using values collected on the server side. However whatever I do on the server side or client side I do see on the webpage although I can see in the code that it is being set.So Now I am just sending the value from the server side and setting it on the client side.I am sending from server side using,
SO I created a Panel to use to drag my modal popup, but any movement of it when you release the mouse it returns back to it's original position. What causes this behavior and how to stop it? Using Master Pages, but staying inside the content area.
Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 locked up, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't load, so I did a devenv.exe /resetuserdata to get it going again. It reset everyhing in my options of the web app/ etc, and now some AJAX conrols don't work such as dragpanel. I assume that it is because something got reset that I haven't enabled again, but can't figure it out.
I have a panel, inside a panel there are some checkbox and radiobuttonlist. This panel is place inside an UpdatePanel ajax.
When I click on a checkbox, it will raise autopostback with ajax supported, then the scrollbar of the panel always move back to the first position. It does not keep the current scrolling position.
I have a panel inside an update panel. The panel has a scrollbar. When a control inside the panel is clicked, the scrollbar resets, scrolling the panel back to the top. Is there a simple way to preserve the scrolling position of a panel inside and update panel when a postback happens from inside that panel?
I have a asp .net panel with scrollbar enabled .The panel contains buttons which is dynamically added to the panel. Is there any way to keep panel scrollbar position centered.
<asp:Panel ID="pnlYear" ScrollBars="Vertical" runat="server" Height="460" ></asp:Panel> pnlYear.Controls.Add(GetYearName()); private Table GetYearName () { Table tblYear = new Table(); tblYear.ID = "tblYear"; for (int i = 1900; i < DateTime.Now.Year; i++) { Button btnYear = new Button(); btnYear.Text = i.ToString(); TableRow rw = new TableRow(); TableCell cell = new TableCell(); cell.Controls.Add(btnYear); rw.Cells.Add(cell); tblYear.Controls.Add(rw); } return tblYear; }
I have a gridview control within a panel control. The gridview can contain up to 128 rows. The panel is 300px high and has a vertical scroll bar that allows me to scroll to the row I want to see or edit in my gridview. When I click the "Edit" button on an item within my gridview, the page posts back and returns to panel scrolled all the way back to the top. I have to then scroll back down to get to the item I want to edit in my gridview (which has correctly been placed in edit mode). How can I make the panel return to its postion (or stay in its postion) after a postback without me having to manually scroll back down?
ScrollBar position resets on postback. Is there anyway to maintain position ?I am adding UserControl(s) dynmically to the page, therefore I want to maintian positon (always maintain position at the end)Following is my .aspx file (Just to show where is the asp:panel and User controls)
I have a gridview that putted in ASP.NET Panel. both of panel and Gridview are in an UpdatePanel. there is a column in gridview that Causes Partial PostBacks. i want to Maintain Panel Scroll position on those postbacks.
i have a web form in which there are some textboxes, comboboxes, etc... comboboxes is inside an updatepanel. i am adding, deleting and updating these comboboxes with an modalpopupextender. Everything works until i placed the validatorcalloutextenders to check if it is empty. Then the ajaxmodalpopuupextender opens as popup but then i can do anything on the modalpopup. if i open the modal popup with all the required fieldvalidators filled then my modalpopup works.
I have a Accordion control which is having 3 panes but I am getting a collpsing problem when I click on Assign Associate link. I want to open the pane if I click on any of the child controls (Assign /Delete/ View Reports). I have provided similar code for my other two panes it is working as expected. what to change to make the pane in open mode if I click any of the child panes
I'm implementing a Google like search box in my asp.net application. Each keypress in the box sends an Ajax request to IIS webmethod that queries the txt and return matches - works pretty cool. However, on loading up activity (e.g. 300 users), I'm getting errors that my 100 Pooled connections are used up. Now I'm rethinking that perhaps opening/closing a db connection on each keystroke may be too much. How would one architect this differently, or insure that the connections are reclaimed really fast. I'm have the 'using' construct for connections to insure it is closed. The concern is GC may not be reclaiming them fast enough?
How would google handle such a large open/close cycle.
This happens only sometimes on the same code, but when I open a modal popup window, mouse focus stays on the background and buttons on the modal popup does not response.
If I move the mousepointer, I can see that buttons on the background are highlighted by mouseover, and I can even click on them.
I have tried to find when this happens by trying different mouse movement without luck.
Does any one have the same experience? I would like to know why this happens and/or how I can pretend this behavior.
I'm writing you because I can't display on Firefox the drag cursor for drag&dropping webparts. Is it possible to make this function available on Firefox?
