AJAX :: How To Update Gridview Data From Back Button Or Forward Button

I have a gridview that does a select statement against a sql database. What I want to do is have the data in the gridview refresh upon either hitting the back button or the forward button.
If the back button is pressed it should give me yesterdays data from the table. If I hit the forward button it should give me tomorrows data, at the same time i want the forward button to be limited to going forward only 5 days from todays date. I figure that I have to do this in a Updatepanel however I am unsure as to how to do this.

customers does not want to allow user to use back or forward button. Just a clean page without commandbar and toolbar, same for FF an IE. Disabling them is not an option as now.

How should i handle browser Back and Forward button? I have aspx page . in aspx page has some field with Save Button. i have clicked on save button to save the data, then i clicked on browser back button, then it again execute the save button event. how should i prevent to fire save button event again when user clicked on Browser back button?

I am trying to implement Login/Logout functionality in my website without using inbuilt functionality of Login controls in ASP.NET. In some pages, which require the user to be logged in, I have written this in Page_Load

But while I was testing this, I noticed that when I press the Back/Forward button on the browser, these pages are viewable without being logged in. How do I prevent this?

I use MVC2/asp.net and try to develope something like a wizard. This wizard will have serveral websites. The user will be able to enter some information on website A and to navigate then towebsite B (by pressing a button which triggers the Http.Post event). No problem up to this point.
Also on website B can the user enter some information. But there he has two buttons: "Back" and "Forward".
How to identify here which button was pressed?

Im using updatepanel in my screen.. i have 2 pages when i click submit button in page1 then it ill be redirect to page2 ....in page2 i have one back button..i wrote click event onclick="history.go(-1)"when i click back it just redirect to page 1 but records already showned in page1 not displayed .how can i sove this problem? cai i use any scriptmanager?

I know everyone has heard this a million times, but I need help with the back button and the AJAX update panel.I essentially have a form, that has 5 fields:Vehicle Make (In update panel #1) Model (In update panel #1) Trim (In update panel #1) Ownership Status Zip Vehicle model gets populated depending on what you put in make, same with trim. Now once the user hits next, I do a response.redirect. When I hit the back button, the possible values, and the current index is wiped for Vehicle Make, Model, Trim. I cannot
figure out a way around this.I have read about that history management feature, but seems uselesss since I need to somehow update the make, model, and trim possible values. Isn't there any way for me to get these values in the viewstate before I post the page?

I have a gridview bound to a sqldatasource with editing enabled. If I click Edit, then either Cancel or Update, the update or cancel occurs and the Edit button reappears. However, I cannot then click the browser's back button without having the Update and Cancel buttons reappear. A second click of the back button takes me to a state where the Edit button shows again, *then* another back button click will take me to the referring page (the one before the one with the gridview on it.) IOW, it looks like the postbacks are cached. How can I prevent this and have the back button go straight to the referring page?

I have a page with 2 update panels
UpdatePanel1 contains a gridview1 and a standard panel, pnlForms. gridview1 has a linkbutton which is processed in the gridview1_rowcommand
UpdatePanel2 has gridview2.
There is also a Submit button that isn't in either UpdatePanel but may be a candidate to go into its own UpdatePanel. The Submit button is a trigger for both update panels
The behavior I would like is:
1-Initially, all visible except pnlForms and Submit button 2- When linkbutton in UpdatePanel1 gridview1 is clicked, pnlForms and Submit button become visible. 3. When Submit button is clicked, both gridviews should be refreshed, and PnlForms and the Submit button should both become not visible. I believe I may have to put the Submit button in its own UpdatePanel3 but am not sure how to proceed.
In my present code, everything works as desired except Submit button (not presently in any Update panel) is always visible. Assuming Submit button is initialized to not visible, how do I get it to appear when I click the link button in gridview1 and to disappear when it is clicked?

I want to update multiple rows of gridview (only price field. for that i have added textbox) on click of update button which is outside of gridview.I have done following way

I have a query . I want to edit the grid view columns in which user click the edit button he will edit the column in the grid and after that i want to add update button so that when he clicks on updates button after editing the row. The row will be updated and the grid will show you the new update row.

I have four pages and user enters certain information and navigates to the next page. In the last page, when user clicks on submit button it will redirect him to the confirmation page. Once the user is in the confirmation page and clicks on back button, all the fields in the previous pages must be non-updatable. Note: User can use the back button to view his previous data but not-updatable anymore.

i have a GridView in my page that is associated with the database table "Blogs", GridView is showing all the table data correctly, i have added a link button column in the GridView, which is not defined or constructed in the Database table... I want that when i click on the button against a row in the button column of the GridView, the B_Id column cell value is passed to the other page, and control goes to the other page.
