I am trying to trigger a update planel when a user clicks on an button on a GridView. Once the button is pressed the id of the record gathered and then more information will be gathered and sent to lbl.Text in updatePanel1.

I have a ModalPopupExtender that needs to be hidden whenever the user clicks anywhere else on the page, window, or scrollbar. I have a function and it works if i set it to a div tag but what about when the user clicks the windows scrollbar?

View 2 RepliesI have modal popup extender with two buttons called continue and cancel within it.I get this popup warning when session is going to expire.When I click cancel button it should logout me and when I click continue button it should extend my session for next 20 minutes. Both button gets trigered when I click them.Problem is that when I click continue button it should extend session for another 20 minutes and alert should disapper.That doesn't work.

In my application I am using ajax updatepannel in which there is a tab container tool having 4 tabs, in the third third tab I used ajax accordian control which has 2 panel each pannel have one gridview control a Remove button. Here what I want to give delete facility to the user upon the selection of checkbox corresponding to the particular record. But when I click the button it doesnot triger the button click event of the remove button.

when I was trying to set this ModalPopUpExtender i was using a btn1 as the targetCOntrolID. btn1 is no longer used and i want to remove it from the page, but dont know what to do about the TargetControlID.

I have 3 gridviews in one of my web page. I have simplified the system structure in the image below(further description will be stated below the image): As shown in the image above, the web site(presentation layer) will work closely with the Business Logic layer(BLL) and Data Access Layer(DLL). ObjectDataSource control will be the middle man to select, update, insert and delete the data in the gridviews. During Select, returned data from the database at DAL will be stored in a datatable and return to BLL and then the website itself.
The data in the returned datatable will be filetered by type using RowFilter method and stored into the 3 dataviews. Each dataview will act as the datasource for the 3 GridViews respectively, and therefore I specified the datasource programatically instead of setting the datasourceid for each gridview.

I have a Gridview select button and whole gridview enclosed with Update Panel + trigger on select. I found CSS of Gridview lost on select. How to deal with this ?

I have an UpdatePanel with ContentTemplate specified. When page loads, user can do some AJAX work in other part of the page. Then, after that work is finished, I would like to update only content inside UpdatePanel, but without pressing any buttons etc. I should be done automatically using JavaScript when previously started AJAX work finishes. How to do it without manual clicking on the trigger button?

I am building a system for a school project. I currently have several Update Panels on the page that have many different controls on them. I also have a single Label control that i use to display messages to the user. I would like to have this label within an update panel also but there are literally hundreds of triggers that would require it to be updated and i dont want to type an absurd number of triggers for this one control.Is there a way for me to have this one panel update regardless of what happens?

and i have one updateprogress panel. So my problem is though i'm performing operation on client side , internally the async event is firing and making updateprogress panel to act (having rotation gif image) which i dont want , as it rotates for 10-15 sec more even after the operation at client side is done !

I want to reload the page when the user clicks on the back button, from a particular page.Say for example there are three pages:

I have a form free user feilds, some drop down which are populated by a database data and a button. I want to create a new line in a table when the user clicks on the button. the values for this new line will come from the Values (not visible content) of the drop box, the content of the text feild, the user ID that I should get from the connection and the current date... ie, I want do do a INSERT INTO table (userid, dropdown, text, date) values (how do I get the user ID from the session?, how do I get the value from the drop down?, how do I get the text from the text box?, how do I get the current date?)
