I can't get my <ajax:asyncfileupload> working and I don't see why...
When outside any panel or table it is working well, but as soon as I put it in a <asp:panel> or table I get a strange error which seems to be on client-side but I don't understand what's happen here. Here is the code and code-behind and Javascript.
Here's the error:
[URL]
Here's my front-code:
[Code]....
Protected Sub fupAjoutLogo_UploadedComplete(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As AjaxControlToolkit.AsyncFileUploadEventArgs)
I'm having a problem with a Webusercontrol that has an asyncfileupload control. My websusercontrol is being loaded in a placeholder control that's wrapped by an updatepanel.Due to asyncpostback, I have to load and clear the placeholder's controls.
The webusercontrol works flawlessly, except the asyncfileupload, which doesn't want to upload at all. I can assure that the code is without error, because I used to have the webusercontrol running as an *.aspx site.
I guess that the problem is the fact that the control has to be cleared and reloaded with every asyncpostback ?
I am using the AsyncFileUpload control in AJAX. This code that I use works fine. What it does it to replace an existing .JPG file that was choosen from the users computer.The thing that I wonder now is that when the .JPG picture was replaced I am using this code to show the uploaded picture in an ImageControl
View 3 RepliesI have an asyncfileupload control within a panel control. The panel is initially set to visible=false on page load. After a user clicks a button to display the panel contents however, I set the panel to visible and the user can then use the asyncfileupload. The problem however, is it seems much of the javascript associated with the asyncfileupload, does not function properly when the panel containing the upload control is set from invisible to visible. If I set my panel's "visible" property to "true" initially, then it works fine. My javascript error message is as follows:
"Form contains a file input, but is missing method=POST and enctype=multipart/form-data on the form. The file will not be sent."
Basically within my asyncfileupload control, I have the following line:
[Code]....
In this scenario, my "args" variable is always null (when I set my pane's "visible" property to "true" on page load, the args variable DOES contain data. Any idea why switching a panel from visible=false to visible=true, would cause an error like this?
this is my compelete code for validation type and display image with AsyncFileUplaodI'd like to upload only png, jpg, gifI can upload Image and have its preview successfullyand when try to upload another type It prevents and fortunately I can see this message"Upload a valid file with extension png, jpg, gif."but UnfortunatelyIt shows a message box with this errotUnhandled Exception: this._innerTB is null what's my mistake?

<title>Validation in AsyncFileUpload Example</title>
[code].....
I have a AsyncFileUpload control on a greybox popup. There are some processing that happens, and then closes the popup registering javascript as a button click event fires.
If i upload a file with the AsyncFileUpload popup page redirects to itself instead of the parent page. It redirects to the parent page as it supposed to if I dont upload a file using AsyncFileUpload. Another thing I have noticed is if I upload a file using AsyncFileUpload popup gets closed and redirects to self on any button click even without the close script call.
Is it actually possible to change the button text on the AsyncFileUpload control from "Browse" or "Select File" to something else without having to modify the control's source code? it seems I have to apply all sorts of hacks and workarounds for such a simple requirement. I fail to understand the authors of this brilliant control haven't thought about this (or is it too complicated for them to do it). and also Is it possible to have two buttons one for selecting the file and one for uploading?. because it is confusing if the user thinks if he is simply selecting the file where as it does the upload as well. at least if I can change the caption to "browse and upload" that makes it clear. I think these two functions are merged now without giving any ability for the user to separate them if he wishes to do so. if there is a simple workaround at least if there is no straight forward way to achieve this.
View 1 RepliesI am facing a problem with Ajax file Upload control
how to Upload image using ajax file upload control on Button click event in asp.net
i don't want to use the upload button what has placed on ajax file upload control .
I Just place the extra button on that button click event only i want to insert the image into my databse.

I have the modal popup come up for searching something. Inside the popup (panel) I have a txtbox and a search button. I enter text and hit 'search' and the results are shown in a listview within the popup. Now every row in the list view has a button "Select". I want to click on one of those buttons to select a particular value.
Now on click of the button(within the listview), I tried calling a javascript function and doing $find('mdlPopup').hide(); , which makes the popup dissappear. But somehow the debugger takes me straight to Global.asax.Application_Error() and doesn't even give me a stack trace to see wht the issue is. And over that, the popup looks dissapeared, but the rest of the controls on the page are not enabled back. Strange?
I'm assuming, that the popup doesn't close as intended and it errored out (which took me to Global.asax.Application_Error() ), and is not enabling the rest of the controls in the page.So my question is, how do I assign multiple buttons in a listview to the okbutton (or cancelbutton) of a modalpopup extender?
How can I make the asyncfileupload to work when a user tabs in to it in the same way as the user clicks on it
View 1 RepliesI have an update panel with a set of 2 radio buttons, a label and an image button inside of it. There another set of 3 radio buttons that trigger the update panel. I got everything working but now the image button, label and set of 2 radio buttons inside the update panel show up twice when the radio button triggers are selected?
View 2 RepliesI have a user control with a updatepanel, script manager and a asyncfileupload control.
<%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="cc1" %>
<asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager2" runat="server" ></asp:ScriptManager>
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server">
<ContentTemplate>
<cc1:AsyncFileUpload ID="AsyncFileUpload2" runat="server" />
<asp:LinkButton id="lbSubmitOrder" runat="server" title="Submit Order Request" class="btn_blue_dynamic_med"/>
</ContentTemplate>
</asp:UpdatePanel>
In my code behind:
Dim path As String = Server.MapPath("~/temp/test.tmp")
AsyncFileUpload2.SaveAs(path)
In my AsyncFileUpload2 object the filename is nothing. I can't seem to get a refernce to the file that is supposed to be uploaded.

UPDATE
I've added
Private Sub AsyncFileUpload1_UploadedComplete(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As AjaxControlToolkit.AsyncFileUploadEventArgs) Handles AsyncFileUpload1.UploadedComplete
If e.state = AjaxControlToolkit.AsyncFileUploadState.Success Then
'....'
Else
showErrorMessage(e)
End If
End Sub
I can't hit a break point at the "if" statement after I choose a file. I guess there is something wrong on my page with how ajax is working? Not sure what it is though. I was displaying the ajax upload box via a radio button with a visible=true/false div. The answer told me that the control has to be there the page loads. I took away the div and everything worked! I will now do the show/hide through jquery (which I should have done in the first place).

Has anyone ever been able to get a button to work in an updatepanel for safari?
Clicking on the button does nothing.
I have a view with 2 submit buttons. Both must submit the form data to the controller, but the actions the perform are different.If the user clicks Button A, the form is submitted, the model is modified, and the model is returned to the form with some updated information. I'd also like to make a visible if Button A was clicked. So, initially, the is not visible, but if button A has been clicked, when the view is re-displayed, the must be visible. (Possible?)
View 1 Replies i used the flajaxian file uploader. there is an example which i found that can use an external button to run the file uploader. the example is shown below. the current problem im faceing is that the button in the example is a HTML button adn when i change to an asp.net button the function cannot be called. any ideas how to get the asp.net button to work? serverside code

clientside code [Code]....
I have webpage and a master page.In master page I defined a Label and ContentPlaceHolder :
[Code]....
In my webpage I have an updatepanel and a button that updates the Label.[Code]....
[Code]....
If the button is inside updapanel, nothing happens when I click the button (Label is not displayed), but if I move button outside the panel it works. (Button must be inside updatepanel and ofcourse no PostBackTrigger)
I'm also trying to implement a custom button on the toolbar, and have it working, sort of. I took the sample code and modified it so I only insert one button, to insert an image from a list in a database. I renamed the class from the original to CustomHTMLEditor and removed a few of the properties and methods I won't be needing. All this works 99%. The control is shown in the design and in my web page and the inserting of the image all works 100%, but there is an error in the designer : Unknown server tag 'customEditors:CustomHTMLEditor'.
Because of this, I cannot reference the control in code at all and thus not get the Content when the page is posted back.
Here are my two files in the App_Code folder:
From HTMLEditor.Samples.cs:
[Code]....
From HTMLEditor.CustomButtonsAndPopups.cs
