AJAX :: Pass And Save JavaScript Array Values To Database Using JQuery?
May 7, 2015
I have create a web page having dynamically created text boxes if i select value in dropdown list,text boxes auto generates .but i want to save all text box values in SQL server database after clicking on submit button using ajax/JSON request
I want to add gridview row data into to data base I am doing it perfectly.My problem is that want all gridview row data save and then web method should be called but in my cause one gridview data save in array then call webmethod,then other row data save in array then call webmethod called this process should be so on.But I want it webmethod should be called when all gridview row save in array.
Follwing code
Jquery <script type="text/javascript"> $(function () { $("[id*=btnSubmit]").bind("click", function () { var Customer = {};
How can I pass two variable values to a web service web method using JavaScript and a DynamicPopulateExtender?
Some background of my issue:
I have a fully working cascading drop down list accessing a database.
My parent Cascading Drop Down List is a list of countries and the child displays the relative regions i.e.: USA returns Iowa, Maryland, Oregon etc.
I also have a 3rd Drop Down List control that allows the user to select the language to display the region details i.e.: Selecting the language of Chinese will return a list of regions of the USA in Chinese (held in the database).
I now want to display the translated country name from the 3rd Drop Down List in a label on the page. I cannot just use the text from the country drop down list as this text value remains in English. The translated value must be returned from the database.
So far, I have installed a DynamicPopulateExtender:
[Code]....
I then wrote a web method (in the Cascading Drop Down local Web Service) to return the translated country name. To do this I have had to hard code the countryID (10663) and the translationLanguageID (1331) asshown below:
[Code]....
This does return the translated country name, but the variables are hard coded!
My question is how do I pass the countryID and the translationLanguageID to the Web Method GetTranslatedCountryName() from the DynamicPopulateExtender? Or even if there is a better way to achieve my task?
Iam getting an array of list from database to client side(javascript array). Now my aim to place those values in a div one by one and that div should attach to the textbox similar to Autocomplete extender.
I need to know what would be the best choice of array to use given the following specifications. This array's size will be predermined upon the loading of the appication. All I want to do is be able to add values to this array and replace preexisting array items with new values without the array changing size. Someone suggested that I use a Dictionary Array Object? I would appreciate any suggestions.
The first and Main problem is that i do not know the way of passing my values to the source:
By saying that i mean, supposing i have a a server-side ASP.NET function GetTheResults as listof(string) or GetTheResults as string ()
how am i supposed to pass those values as source required by the auto-complete?
The second problem is that the specific way does not use AJAX. Which means i guess on the load of the form i will load all the available values to the source. Isn't that an overkill?
What I want to happen is, I will populate or load the patient Name into TextBox. If the patient are 20, the page will dynamically create 20 textboxes to display the patient name..And when I click save, Changes will be save base on the input on textbox..
What I have is a table that holds 3 input elements, They represent order, name, value. The user can add a new row of 3 inputs to add as many of these sets of data as they want.
To accomplish the dynamically adding in of inputs I use jquery's clone method. That works fine and I am able to iterate through each and grab the values, however the real pain I am having is that when the user has entered in all of the data I want to pass that data to an asp.net page through jQuery's post method. How do I go about passing an array of strings so that I send this format to the asp.net page, and when I've done that how do i parse the data on the asp.net side of it.
Desired Data Format:
["Name|Link|Order", "Name|Link|Order", "Name|Link|Order"] jquery Code so far: $("#saveBtn").click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); $("#addPanel").slideUp(300); //Perform Save Operation var saveString = ""; $("#addTable tbody>tr").each(function () { var o = $(this).find(".hsaorder").val(); var n = $(this).find(".hsaname").val(); var l = $(this).find(".hsalink").val(); saveString += n + "|" + l + "|" + o ; }); ////// Create Array here or some other method? $.post("/modules/H/Modify.aspx", { OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING GOES HERE}); // Remove all but top table element to return to original state $("#addTable tbody>tr").not("#addTable tbody>tr:first").remove(); });
one button i use to save form entity.and other is to navigate to next pagwhen i click on save button i use jquery to save form entity in database. and form remains as it is
<script type="text/javascript"> var checksSinceLastPostBack = new Array(); function clientSelectedIndexChanged(sender, eventArgs) { var ajaxManager = $find("<%= RadAjaxManager.GetCurrent(Page).ClientID %>"); var serializedCheckData = checksSinceLastPostBack.serializeArray(); if (ajaxManager != null) ajaxManager.ajaxRequest(serializedCheckData); } </script>
The
var serializedCheckData = checksSinceLastPostBack.serializeArray();
doesn't seem to work. Am I misunderstanding this?
Also if this works, how would I deserialize it in the code behind?
I have two repeaters where i'am moving rows from one to another by jquery drag and drop.
My question is, I want to achieve the first and second columns (they are the parameters) of each repeater (table) so that could call a webservice to make the update on database. So, how I achieve this and how can i call a webservice passing to the method the parameters for each change on both tables.
