AJAX :: Selecting The Text In Next Textbox After Autopostback?

I have an updatepanel with some textboxes and dropdownlists they have autopostback set to true. They are all defined as triggers on the updatepanel. I want the user to be able to change data in a textbox and tab to the next and have the text selected in each textbox he enters. My problem is I receive the first postback fine, make some database updates, then exit. The next textbox is not being selected, so I added thge final instruction in the data changed event to nexttextbox.focus. That seems to work, however the nexttextbox does not have the text selected. How can I do that?
I have two textboxes insie an updatepanel, the same update panel also has a trigger from a Clear Button from the other update panel. The first Textbox AutoPostBack is set to true. The first time when the textchanged event is fired, everything work as expected--the labels got populated, the focus is set to the second textbox. However after I click on the Clear button, i entered something to the first Textbox, its TextChangedEvent fires--the labels got populate, the focus seems set correctly to the 2nd textbox, but I cannot enter anything to the second TextBox. it seems like the form is not active--when i hit tab, I expect the focus move to next control, instead it moves to the URL box. Turn off the AutoPostback then put a button next to the first textbox will fix the problem, but I am wondering if there is other workaround to keep the AutoPostback of the 1st textbox?
in my applicaion dropdown having country,state ,district values and one autocomplete textbox , if i select country in the dropdown only country names should be filtering in autocomplete textbox

I have 5 textboxes in aspx page, and their AutoPostBack property is True. When I write something to first textbox and press tab key to write something to second textbox, the second textbox don't be focused. I have to select second textbox with mouse to write something it. I want to focus the second textbox by pressing tab key after write something to first textbox. HOW Can I do this?
Is there a way to have a textbox autopostback when the 5th character is entered into the textbox?
I have a zipcode textbox that I would like to fire an autopostback as soon as the 5th character is entered. Currently I have it so it will fire when tabbed out of or when the next textbox is clicked in but it would save one step for the customer if it fires on the fifth character.
The problem is, when i type something in Departmetn textbox, and click on the button, you have to click twice to get the actual results up. This is because the first click is doing the "AutoPostBack" part from the text box, and then you have to click again to make the actual click postback to happen.
I have an gridview with 3 columns. As default I entered for each columnns an headertext, but depending on an language parameter in the data the headertext is changed on page_load with a SetLabels function.
Recently I added an templatefield textbox with an autopostback=true and an ontextchanged event :
When a user changes the text in the textbox all events are executed properly BUT my headertext is set back to the default value (from the .ascx) even tho page_load event is executing properly WITH the SETLABELS function.
When I place a value in TextBox1 and then click inside TextBox3 (which is there to have a place to go to get out of TextBox1 and TextBox2) the value from TextBox1 remains and is displayed in the MessageBox.Show correctly.
When I pick a value from the drop down calendar extender in TextBox2 for a brief micro-second the value from the calendar displays in TextBox2 and then the MessageBox.Show displays and the value in TextBox2 returns back to the orginally set value. The MessageBox.Show shows the orginally set value.
For TextBox2 if I set AutoPostBack=false then the TextBox2 works correctly and keeps the date picked from the calendar extender but the ontextchanged="TextBox2_TextChanged" never fires.

In my gridview, I have a column for Amount. I want to calculate the amount as soon as user changes the Amount and display calculated Amount in a textfield. What I have done is I have Amount as Templatefield and have set Autopostback = true. I am novice to aso.net programming using vb.net.I have three text boxes on a form.I have set their tab order also.text boxes already have some initial values in them when the form loads.what I want to do is when I press the tab button and it sets the focus on the next text box it should automatically select the whole value in thetext box so that when I start typing It overwrites the old value I dont have to delete the old value first and then write.P.S. I want to do the same thing in VB.net.
I can't get over the problem with my TextBox. It's inside an UpdatePanel. There is button and code behind for the button_click event that should write the TextBox.Text to a text file, but it does not :-(

Prior to using the calendarextender I was using the text in a textbox to set a session variable in the textedchanged event. When I started using the calendarextender, the new date does appear in the textbox but the event is not fired. I suppose I need to use Javascript for this, but I'm not sure how to do it. I'm using VS2010 pro on a Win7 64bit.
In my codebehind, I'm trying to set it to the date I retrieve from the database, with the following

What happens is that the page is left with just the watermark text, but not the text I'm setting it to. However, if I inspect the textbox in VS it says the text is what it's supposed to be. I read somewhere that a similar error was because of a property referred to as isWatermarked, but I couldn't find it.
I have a situration that I am using asyncfileupload and after uploaded, then the file content will be directly loaded into textbox1. I have a method to get the file content successfully, but I cannot update textbox1 even it is in updatepanelhere is the code to update the textbox1.text
Let me start by saying that I inherited this application and have always struggled make changes to it.I am trying to add a checkbox to a form that when selected would activate a textbox and write the value to .ini file. Here is my code and any help would be greatly appreciated.
