The problem is I can see tool kit controls in my tool box but i can not use the controls. like i was using the text box watermark effect but when i run the website the text-box does not show effect and there is no option in text box to add extender. there is only remove extender option. I would like to do this server-side if possible.The other option I have discovered here [URL] would be to store the images as they are on the server, but to manipulate the display so it appears the image is watermarked . However, this solution is in PHP. Does anyone know a good PHP to VB.NET translator?! Or does anyone have a good suggested link, idea or code? Or can I add PHP to my ASP.NET site?

View 1 RepliesI have made a chat application which is working fine but to refresh the text messages which is seen by user 1 and input by user 2 I have used timer.Timer periodically updates messages and ScriptManger1.SetFocus(TextBox1.ClientID) sets the focus but.. when I do so ,user 1 (if) inputting text watches message box being repopulated but at the same time all the text he wrote in yet to send textbox text is washed away!!!So how can we set focus at the end of the textbox text?

I have been able to successfully download and implement the AJAX Control Toolkit MENU within my .master page using an XML sitemap data source as well as changing the CSS properties to suit my layout and design. It now renders the page (in Source View) with the more robust HTML UL, LI tags, etc....
However when i add a new Gridview into the Content of a new page (using my master page), the View Source shows the Form ID & GridView ID has been dynamically changed which i'm sure is because of the AJAX Control Toolkit.
2 Examples:
1) FORM:
a) VWD Code View:

b) However, page preview View Source changes to:
<form name="aspnetform" id="aspnetform" lang="en-au">
2) GRIDVIEW:

As the ID's and names change when the page is rendered i cannot CSS Stlye items, use code behind with my standard names. I get errors saying the Objects are NULL as they cannot be identified.

I'm using the AutoCompleteExtender control with a textbox. The control functions the way I want it to but I have one issue with it. When the page first loads I type something in the textbox and I get a list of suggestions from my database. When the list is quite big the vertical scroll bar appears on the right side of the browser window and the textbox is repositioned to the center of the page (I want the textbox to be centrally positioned and I'm using <center> tags). Unfortunately the AutoCompleteExtender list doesn't reposition and is misaligned. The same thing happens when the browser window is resized.
I've played around with CSS and OnClientShown and haven't managed to fix this. I'm currently using IE8.
