Apr 7, 2010I am using the HTML Editor with a database, which works fine. All the instructions I find show the output on the same page as the Editor - which to me doesn't make much sense... at least not for how I want to use it. I believe I need to use the Literal control, but I can't find a clear example.
If I have Editor1 on page "edit.aspx" which submits the content to database db.mdb, using fields "id" and "fldContent", how can I display the content on another page "view.aspx"?

AJAX :: Reference To A JavaScript File To Use In HTML Editor Content?
Jan 6, 2010I wish to execute a javascript function in HTML Editor content. Hower, I give me the error "object expected". It seems like the browser cannot locate my javascript file.
Here is my setup:
- I have an external javascript file, "myscript.js" under "script" folder which has "test" function which contains a single "alert()" command.
- I referenced to "myscript.js" via <script src=....> tag (and also tried using Script manager's ScriptReference Path, same result).
- In my default.aspx page, I have a button which call "test" on mouseover event, which works call "test" correctly whenever I mouseover.
- In my default.aspx, I have the HTML Editor, with the this HTML content:
<span id="0001" onmouseover="alert('ok');">OK</span>
<span id="0002" onmouseover="test('not ok');">Not OK</span>
When I mouseover "ok" alert() script executed, but it give "object expected" error on I mouse over "not ok", it look like the browser cannot find "test" in myscript.js.
How do I reference this a script file inside the HTML Editor content?

I'm using Table Adapters method called GetBBNewsByNewsID with the following SQL query:

Jan 4, 2010I am building a website in which all of the site layout is in Master page and the content of the site is in the inherited pages. I have various links for navigation in which i simple use Response.Redirect to transfer to different pages. Now the problem is that I want to put the content place holder inside Ajax Update panel so that the postbacks are Asynchronous and I want to show the postback by an animated image inside Update Panel progress control. The problem is that I am unable to achieve this result and the entire page is posted back and rendered again. I have placed the content place holder inside the Ajax control toolkit's Update panel but it does not work. Is there any way that I can change the content of the content place holder to a new page with asynchronous postback.

Jan 26, 2010I have an Editor control on my page and the user can go in use it hit save and that all works.
In another part of the page I have a simple dropdown to select a note and view it. When you push view it loads the text which was entered in via the editor control.
If the user used an order or unordered list. The text shows up but not the list part.

I have it going to a literal control which should render the html, but it doesn't.

Jun 24, 2010I've a detailedview and gridview in an accordion pane. Whenever I triggered some postback actions (e.g. delete some row in the gridview or edit the values in the detailedview), the content in the pane became empty. It would show up correctly if I resized the browser. This only happens in IE8, but work correctly in FireFox. Is this a problem of the browser, or can I improve my code to prevent this from happening? The following is my code

Sep 15, 2010I have a user control (ascx) vs 2010 that contains a modalpopup extender thats popup control is an asp:panel. In that Panel I have an update panel and a contenttemplate inside the upd panel. It is a pretty simple example of its use, in that I have list box allowing the users to create a new row in a table.
However, when I click targetcontrol, the background changes to the expended modal background, but instead of being able to use the listbox, everything in the content panel is the same as the background and none of the controls on the panel are enabled. In other words, the entire page is loaded dimgray, including the updatearea.

Jquery - Don't Show Content If Page Is Not Fully Loaded
Mar 30, 2011I have this problem in loading contents of the site where there's a certain time that those elements that supposed to be hidden are shown for a while before the page is completely loaded.
Everything below the dropdown is supposed to be hidden and they show atleast a second that is very noticeable, that I still have the time to have a screen shot. Below is when the content is completely loaded.
Everything inside the content is inside an UpdatePanel, and I am using a jqTransform to transform the form elements. I know that jqTransform is called after all elements is loaded, but I just don't understand why it is showing the hidden elements before the page is completely loaded.
Is there any work around this one that I will only show directly the completely loaded page instead of showing the hidden elements before hiding them?
FYI: Elements hidden will be shown according to the value selected on the dropdown. If the element is hidden before the jqTransform is called, once I show them back, it is unusable or cut off.
Web Forms :: Show The Content Part Of A Master Page?
Aug 17, 2010I have a page(a.aspx) which is under master page(m.mst). I have got another page in name b.aspx which is also under master page "m.mst". Now i want popup a.aspx from b.aspx on some button click. But in the popup(a.aspx), i do not want the master page features.
Is there any way i can detatch the master page from the page, or i have to recreate it without the master page?
AJAX :: IE8 Constantly Crashing On Rad Editor Page?
Apr 27, 2010When I open my web page with my RadEditor version 7.3.6.0 on it to create a new using the editor I get a popup warning on the page.
Soon after this while using Rad Editor I get a message in IE8 (Version 8.0.6001.18702IS) saying the page has been recovered and I have lost all of my edits.
This is also happening to other people, my customers, when they use the same page on their IE browser.
