AJAX :: Animation On Page Load And Updating / Updated

I have a webpage with multiple updatepanels on. One of the panels takes a long time to load. I therefore start a timer on page load and the timer.tick event populates the accordion control within the panel. Because of the amount of data I have used a paged data source and have link buttons to scroll through the results.
I need to implement animation, both on the initial page load and each time the button is clicked to move through the pages. The animation is, show a loading icon and hide the accordion/grid, once the data is loaded, display the accordion/grid and hide the loading icon. I have tried both the PageRequestManager and AnimationExtender, which I fail to get working for both the initial page load and Updating/Updated events.

I am using Ajax on a Sharepoint 2007 website and I have copied in the AjaxControlToolkit.dll into the bin folder.

Any one has got a working example for the OnHoverOver and OnHoverOut animations ?I have tried one but it's not perfectly working, as I don't know how to change the position of the Popup panel or resize it !! and I still can see a grey shadow before my popup panel appears..it's weird... Here is my code :

I need to have a stack of 10 text lines, possibly div's, and insert a line arbitrarily somehere in the list. In addition I'd like to fade in a highlight (for the new line) and fade out.Is MSFT AJAX the correct tool to use for this?

This also works a treat. However, the update causes the animation/colour change to fire on both labels when either of them fires.
How do, or what do I have to do so that only one label changes colour one at a time i.e. when UpdatePanel1 updates, lblSearch1 changes colour but lblSearch2 stays as is.

I am using gridview with update panel Animation extender for updating effects. Everything is working fine but when page expires(means session ends) and I try to uupdate(edit,delete record) it fadeout the grid but donot fadein and shows following javascript error as image. I want if session ends it should redirect to login instead of fading out and showing javascript error message

I want my UpdatePanelAnimationExtender animation to always show in the center of the browser window even after a window resize or page scroll. The animation does re-center horizontally after a window resize but not vertically. It does not re-center after either a vertical or horizintal page scroll. I get the same behavior in IE 8, Safari & Firefox. Below is my code:

I have a button that is inside of an updatepanel, I want it so that whenever the user clicks on the button it would update items in the updatepanel and after that it would activate the animationextender but I can't do that as of now because on the button I have OnClientClick="return false;".

A ListBox is being filled from the database, from a SQLDataSource. Im setting the parameters in its _Selecting event. Except when it is done getting its new Data, the ListBox isn't updated with this new data. Eventhough i rebind my ListBox to the DataSource.

Whenever I load the asp.net page first time the page source is updated but
when postback fires through ajax then I view the page source from browser,
It is the same which loads first time.
Why it is not updading?

I have a long running asynchronous process which returns a total of around 10-100 results over a 5 minute period. I have a webservice - called MyCompany.WebService1
I reference this using a web reference in my ASP.net web application.
Theres a method called "GetDeal" in this web service, that returns a "Deal" Object.
The deal object currently looks (for example) like this:

This class is in a different assembly: MyCompany.Model
The web service references this assembly.
In my web app, I can call the GetDeal method. This returns Service1.Deal (service1 is just the name of the web reference)
I can access both properties above. I have now changed the Deal class, and added a couple more properties.
However, I can't see these new properties in my web application. I've updated the web service in the web application. I rebuilt the web service several times, tried removing the MyCompany.Model reference and re-addding it etc...
I can't figure out what has changed... This was working - I have changed the model before, and it's updated the reference correctly...

I'm developing my first Facebook application in ASP.NET 2.0 and doing a simplest thing, that is, to show a navigation on top with four hyperlinks where each link targets to another .aspx page. How can I do this using FBML in ASP.NET 2.0?
Otherwise coming to my question, where I'm struck after trying above thing at myself and failed then had to go around the Ajax way of doing this. Now I'm using Ajax call over the onclick event of each hyperlink from top navigation and it's succesfully loading external .aspx pages (for example,[URL]. The problem is when user comes on the application on first time, it only shows the .aspx page which has a navigation and a Ajax content place holder which is programmed to be filled with contents on click event.
How to load Ajax contents into the Ajax content place holder on page load without a click event?

i get the problem in updating the treeview nodes from databse.i have created a dropdown list and on selectionindex change event i written the code for selection of nodes in the treeview.on first time selecting the option in dropdown list i get the selected nodes which works fine..but when i change the option in the dropdown control the treeview nodes cant updated on page but it seems selected as per database in the code behind when i debbug it

I have master page that has a Telerik radmenu control.

On the content page, I populate this control with menu items.

This part works. The menu items are populated with the correct navigate URLs. The content page allows users to change parameters that are inside an update panel.

After the values are updated, the LoadShareMenu function is called again. I have verified through the debugger that the function is being passed the updated values and that the returned RadMenu is populated with the correct NavigateURLs. However, the RadMenu control on the webpage remains unchanged. The original NavigateURLs remain.What final step do I need to do to cause the RadMenu to update?Here's the code for the FindControlByID function:

I have an AJAX controller action which returns JSON. The returned JSON is handled via jQuery and contains a message displayed in an update div. The JSON also contains a flag which indicates a change in state. If this is true the entire page needs to be reloaded from a different url. This is currently performed in the jQuery using window.location.replace(url). In the situation where a full page refresh occurs, I still want to display the message from the JSON in the update div, but after the page has fully reloaded.
How can I ensure the div is updated with the message after the window.location.replace call and the page has been completely reloaded? (I realise AJAX is not intended for full page refreshes but I can't think of a simple way of avoiding it in this scenario. Normal behaviour here is updating the div with a status message.)
