AJAX :: Bind Three Gridview Independently?

suppose i have three gridview on my page one after another and will display three different info like books detail,moview details and games detail. i want that when page will be displayed then my three different gridview will populate at a time idependly and when three busy indicator will be shown for three different gridview. which one will be polated first then busy indicator for that grid will be invisible. i want to do it using MS-ajax.

Gridview binding data from database without doing postback on the select of item in dropdown.i know it is possible through ajax update panel but for some specific reason it can't use it.And i think that gridview is a server-side control and if i implement it by using table structure , jquery ajax and web service then it will loose all gridview properties of edit, update and paging etc.

Untill the process end i have to wait(it's a big operation) for a long period, what i expect is, i'll hand over the data to DAL and my application will continue further works, how to do that?

Can these two properties of a dropdown list in ASP.NET be used independently?
I wanted to retrieve a null value when the user selects some text; I couldn't as it retrieves the Text property whenever the Value is null. Eg:
l1 = new ListItem("Cat", null);
Console.WriteLine(l1.Value);
The output is
Cat
In another situation, when both the properties have different strings, I get the string in the Value property when I use the Text property. Eg:
l2 = new ListItem("Cat", "Mouse");
DropDownList ddl = new DropDownList();
ddl.Items.Add(li);
ddl.SelectedIndex = 0;
Console.WriteLine(ddl.SelectedValue);
Console.WriteLine(ddl.Text);
The output is
Mouse
Mouse

I have a near full functioning form.
I simply need to edit each row independantly. However upon applying the Edit, Update Cancel I get the following.
I suspect this is because I am using the GUI and this will require some code per column?

I use these code to my datalist pagination [URL] ....
In my page i have 2 datalist with 2 different StoreProce and i have 2 button
I put these code for my button

I would like to show the title and the price of a movie in my Gridview. The title and price are properties from the class Movie and Movie is a property of the class CartItem. Here is the Code of my gridview
