AJAX :: Got Error While Using Toolkit With Web.extensions Version 1.0
Sep 22, 2010
the reason i posted this question is that i just added ajax toolkit in my visual studio 2005 and i installed ajax web extension version 1; downloaded from microsoft website named "ASPAJAXExtSetup" but when i added ajax object in my web form i ve gotten this error: "Error 1: Indirect reference is being made to assembly System.Web.Extensions version 126.96.36.199, which contains 'AjaxControlToolkit.CalendarExtender'. This Project references a prior version of System.Web.Extensions version 1.0.61025.0. To use 'AjaxControlToolkit.CalendarExtender', you must replace the reference to System.Web.Extensions with version 188.8.131.52 or higher. C:inetpubwwwrootAJAXEnabledWebSite1Default.aspx 1 1 C:...AJAXEnabledWebSite1"
is there any option to upgrade ajax web extension version 1 to upper without installing visual studio 2008 and .net 3.5? or any other solution?
I was looking to update my AJAX Control toolkit. Currently I have version 3.0.30930.0[URL]But now I am in two minds to do the upgrade after looking at some of the reviews on the page.Under notes it says- Pages using controls from AJAX Control Tookit .NET 3.5 must use the ToolkitScriptManager, rather than the ASP.NET ScriptManager.
1. Is it a big change to change my project to use ToolkitScriptManager?2. Does this imply only to AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 3.5 only? Please guide me with your ideas about this update. We do not want to run into even bigger problems by updating to a newer version.
I had web application developed in VS 2005 + Sql server 2005 + Ajax 1.0 Extension . (Developed in Windows Server 2005) Now i am migrating to VS 2008.(Windows Server 2008 + Sql server 2008)
After opening and compile my Existing application in VS 2008,i am getting error.
Unable to load file or assembly 'System.web.Extenstions'' version=1.0.61025. (I think it because of AJAX Extension version. So i installed AJAX Extension 1.0 but it will give me ambiguous error so i uninstalled.I am added reference for version=3.5.0 but again unsuccessful.) What i will do now? Also i used 'Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoEnum', Version=184.108.40.206 in VS 2005. (Are i have to change it to version=10.0.0.0? by adding reference to new version.) I also used crystal report.(Is there is anything to do with it?)
I'm working on my ASP Application 2.0 framework with AJAX Extension 1.0 installed on my pc. I'm getting an error on my CrystalReportViewer:Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=220.127.116.11, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)" I already tried some solutions I found in google but it's still im getting the error.: [URL]Below are the codes for my web.config

I am Getting the following error using the Numeric UpDown Control from Ajax Control Toolkit. Assembly 'AjaxControlToolkit, Version=3.0.30512.20315, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=28f01b0e84b6d53e' contains a Web resource with name 'AjaxControlToolkit.NumericUpDown.NumericUpDownBehavior.debug.js', but does not contain an embedded resource with name 'AjaxControlToolkit.NumericUpDown.NumericUpDownBehavior.debug.js'.
I have vs2005 Pro, vs2008 Pro and vs2010 Pro installed on a Vista machine. Recently I upgraded a non-AJAX web site from vs2008 to vs2010. The web site works fine but now I'd like to use the UpdatePanel. However after I insert the ScriptManager I receive
the following error:
"Element 'ScriptManager' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the web.config file is missing."
All the posts I have read seem that I should not see this error in vs2010. I have even added the following to the web.config with no success:
As a side note, I am able to use the latest AJAX Control Toolkit for .NET 4.
All my web applications are using AjaxControlToolkit 1.0 version. But I have one third party website that is using AjaxControlToolkit 3.5. When I run that third party website I got the following error.
The type 'AjaxControlToolkit.DropDownExtender' exists in both 'c:WINDOWSassemblyGAC_MSILAjaxControlToolkit3.5.11119.20050__28f01b0e84b6d53eAjaxControlToolkit.dll' and 'c:WINDOWSassemblyGAC_MSILAjaxControlToolkit1.0.20229.20821__28f01b0e84b6d53eAjaxControlToolkit.dll'
I do have assembly reference at server level web.config
i have installed ajaxtoolkit 3.5 but when i debug i am getting this error Could not load type 'System.Web.UI.ScriptReferenceBase' from assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=188.8.131.52, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' even i have changed my tags to
ive used the Ajax Control Toolkit in previous versions of VWD but for some reason im having trouble adding the Toolkit to the toolbox in this new version (2010) i have setup on my laptop, when i browse to and select the .dll file it gives me the error "Object reference not set to instance of an object" can anyone please help ive been trying to fix this issue for a little over an hour now.
I'm trying to use the AJAX Control Toolkit on a content page that uses master pages. I want to put the ToolkitScriptManager on the Masterpage because there are multiple going to use the toolkit. When I try to drag the any of the controls onto the Masterpage, or a content page, I get an error in a dialog box. It says "The operation could not be completed. Invalid FORMATETC structure." I used the AJAX Control Toolkit in a website project yesterday with out any issues. I'm trying to use it in a web application project today which it should work in. I've read a few articles online but can't get a solution to work. I deleted the tab in the tool box, recreated it, choose the items for the new tab. I unloaded and reloaded the project. I verified that the correct version of the framework is being targeted.
I am getting an error in my application in AJAXControlToolkit.ScriptControlBase.System.Web.UI.IPostBackDataHandler.LoadPostData. I am adding and removing tab panels based on user input data. Sometimes the app creates 5 to 10 pannels and sometimes only 1 or 2 depending on the user input parameter. The error occurs when the user input parameter dictates that 10 panels be created. When the user then changes the input parameter to a selection that only requires 1 panel the error occurs and the error message refers to a parameter name :index with the specified argument out of range It appears that is is still looking for the 10 panels created in the previous user selection. The error message is in the Disassembly of the AJAXControlToolkit.I thought maybe was linked to enableviewstate but I set this to false for the tabpanel and tabcontainer yet still get the error.
When I try to place any control from Ajax control toolkit, the design surface shows code starting with "<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" " .
I keep recieving this error when trying to add the toolkit to my application: "There was an error loading types from assembly v:my intranet etProjectinAjaxControlToolkit.dll Request for the permission of type System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System, Version=184.108.40.206,culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 failed"
This has only recently started happening.. There are already AJAX controls on the page which still work but I want to add new ones with the new toolkit but for some reason cannot add the toolkit anymore. If I copy the toolkit to the local C: drive of my PC and add them I can , but when I then copy my page back to the server, none of the controls are working.
wanna use filtered TextBox ajax control in my simple page.I add a textbox in my page. And then i drag first script manager on my page and then drag filtered textBox in my textbox. But when i run my project i had an error like this picture..What is the problem? Where i doing mistake?
I just installed Ajax Toolkit. The controls are available in my Toolbox, but when I insert them in a page, Visual Studio underlines them with the error message "unknown server tag".
I googled the problem and found several ideas :
check if the DLL is in Bin folder check if ajaxToolKit tags prefix is registered in web.config and make sure I'm not using a different prefix in my pages check if the DLL is registered in the pages with <% @ Register ... %>
Unfortunately all of this is fine, but I still can't get the controls to work. Is something else missing ?
EDIT : My environment is ASP.Net 2.0, Ajax Extensions 1.0, Ajax Toolkit 1.0.20229, Visual Studio 2005
1. RadioButtonList Which is placed inside Update panel1 first. 2. GridView Which is placed inside Update panel2 second..and Gridview generated five Textboxes Dyanamically in which i have used autocomplete extender with one textbox. 3. I have also used Ajax tool kit extender for calender control. 4. I am also using Jquery and master page too. 5. i am generating new row on textchange event of one of the textbox in grid view.So how can i do all the above functionality properlly.
We have upgraded recently from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010. One of the upgrades has to do with the AJAX libraries.
On the initial project (SV2008) the AjaxControlToolkit.dll used was:
Product Version:version: 1.0.10920.0 Date Modified: 28/09/2007
The current one, used in the VS2010 project is:
Product Version: 3.0.31106.0 Date Modified: 09/03/2010
The project compiles fine but once we access some web pages, we get numerous error messages with the first one being:
Message: AjaxControlToolkit requires ASP.NET Ajax 4.0 scripts. Ensure the correct version of the scripts are referenced. If you are using an ASP.NET ScriptManager, switch to the AjaxScriptManager in System.Web.Ajax.dll, or use the ToolkitScriptManager in AjaxControlToolkit.dll.
I am a bit new to ASP.Net Ajax and as such new to Ajax itself. I have a site which uses ASP.Net Ajax. It used the version AjaxControlToolkit version 3.0.30512.0. I have now changed it to version 3.5.40412.2 by deleting the old reference and adding a reference to the latest one . I build the soultion and everything appears fine witjhout any errors. But the site fails to load showing a yellow page with the message AjaxControlToolkit Version="3.5.40412.2" missing reference to 'AjaxControlToolkit.ExtenderBase.Base Scripts.js.BaseScripts.js'. What does this mean ?
