I have a textbox with a calendar extender.
When a date on the calendar is clicked the textbox is filled with the date value in format: dd-mm-yyyy That works...but now I added a MaskedEditExtender on that same textbox field. Now when a date in the calendar extender is clicked the focus is set on the textbox field, the mask shows, but the values are not filled in!
I also checked this post:[URL]but that didn.
Here's my code

On the AjaxControlToolkit samplepage. The third control is a calendar, if you enter 10/10/10 and exit the textbox, the value is changed to 10/10/0010.
If the two first digits in the year if left out, is is possible to make it insert 20 instead of 00, to get 10/10/2010 ?

My requirement is, I have one text box and that text box accepts US Format 10 digit phone number like 555-555-5555. I want when user enter 5555555555 it automatically convert this in 555-555-5555 and if he enter some wrong number then show him error and if dont want to enter any thing then there should not be any error.
<th style="width: 150px">Home Telephone </th>
<td>
<asp:TextBox ID="txtHome" runat="server" MaxLength="12" ValidationGroup="vUserDetailsB" Width="252px" CssClass="txtBox" TabIndex="19"></asp:TextBox>
<cc1:MaskedEditExtender ID="meeHome" runat="server" TargetControlID="txtHome"
AutoComplete="false" MaskType="None" Mask="999-999-9999" ClearMaskOnLostFocus="true" InputDirection="LeftToRight" />
<%-- <cc1:MaskedEditValidator ID="mevHome" runat="server" ControlToValidate="txtHome"
EmptyValueMessage="Telephone Number is required." ValidationGroup="vUserDetailsB"
ControlExtender="meeHome" InvalidValueMessage="Valid Telephone Number is required."
IsValidEmpty="false" ValidationExpression="^d{3}-d{3}-d{4}$" Font-Size="8pt" />--%>
<asp:RegularExpressionValidator ID="revHome" runat="server" ControlToValidate="txtHome" Display="Dynamic" ErrorMessage="Invalid Home number. Number should be in the format: 555-123-4567" Font-Size="8pt" SetFocusOnError="True" ValidationExpression="d{3}-d{3}-d{4}"
ValidationGroup="vUserDetailsB" Width="100%" meta:resourcekey="txtHomeResource1"></asp:RegularExpressionValidator>
</td>
Whats happenening, If i entered any thing like 5555555555 and it is coverting to this 555-555-5555 format which is correct and then when i moved to another textbox it is throwing error "Invalid Home number. Number should be in the format: 555-123-4567" and this format changes to 5555555555 and its not going ahead.

I'm trying to have a textbox function exactly like the third textbox down on this page: [URL]. I'm trying to use a CalendarExtender control with a MaskedEditExtender, because I don't want the user to be able to enter anything except a valid date into the box. On my maskededitextender I have a mask of "99/99/9999" but it seems to only work when the date is actually 8 digits (e.g. 12/12/2000) and not when the date is 7 or 6 digits (e.g. 1/1/2000 or 1/14/2000). The mask screws up when the date is less than 8 digits. Here is my code:
<asp:TextBox runat="server" ID="txtDateAvailable" Width="150px" maxlength="50"></asp:TextBox>
<asp:CalendarExtender ID="calDateAvailable" runat="server" TargetControlID="txtDateAvailable" format="d" PopupPosition="Right"></asp:CalendarExtender>
<asp:MaskedEditExtender ID="mskDateAvailable" runat="server" targetcontrolid="txtDateAvailable" Mask="99/99/9999" clearmaskonlostfocus="false" MaskType="None"></asp:MaskedEditExtender>
If I could figure out how to get the date format of the CalendarExtender to MM/DD/YYYY instead of just M/D/YYYY that would fix it.

I have a textbox for date input and I used a MaskedEditExtender to set the Mask="99/99/9999": here is the code:
<asp:TextBox runat="server" ID="tbDate" Width="80px" />
<ajax:MaskedEditExtender ID="MaskedEditExtender1" runat="server" TargetControlID="tbDate" Mask="99/99/9999" MaskType="Date" />
In my code when the page loads I need to set the tbDate to readonly, then when the user enters some other info on the page I will make tbDate editable (not readonly), I did all these using javascript by setting tbDate.readOnly = true/false. However, when
going from readonly to editable, when the tbDate field receives the focus, the mask __/__/____ appears, but when the user starts typing the first digit, it pushes the mask as if the mask was part of the value, so it becomes something like 12__/__/____ instead
of 12/__/____. If I commented out the code that makes the tbDate field readonly, then the mask works as expected.

I'm trying to use the TextBoxWatermarkExtender with MaskedEditExtender/Validator and have found a bug (I think).
In the textbox I enter an invalid date such as 55-55-5555 and exits the textbox. I would then expect the watermark to be shown, but it doesn't. Instead the prompchar is shown (like __-__-____).
If I simply give focus to the textbox and then another control, the watermark is shown.
Is there a workaround such as manually force the TextBoxWatermarkExtender to update.
I'm not the best with javascript, I tried to call focus() and blur() on the textbox in the textbox's onBlur event using window.setTimeout. This works in Firefox, but not IE8, also there has to be a better way I think :-)
<div>
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox5" runat="server" MaxLength="1" onBlur=""/>
<asp:ImageButton ID="ImgBntCalc" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/images/Calendar_scheduleHS.png" CausesValidation="False" />
</div>

Is there a way to set a maximum of a CalendarExtender? Like it can't go farther than '2079-06-06' (This is the limit ouf SqlServer SMALLDATETIME). Or the only way to block the user from entering a date that is out of range is to verify manually?

I have read many forums to see if I could find a solution and there hasn't been anything that is what I need. I have an asp:calendar that you select a date on there and a panel pops up. On the panel, the start date and end date are filled with the selected date from the asp:calendar. The end date field has the CalendarExtender. When you open it, the selected date on there is the same as from the asp:calendar which is good. What I need is to tweak my javascript to check to make sure that the user picks a date after the selected date from the asp:calendar. so if they pick 11/4/2010 as a start date, the end date cannot be fore 11/4/2010. Only anything after that. Not todays date(ex. 10/22/2010).codebehind for my asp:calendar sending the dates

I must be missing something here. I use the code below to display a DateTime value, and the time is always displaying, i.e. 7/11/2010 08:10:10.
I just want the date. The Format value doesn't seem to have any effect.
<asp:TemplateField
HeaderText="Exp Date"
HeaderStyle-Width="100px">
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:TextBox
ID="TextBox1"
runat="server"
Text='<%# Bind("expirationDate") %>'></asp:TextBox>
<cc1:CalendarExtender
ID="CalendarExtender1"
runat="server"
TargetControlID="TextBox1"
Format="MM/dd/yy"
/>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>

I need to display dates as "dd/MM/yyyy"
The Format property of the CalendarExtender doesn't work when the EnableScriptGlobalization and EnableScriptLocalization properties of the ToolScriptManager are True. For some unexplicable reason the seperators are changed from "/" to "-"
I can get around this problem on the client by formatting the bound textbox in the OnClientDateSelectionChanged client event but have no way to set the CalendarExtender SelectedDate property on the server because the wrong date seperator is displayed.

What I'm finding is that if I externally change the date in the text box that the CalendarExtender is attached to (I'm also using an image button with a calendar image to invoke the calendar - like the last example on the
samples page), the date on the calendar does not stay in sync.
Example:
page loads. text and calendar are set to 1/14/2010. cool. on the click event of a button elsewhere on the page I set the date in the text box to 12/15/2009.
I would expect that clicking on the calendar button to display the calendar would show December 15, 2009 in the calendar, but instead it's still stuck on January 14, 2010.
What's involved in programattically setting the date in the CalendarExtender control
in javascript?

I am somewhat new to c# so I am unfamiliar with data access. I have used PHP but it is obviously less strict of a language than any form of dot net. With some help I have put together a try/catch sequence that outputs the below error message using a 'sqlex.Message'
Invalid object name 'nwsb_tbUsers'.
I am a bit confused about the error message though because the "tbUsers" table does exist inside of my MDF database that I created it via FTP. Is something wrong with my connection string possibly?
<add name="connectionString_dbInfo" connectionString="Data
Source=tcp:s01.winhost.com;Initial Catalog=MYDBNAME_sql;User ID=MYUSERNAME;Password=MYPASSWORD;Integrated Security=False;" />
I copied this directly from my host so I would like to think that the connection string is correct. I can access the table and modify it via FTP.

I am working on a .NET web application and I'm trying to use ajax CalendarExtender for the users to specify a specific date. For some reason, when I click the icon to display the calendar, the background seems to be transparent, shown below:
What could be the reason for this?
I've tried googling it but it seems nobody has worked it out yet.
I've also tried setting up it's z-index property to as high value as 5000000 but still doesn't work.

I have a page that displays data depending upon the date range entered by the user into two textboxes. I have added the CalendarExtender control from the Ajax Toolbox to each of these two textboxes, and I would like the associated updatePanel to refresh with new data whenever either of the two dates is changed. Sounds simple enough, but I have not been able to manage it so far.

I have an asp.net 3.5 website that has been running fine on a server for over 2 years, no changes at all.
Never had any problems, but this week I started getting the following errors:
This is an invalid script resource request.

This causes my pages to throw a 404 error.
