Sep 21, 2010I have a page that does an AJAX request. This request can take a while to complete, sometimes over a minute. This is not an issue.
During the AJAX request I am unable to load any other pages on the website. This is the same for any web browser.
I understand that there are connection limits in the browser, IIS and ASP.NET - but all of them allow at least 2 connections.
I am using IIS7 and ASP.NET 4.0.

AJAX :: ComboBox Load Slow On Postback?
Feb 23, 2011I have a situation where I need to have close to 30 drop down lists on one form. The user also wants the autocomplete functionality. I decided to use the ASP.NET AJAX control. So that the page will load faster I hide them until they are needed. But, as more and more become visible the postback time is getting longer and longer.
I know this can be fixed, but I'm not sure how. Can anyone give me any advice, point me to some articles? Do you have a suggestion for another method of doing what I need? Maybe, I shouldn't even be using ComboBoxes for this?

AJAX :: Generated Image Does Not Update On Postback Page Load?
Jan 26, 2010I have a dynamically generated image placed inside an update panel. The image is generated with the Generated Image control (see here for more:
[URL]. This is basically a specialised httphandler linked to a normal asp:image, where the image src is generated dynamically. In my case, I use some GDI+ to dynamically generate the image, based on values from a database query.
The problem I have is that the image does not update when the update panel updates. The image does, however, update if I manually reload/refresh the page (i.e., hit F5). Why is is that some code fires during an update panel update, and not other code? And, more importantly, what can I do to make sure the image generation code does fire during the updatepanel update?

Aug 18, 2010i use vs 2010 ultimate. i created a 'asp.net web application' from scratch, right clicked app_data and added a new sql server database (named MyDB), built two tables and saved it, added a 'ado.net entity model' to my project(named EDM_MyDB). then i dragged and dropped a 'list view' and 'entity data source' on my default.aspx. i tried to configure my 'entity data source' instance. in configuration window, underconnection string i tried to choose my entity instance (which i'd created before) but suddenly a popup message came up and said: The metadata specified in the connection string couldn't be loaded. Sep 8, 2010I have created a web site and using System.Data.SqlServerCE dll.
I added this dll from the path:"C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual Studio 8Common7IDESystem.Data.SqlServerCe.dll"
And I run the web site in MS visual studio 2005 and all work fine and no error.
I created a virtual directory and deployed my web site to the server. Then tried to browse the page.
But when i tried to Browse the page on the Virtual Directory from server i got this error :.

I though i have missed out some dlls on server , so i tried to run my web site on the same server using Visual Studio 2005 but it still works perfectly. I dont know why when i deployed to the virtual directory then it become not working...

One on the left loading treeviewA and one on the right treeviewB.I am using update panel for aspx and the ascx too. But, I am not able to control to page state and moreover when I click on one control, it get its child item, by the time I click on other control, it would refresh other control too and will lose its value.I am using below code in aspx and I have embeded update panels in usercontrols too

C# - How To Load New Page On Postback
Aug 19, 2010I have a master page that has a usercontrol on the left side of the page with a dropdown. When the user selects a value from the dropdown I need to load a different aspx page. The new page has a similar (but not the same) looking usercontrol on the left and different content on the right. How can I do this? Also, when the new page is loaded the dropdown must remember its selection.

Jan 24, 2010Ive got some custom code that im using to load user controls dynamically depending on the option a user selects from a menu control on the page.
I wanted to create an admin page that can be used to provide a one stop shop to complete all actions within an app im building, (like a template/iframe scenario that loads all selections in a screen on the right)
My code works, however when the user has completed an action sucesfully within one ascx, then selects another from the menu on the left, it wont load the new control, it comes up blank like it hasnt refreshed properly meaning that they have to close down the page and reopen it. (which is very annoying)

VS 2008 - Unable To Load A Class In Subfolder
May 25, 2010I have a web application with root namespace called mywebapp The web application has as folder under root. Call it folder1. Now this folder contains a default.aspx page with code behind vb file class file. Call it subdomain1. Now when the default.aspx page under folder1 is requested, following error is shown Parser Error Message: Could not load type mywebapp.subdomain1. There is no problem what so ever when I run it localhost. Error is only thrown when the page is requested online. I also made some changes in a page in root folder to verify if the mywebapp.dll is correctly copied to the webserver. All the changes done for root folder are correctly reflected online

Mar 18, 2011I am using LibCurlNet on my asp.net project. I post some fields to server with it. I downloaded library and added it to my project as reference. At first I could run my project.
But now when I run project, I have an exception:

When I try to add reference to my project, in bin folder I found three .dll file but I just add the "LibCurlNet.dll".
