I have a asp.net page - manageCustomer.aspx with a button 'SyncCustomers'. When this button is clicked, customer records will be taken one by one from one database and syncd with another database. As it is a long running process, when this button is clicked and process starts, I want to show present status in a label box of the same manageCustomer.aspx page. But inside this button click event, where I have codings for this process, when I try to update text of label box, its not changing in that page. only when all process were completed, last text that i gave for label box is displayed. So, How to give updates of running process in a label?
WebuserControl holds a button that trigger a database operation. As soon as I click on button inside webusercontrol the whole control disappears, leaving behind a blank modalpopupcontrol. Remember there is no postback happening as modalpopup has updatepanel as its first child. Everything is inside this updatepanel.
I am using Crystal Report on my ASP.NET Fw. 3.5 project. My report contains 100+ pages. When I click on next page button on crystal report viewer control my whole page gets postback to server and then second page appears. This take same time when first time report gets loaded.
I have a master page containing menu items and if i click on any menu item then postback happens(it's not an asynchronous postback) that page loads in the content area. Now, if the page has taken some time to load and the user again clicks some other menu, then at some cases, it is crashing. So what i want to do is when postback is happening, I want to restrict the user to click anywhere on the master page or content page. We have achieved this on asynchronous postback.... But cant find a solution during postback.

My problem is this I have a base page that creates content dynamically. There are buttons on my Master Page that fire events that my base page needs to know about. But the OnLoad function on my base page fires before my Button_Command function on my master page. So I either need to figure out a way to load my base page after the Button_Command function has had the chance to set a variable or I must call a function in my base page from the Button_Command function.

I have some tables in my asp.net mvc application for layout purposes. Even though I usually use divs for most things, in some cases tables make most sense because they already have exactly the layout I'm after in these cases.
The only problem is, as far as I know the borders are supposed to be invisible unless you specify a width and style for the borders. But they aren't... They are rather vague, yes, but there are still light blue borders around each cell. What is that and how do I get rid of them? (Funny thing is I don't remember having seen this before when I used tables, which was a while ago).
I also tried specifically setting the border to 0px on both table and td, but that didn't work either...
I came to know that we can pass values from one page to another. What I wanted was 'on click of a button on admin.aspx webpage , the button on user.aspx page gets invisible'
After creating the instance and trying to do so, the error occured which said-"due to security the button cannot be accessed on user.aspx from admin.aspx"
Even if all the above what I did was wrong, I request you to suggest me how can I change the property of a button on webform1 from webform2 ( this is the admin.aspx page in which i have logged in) to invisible. And whosoever accesses the webform1 gets the same property (i.e. invisible) untill i click on the button in webform2 that again turns the property of the button in webform1 as visible.
this is the first time I have used Master Pages on a website I'm building. I have a Master Page which contains the defalut contentplaceholders and from that I have made content pages. When I put an ASP button on a content page inside the contentplaceholder it doesn't fire when the page is rendered. Am I missing something? Does it need to be "wired up" to the Master Page somehow?
