Web Forms :: Changing Label Content From A Button Click Code?

I have a asp.net page - manageCustomer.aspx with a button 'SyncCustomers'. When this button is clicked, customer records will be taken one by one from one database and syncd with another database. As it is a long running process, when this button is clicked and process starts, I want to show present status in a label box of the same manageCustomer.aspx page. But inside this button click event, where I have codings for this process, when I try to update text of label box, its not changing in that page. only when all process were completed,last text that i gave for label box is displayed. So, How to give updates of running process in a label?

I have a single event handler for multiple buttons. By default, the label says player 1 and when a button is clicked, the label changes to player 2. How would I go on having it go back and forth between player 1 and player 2 when a button is clicked until one of them wins? Preferably in C#.

i have some buttons in my detailsview like this

After clicking one of these buttons, my wizard ActiveStepIndex have to change. This is no problem.

But now I would like to change the buttons background-color after clicking one of them. This is no problem too, but if I click the next button, the first button background color must change to white. But it does not do that. It remains constant #cccccc.
Only the button, whitch I have clicked should be #cccccc. The other buttons should be white.

I am fetching date from oracle and putting it into a textbox. That textbox is takin value as dd/MM/yyyy format by default. Then I am storing the value in a viewstate.
There is a submit button on the page at clicking of that I am passing the viewstate to a function with explicitly converting it to the datatable.
When I click on the submit button for the first time. View state is capturing date in dd/MM/yyyy format and everything go on well. After the button click event completed.
Now if i agaian click on the submit button then viewsate is having date in MM/dd/yyyy frmat. Dont know how it is getting changed. Due to this format change I am facing issue in my bussiness logic and data access.

I had a simple working (ASP.NET) Scenario here: 3 asp:RadioButtons that each have OnCheckedChanged event that will update an asp:gridview. But now, I want to put some description for each radiobutton selection,and I thought it would be a good idea to embed them in JQuery UI Tabs like the following :

I solved 2 problems with adding ids to anchors like id="tabsA-1" and simulating the postback for

which selectedTabIndex is a public string var in code_behind and i update its value in page_load. one funny problem was that the .tabs( 'select' , index ) in JQuery is not zero-based index of the tab as the official site said and it start from 1.

trying to put some ajax functionality in my small project.Actually i want that when somebody press the OK button then it displays a message in label contol underneath of it . But i want to generate thatlabel control dynamically in the click event of Button. And i want to implement this functionality without page refresh.So i think i need to use AJAX. I am using a gridview contaning name and status as fields, all the names and status are fetched from the database.initially all the status value will be "0" in database once it is aproved it will be chaged to "1"
I want javascript prompt on selecting the gridview label=> "approve" i.e "0" as "do you want to approve??"
once it got selected the approve is changed as "Activated" once it is activated the value will be updated as "1" in database it cannot be changed further into approveIT CANNOT BE CHANGED FURTHER INTO APPROVE and no other action should me made once it is changed to "approved" i.e "1"

Situation:
1) Click on 'Check' button and the button will disable
2) Run a processing code(for checking) and once it is done, navigate to a new page(NewPage2).
Here are 2 code situations (1):

and if I do this way (2),:

it will navigate to NewPage2.aspx, but during the execution of the processing code, ButtonCheck control will not be disabled as the Click Event has not finished, and I want it to disable during the checking process. If the 1st option is executed, it will throw to me "Response is not available in this context."? HttpContext is null for (1). In my opinion, I think that the navigation does not recognise the response object as it is in a thread and has exited out of the buttoncheck event. But I'm still not sure why.

I have to save a .doc file on the server when the user clicks a button with no 'Open/ Save / Cancel' dialog box.

WebuserControl holds a button that trigger a database operation. As soon as I click on button inside webusercontrol the whole control disappears, leaving behind a blank modalpopupcontrol. Remember there is no postback happening as modalpopup has updatepanel as its first child. Everything is inside this updatepanel.
