Bing AJAX Map - Show Info Box Firing Before Map Zoom And Pan Has Ended

In my Bing Ajax Map app the user is presented with a list of locations they can choose from. OnRowClick the map center and zooms on that places location. After it has focused on that location, it shows the info window for it as well.
The problem is that the info window seems to be loading before the map has finished panning. This causes the info window to appear in the wrong spot, or not at all. For now I've put the show info method in a setTimeout tag to give it another second before loading the information, but its a fairly ugly hack and still doesn't work 100% of the time.

I am trying to use the Bing Maps Ajax Control to plot pins of locations stored in a database to the bing map on a web page. All the locations are geocoded and the lat longs stored in the database. I am using ASP.NET (C#), but can't figure out or find any tutorials on how to go about doing this. All I can find are articles on how to import shapes into a map from either GeoRSS, Bing Maps, and KML.
I have used (and paid for ;o) the excellent control from Simplovations to do alot of what I need to do, namely working with my data as normal in the code behind, getting a DataSet of my locations and plotting the points to the map. It has been great, but I want to know how to do it with out using a third party control. My main reason for wanting this is to be able to cluster my pins and hopefully learn a bit of Javascript along the way. Does anyone know how to do this or can point me to any tutorials or articles online that can help me on my way. I have been searching the net for days now and can't find anything :(

I have an ASP page, which on load fires a bunch of AJAX calls. How can I detect in javascript that all AJAX calls finished? The ajax calls are made using AJAXPRO library. I need this in order to execute some event.

I am using ajax calendar extender control, i use the following two culture
en-US and es-ES,whenever i use es-ES then it should localize the whole calendar to present teh dayas and months name and also any labels on it in spanish style names, rather than english.
how can i pass culture directly to teh calendar programmatically.OrderDate is my calendar name.

Ive used code that will allow me to find a modalpopup control through code behind and then show it to the user using the Show() method.The code works perfectly fine in some of my pages but not in others!Ive used breaks in my codebehind and it does find the popup and it goes into the Show() method but nothing pops up ?

almost typical master-detail scenario except the 'detail' data I want to display below the gridview will be coming from both the table that is bound to the gridview (master) and a related table.
simplified example: tableMain with field1, field2, field3 bound to master gridview. I need to select a row from the master gridview and have a form display below with field4 and field5 from tableMain, as well as all fields of tableDetail where field1 of tableMain equals field1 of tableDetail.
Is this what a 'formview' control is for? or do I just arrange my own controls to accommodate the data? Would a formview work considering my source will be partially from both the main table and the detail table? This is one of the scenarios were I know I could come up with something using none of the databound controls (except the master gridview), but I want to use the controls provided when it makes sense to do so, and utilize their benefits etc...

I'm building an ASP.NET MVC 2 site where I'm currently implementing an OpenID sign-up form. Unfortunately, I'm foreseeing a possible security bug/vulnerability inside my architecture.
Here's how I want OpenID login to work:
User requests /Account/Login, Controller sends back OpenIDLogin View. User enters their OpenID into the View, then OpenID authorization takes place, and finally the OpenID is returned to the Controller.The Controller checks whether the OpenID is currently in use by a user in the system or not. If it is, the user is logged in to that account. If not, the registration process begins.
And now, the OpenID registration process:
The OpenID identifier, as well as any other information provided by the OpenID provider (such as email address or name), is put into my custom ViewModel and sent to my OpenIDRegistrationForm View.The RegistrationForm View stores the OpenID in a hidden field to make sure that it gets sent back to the Controller.The user fills in the RegistrationForm View and sends it back to the Controller.The Controller creates the user account and puts the OpenID into the database.
The bug that I see within my architecture is that a user could modify the hidden value in the RegistrationForm View. Thus, they could spoof their OpenID! I will make sure to add another round of checking to the final Registration Controller Action to make sure that the OpenID that is provided doesn't exist yet, but there is still a possibility for spoofing. Can my architecture be improved somehow? I don't want this to end badly...
One solution I'm considering is encrypting the OpenID before I send it to the View and then decrypting it when it reaches the Controller. Should I try this?

i saw the video tutorial and dowload the source code but i have some trouble.
first, the flyout div show on and the info div too.
the problem is the localisation (x,y) of theses divs.
in the source demo, first clic, show flyout div and info : fine but second clic, the flyout div is more far, and info div too..
i don t understand where the info div appears.
for the flyout div, the code use the position of button and show the div.

but in my website, the info div popup always right to flyout div.

Well while I am creating solution for this, Maybe I shouldn't do it with asp.net mvc but I make my decision that it is the handy way to make it.

I'm trying to find the best way to implement Bing maps into my ASP.NET MVC2 web application.
I came accross MvcMaps Preview1 on Codeplex but it doesn't work good, at least for me. Maybe that's because it's for .NET 3.5 and VS2008, I don't know.
I'd like to avoid Silverlight. what should I use and what's the easiest way to get a Bing Map show some data on it?

In the VS2005 environment, when I test my session to make sure the page redirects to the main page (itself) if the session is null, it works. There is no error.
The function I use for this is:

However, when it is in the production environment in IIS 6.0, when the session has timed out, and I then do a postback by doing some slider control, I see the page reload but immediately thereafter, it throws a Server Error exception of : Object reference not set to an instance of object.
Looking at the stack trace, the event occured:
AJAXEnabledWebApplication1._Default.Slider1_TextChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e)
however, why is it that the Slider1_TextChanged event fired even even after during page_load, the page was told to do a response.direct ?? shouldn't the entire page have gone through a full-page refresh life cycle ? why did it continue on to attempt to raise the Slider1_TextChanged event?

Is there anyway you can get search results powered by bing, without using bing box as it just launches results in a javascript applet, I mean fully hosted on site like on here or microsoft's site? I understand a full sitemap will be needed although that easy enough using webmaster tools. I think that all the detail I need to provide, as I dont want too use Google custom search as I have to display ads and crap via adsense.

I am building a page with databound list control. For each row I want to display piece of info retrieved from web service call. This could be time demanding so I want to render page first and retrieved additional info asynchronously and in parallel later on. Anyone has some tips how to make it? Just to have a more detailed picture it is a product list in e-shop which I want to render so customers can use it (go to product detail/add goods to shopping cart...) but meantime there will be a placeholder displaying info that informations are retrieving which after completion of call will be replaced by result data.
