Feb 10, 2011I'm new to c#. I need to do a script to get the HTML content of a webpage. Where I can get examples on how to do this? I have searched here but I can't find.

1) If page is valid all data should be stored in database
2) A new webform should appear on the same window and the some content of the application form should be displayed in it.
3) When clicking on browser back button it should not post back to previous page.....
I did the first task..and i don't know the code for the remaining tasks. Here is some information

C# - Scraping Content From Webpage?
Sep 6, 2010I need to scrape a remote html page looking for images and links. I need to find an image that is "most likely" the product image on the page and links that are "near" that image. I currently do this with a javascript bookmarklet so that I am able to get the rendered x/y coordinates of images and links to help me determine if those are the ones that I want. What I want is the ability to get this information by just using a url and not the bookmarklet. The issues it that by using the url and trying something like httpwebrequest and getting the html on the server, I will not have location values since it wasn't rendered in a browser. I need the location of images and links to help me determine the images and links that I want.So how can I get html from a remote site on the server AND use the rendered location

The page won't load until data grid finish fetching .
I want to show the page to user even thou data grid didn't finished loading and after it loaded it will show. I saw that on few sites, it has preloading bar.

Dec 9, 2010When I made an AJAX call to an ASP.NET page, I had a mechanism to return some text based on QueryString parameters. Such as :
Response.Write("<text>");
But in the response, I got a lot of extra information about viewstate status. This does not happen in classic ASP or PHP. Also if I ask for the whole page, it returns it with the page directive

How to avoid this extra information and pass only the required one?
Currently I am using PHP page for returning things for the same purpose. It works totally fine.

Jan 7, 2011On my web page i have to restrict content selection if user drag mouse on page, as on normal page have enable that if user try to drag mouse then content will get select.
I have found javascript for same and apply it, its running well for IE and i have found css tag for Mozzila to restrict content selection, both working well,but now what i want , on my web page i have textboxes, due to apply JS and CSS user also can't able to select text from textbox..and i want to allow to select content from textbox.

Jan 11, 2010We have some table with messages. Each message could have attachments.
We need to have text of attachmnet inside html table of messages on web page. For the first stage we need to have at least support of doc, excel attachments (in future possibly will desire pdf). So in table we show from, subject and body as html cells of message tr. And cell for body should contain firstly rendered content of attached documents (with all images and styles), and then real message body. They don't want any links for download or something similar :(
I know only about possibility to use MS Word Save As logic (but don't have a lot of details). So in this case I should have MS word, excel installed on server. And based on type of attachment use one of the compopnents.

Dec 17, 2010I am working on a financial portal and I am having a problem..I don;t know what to call it so i mentioned it as an 'unknown to me' problem..I have a webpage..whenever I click on any button on my webpage, the request goes through..but nothing show up on the webpage..then If I click on another link and then again come back to previous link,then only I see the results of button_click..
e.g.
I have a currency conversion and investment form..so after filling up the form in following way and if I click on "INVEST" then nothing shows up..
so now if i click on any other link and go back to 'buy currency' link I see the result as 'investment successful'
Php - How To Embed The Result Of A Webpage Into Another Webpage On Another Website
Mar 23, 2010I would like to allow users to call my ruby on rails app as a service which returns a 'div' with html content in it, and embed that div into their app (which will not be a rails application).
For example, assume someone has their own php website that has a header/footer template that gets rendered, and a content area of the page that they need to fill based on some html I generate in my rails app. I would like to allow them, from php, to call to my website, get the 'div' I generate, and embed that as html in their php page.
What I'm trying to do is host a service on my site that returns some html content, but actually show that content as part of another site, so that the end user only sees the other site and never really knows about mine.
Also, I can use javascript on the client to do this if that is the only way, but I would prefer the php app to handle this at the server if possible so the client gets the html embedded from the original server and it looks like it all was generated by the php script that generated the entire page. I also want to avoid using an iframe.

AJAX :: Can Change The Content Of The Content Place Holder To A New Page With Asynchronous Postback
Jan 4, 2010I am building a website in which all of the site layout is in Master page and the content of the site is in the inherited pages. I have various links for navigation in which i simple use Response.Redirect to transfer to different pages. Now the problem is that I want to put the content place holder inside Ajax Update panel so that the postbacks are Asynchronous and I want to show the postback by an animated image inside Update Panel progress control. The problem is that I am unable to achieve this result and the entire page is posted back and rendered again. I have placed the content place holder inside the Ajax control toolkit's Update panel but it does not work. Is there any way that I can change the content of the content place holder to a new page with asynchronous postback.

Forms Data Controls :: Multiview Writing The Wrong Content But Showing The Correct Content?
Feb 26, 2010I'm in a little bit of a bind and have some weird behavior happening with a multiview control behaving differently between two machines, and of course, the production machine is the broken one. The page renders the correct content on both machines, but if I save the html file the production machine's source is wrong.
For example, if for step 1 the output should be just the letter A, and step 2 the output should be just the letter B, and step 3 the output should be the letter C, here is what happens:
Step 1:
Production - The source and output are both the letter A
Dev - the source and output are both the letter A
Step 2:
Production - the source is the letter A and the ouput on the browser is the letter B
Dev - the source and output on the browser are both the letter B
Step 3:
Production - the source is the letter A and the ouput on the browser is the letter C
Dev - the source and output on the browser are both the letter C
Is this some issue with SessionState? I'm very new to Multiviews and by no means an ASP expert.

Apr 9, 2010I'm attempting to set a class on the body tag in my asp.net site which uses a master page and content web forms. I simply want to be able to do this by adding a bodycssclass property (see below) to the content web form page directive.
It works through the solution below but when i attempt to view Default.aspx the Content1 control loses its content.

Oct 25, 2010We would like to use a contentPlaceHolder in our pages to set titles. What we would like to do is have the masterpage check the contentPlaceHolder to see if it has content in it. This way we can set up an e-mailer that will tell us what pages that don't have page titles since we have a fairly large site. We also have nested masterpages.

But when I view the page, this content comes out first, before even the tag.
how to get this code inline instead?
