I have a requirement where i want compare only the date part of a DateTime Object not the seconds with the another object.I tried if(DateTime.Compare(dt1, dt2) == 0) where it compares both date and seconds, but i want only date part.

I am trying to check for a condition such that a date in an input control (textbox) is not greater from a date 1 years from current date(exactly) and also it should not be less than a date 1 year back from current date. for eg. if today's date is "21/dec/1990" then usen cannot enter a date in textbox which is less than 21/dec/89 and it should not be greater than 21/dec/1991. for this i first tried to confirm the greater than condition, i wrote the following code:

I'm trying to calculate the yrs, months, days, hours, mins, seconds between two dates with sql server or c# (ive just used sql more).
I have some code below that I started, but I get some negative values for months, values over 31 for months, and there very well could be more issues. Honestly my math is not the greatest and Im just not sure how to fix it. I did it & also works good...bt there's an error arise when i host the site on client machine where only framework and database is present.

When attempting to place controls in different content areas using Masterpages and trying to use a compare validator, I get the error: Unable to find control id 'txtStartDate' referenced by the 'ControlToCompare' property of 'cvlDate'. I need some pointers to start on this.We are building a time off application where three instances of a calendar control will be displayed ( prev - current and next month) now users can click on various dates accross all three instances and then a count of number of days should be diaplyed in the parent textbox.
To begin with this, i started with adding the dates clicked by the user in Calendar2_SelectionChanged method into a list<> so that i can get the all dates user clicked and then add it to calander's selected dates collection. But this throws an e" object reference not set" error.
Is there anyother way to get all the dates that user click onthe calendar( note the dates doesn't get highlighed so seleteddates doesnt work)does anyone has a good example for this.

View 2 RepliesI am generating multi-series graphs with the date along the X-Axis. The problem is that not all of the series in the graph have the same dates in the date range. Meaning that if I choose 1 Feb through 30 Apr that one series may have data that starts at 1 Feb but only goes through the end of March but another series may have data for the entire date range. This skews the charts I need to create. Go, given the date range taken at the begining of the query I'd like to generate a list of dates and populate the data to be graphed, padding those series with 0's for those dates that have no data.

View 4 RepliesLooking through my web logs, I see a lot of entries that don't interest me. Some of them are commonly used images, css files, and scripts, which I can easily exclude by un-checking the 'log visits' check box in IIS for the folder properties.
I would also like to exclude log entries for certain common requests which are not in their own folders. Mostly, 'favicon.ico'. 'scriptresource.axd', and 'webresource.axd'. These (especially scriptresource.axd) make up almost a third of a typical log file on my site.

I need to create a SELECT statement for a table that excluded the TOP 10 records.
"SELECT TOP 10 field1,field2,field3 FROM AppData ORDER BY field1 DESC" returns the first 10 records from the table but I need to retrieve only from the 21st record onwards.
I simply don't know how to do it because I'm not that strong with SQL. I searched the forum for some answers but can't find a solution that I can understand.
