i had one .aspx page,which containts in pageload it excutes few stored procesdures for dumping data from Sql Server to mysql Db. So every 30 mints User manulaly running this page.
So i want to automate this page Every 30 mints it automatically should Excutes that page.with out User intaraction.24/7 process.

I have an application which is used by others on different server without problems. The app was programmed by a programmer who is not available now. It was developed on .net 2.0. The windows 2003 is a new server, asp.net is enabled. from iis, I can configure it to use asp.net 2.0....,
but, when I load the site, it always show the 404. even after I change the default.aspx to a blank page, it still shows 404. however, if I put a default.htm in the folder, and it can be loaded without problems.
what can cause this? how to fix it? if I installed a vs2005 express on the server, will it fix the problem?
it seems the asp.net 2.0 dll is not recognized on server. never had this problem before.
I have an asp.net project, and I load a base aspx page to display to the user. Then I ajax in the results of an ascx component and inject it via innerHTML in javascript. I have noticed that the ascx component loads slowly on the first page load, but instantly thereafter. This is really cool, but I do not understand how this can be cached, as the contents are generated by making several db calls. Does the server send some kind of hash to compare the contents to, to see if it changed on the server or not? Is this a browser thing or an asp.net thing?

Here is my requirement -
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.
Basically I have a page where a user can select up to 3 vehicles by make and model. I have 3 divs on the page that is generated with a basic foreach loop. When the user selects a make and model from respective dropdown lists I am firing a javascript function that returns a JSonResult that loads a dynamic partial view into a seperate div. This partial view displays a div with a grid whereby the user can select one of n-number of services using a checkbox.Next what I would like to do is if the user selects a servce for the one of the vehicle selections, I would like to add this selection to a list of "ServiceSelection" that is part of my viewmodel. Ultimately the user would click a button that would redirect to the next step in the process and pass the entire updated viewmodel to this new page.

I have got two pages - a master pages (Master1) and an .aspx page (default), with the content page attached to the master page.
However, I have run into a problem
I have some data controls like drop down boxes and textboxes in the master page, with a gridview of data in the content page. What I want to achieve is a situation where when a user searches for an item using the texbox in the master page, the gridview in the content page displays the results of that search parameter made.
I have a folder with pdfs, but I don't want them to be public (like just typing www.domain.com/pdfs/doc.pdf).
I need them to have a security measure of some sorts (like www.domain.com/loadpdf.asmx?key=23452ADFASD12345 or using POST)
How do I do this?, ive found out how to create a pdf, but not how to load one from server.

The first user of my site per day (or if nobody has used the site for awhile) gets a pretty long wait to bring up login.aspx. Subsequent users, site comes up immediately.
I understand this is an IIS setting to save resources. (I'm on IIS6). What is the community doing about this problem? I've read about writing programs to keep the site alive by hitting it every 20 min, but there must be a better way. One of my project is for a small business to provide order information for their customers -- gets used every day but not that many times per day.
Is this the reason most developers will have the first page as index.html then you click to login from there while it says "please wait for login" or similar?
I have two frames in a Silverlight application.

I've a page which consolidates different sections by different .aspx pages. Those pages will be loaded into corresponding div(s) dynamically by using jQuery.load(). They all are rendered properly, however, when clicking on any asp:button in any section page, the entire main page will be replaced by the section page even the asp:button is just popping up a message box.
View 2 RepliesAt the moment, I have an aspx page with a tabcontainer (ajax toolkit). Inside each tab, I have a little form or other content. At page load, each tab is loaded. Technically I can load the tabs at tabclick (with use of update panels) but this result in unnecessary data traffic.
Is there are a way or example how to use jquery tabs that loads aspx content (html)?
This way we can still use vs.net design tool with aspx pages and load data in a much smarter way.
Learning how to do a master page in asp.net. Trying to figure out how my style sheet interacts with respects to the master page and content page. I can get HTML tags like body and the style sheet to react. But when I call the ID attribute of a label no styling takes place. What am I missing here as far as interaction? BTW I'm using VS2008

I have 2 nested master pages, lets call them MP1 and MP2. MP1 is top level, MP2 is level
2. Then I have several content pages. Lets say I have 2 content pages for now CP1 and CP2. Each content page has a form that will have some user input and a SaveData()function that saves the data to a database. Each content page also has a "Save" button that calls the SaveData() function.
MP1 and MP2 have several link buttons. The functionality I need is this: Any time a user clicks on a link button in MP1 or MP2, the SaveData() function of the currently loaded page should be called. This is to save the data even if the user forgets to click the "Save" button before leaving the page.
So far I can do this from the link buttons in MP2. I followed the master pages tutorial # 7
In the .cs file for MP2, I declare:

then i raise a "SaveData" event any time a link button in MP2 is clicked.in every content page (CP1, CP2 etc.) aspx file, I have Master Type directive to assign the Master Page to MP2.
in CP1, CP2 etc .cs file, i have the following code:

All of this works fine.Problem is I am not able to do a similar thing from MP1.What I have tried so far is to raise an event in MP1 that is handled in MP2. When the event is handled in MP2, it raises the SaveData event to be handled in the page. The event in MP1 is null and hence never raised.
The first time that my page loads (this is after it has been deployed), it is terribly slow.
My guess is that it is still compiling dynamically, and not precompiling.When I publish through VS2008 I have "Allow this precompiled site to be updatable" unchecked and "Use fixed naming and single page assemblies" checked.Could I be missing something in my web.config file?
I can post the URL of the site if you would like to view it, but it takes 10+ seconds to load upon first visiting, and then less than 1 second to navigate the site.

I'm using this Ajax script [URL] to load content from an aspx page on another server than the page calling the content. So far I've learned that this is a no go. The problem seems to be that when using an absolute link to content the script fails as apposed to using a relative link.

I'd like to be able to enumerate all the user controls that implement an interface, and call the interface method for the controls before asp.net passes control to thier page_load events.
The problem is from the master page level, any page in the app could be loading, and each of them could have any random user control, and I need the type reference to determine if they implement the interface, and to call the method.
I want my site visitors to be able to navigate to a page without having to type the .aspx extension. For example, if I have a page file named info.aspx I want site visitors to be able to go to that page with a URL like this: www.mysite.com/info without the aspx extension.
