I have a form that works just fine, problem is that if user leave form open for more than 20 30 min and then click a button on that form the browsers status line shows "Error in page", user then must refresh the page in order for the page function.

View 1 Repliesi have a web form in which i ve a button which will open a sliding pop up box(jquery) on click of it. In the same page i ve also a linkbutton for downloading files. Now the problem is first time wen i click that button it does nothing. (will not open popup box). Once i click on download button and then if i click that button it will open popup box along with download dialog box. Why is it happening so... is it because am using same event click for both these.
but download option is implemented in gridview_rowcommand()..

If we remove the last segment of this url, it should be redirected to the custom 404 not found page, but in the deployment server it redirects to the default IIS error page for 404 errors

View 2 RepliesMy page scrolls down a bit, so the problem is when the ASP.NET validation kicks in (its a server side validation that sets a table row to visible if there was a failed validation for a given input box).The problem is, when there is an error, the page scrolls back to the top.How can I force the page to the bottom? can use <a name="asdf"></name> but the page doesn't refresh normally since its a asp.net image button.

View 8 RepliesWe have an application that runs with IE. Iīm trying to set up a ASP site. The application has some kind of autofunction. If the textboxes is named correctly they will read the data from a SQL server table (eg names, addresses).
I have set up a panel and a button (button2"). When the button is used the panel becomes visible. However this does also resets the form to itīs initial state. Letīs say I have changed the name input and then press the button, itīs reset the form and inputs to itīs earlier value. I donīt want that to happen. Also the button "mail" isnīt visible until I press the button to show the panel, but the button "mail" is not included in the panel.
Why is this happen?

When the user clicks on "OPEN" button, It should open up that(.txt) file which is on the file server in ReadWrite Mode (like in notepad) without any Access Issues.
Or simply has to be openend as temporary READONLY .Txt File. So that the user can close after viewing it.

Clicking any button (1 or 2) below works correct as it goes to the correct c# button click event in the code behind file. If I press enter on fields a or b it goes to the correct callback (button1's) if I press enter on field c it still goes to button1's callback, not button2's
How can I give my web user control a nice self contained for and view state etc, so it wont mess with the remainder of the page's form?

View 4 RepliesI have a simple ASP.NET web application for data collecting (a webform with two text fields and a Telerik editor, a button for submit with server side OnClick event listener attached).The event listener saves data on DB and then redirects to another page.Under development web server the application works fine.When published under IIS7 the event listener doesn't fire. The only way i found to make it work is to specify the action on the form tag:

I am trying to carry out a response.redirect( 'button id' & ".aspx"), can it be done?
i.e. If I have a webpage called "button1.aspx" how do I get the button1.click event to trigger the redirect without implicitly coding the click event for the respective button.
What has gone wrong. NOTE in both cases I got the blue wavy line under txFindCandidate but when free within a ContentPlaceHolder the code works.... when nested within LogInView LoggedInTemplate it fails.
