View 2 RepliesI'm using this Ajax script [URL] to load content from an aspx page on another server than the page calling the content. So far I've learned that this is a no go. The problem seems to be that when using an absolute link to content the script fails as apposed to using a relative link.

i am trying to convert aspx to pdf but i have one problem and the problem is if any image is there on the page then instead of searching for it in root directory,,,Its searching on hard disk
For ex-image path is in project folder Imagesxyz.png; but its searching as F:ImagesXYZ.png; like so how to make to search in root directory? and giving error message image file not found but if i place an image on the recommended path then its working fine.

View 3 RepliesI have a zmags catalogue program running in an IFrame, and are using the shopping capabilities to send data from the zmags viewer to a specified URL where I want to catch the data. The data is specified as XML data and stored in a "ShoppingList" POST variable. I then need to extract those data from the xml and send them as POST parameters yet again to another URL because the shopping system I'm using requires a specific parameterlist to fill the shoppingbag rather than an xml file. And I suppose I only need the ID and quantity since the rest is already part of the shopping system. In short what I'm looking for is:
catalogue --> *XML in POST variable* --> ASPX / ASCX / VB / C# (solution) --> *new URL call with new POST variables* --> SHOP aspx

This code works only in HTML format. This means that I can not select standard components: "Inserting an ASP.NET control will convert the HTML form in the page to an ASP.NET form and remove its current properties. Do you want to insert the ASP.NET control?"
When converted following code does not work anymore. I'd like that code works in ASP.NET mode.

View 2 RepliesI'm having difficulties scraping dynamically generated table in ASPX. Trying to scrape the gas prices from a site like this GasPrices. I can extract all the information in the gas price table (address, time submitted etc.), except for the actual gas price.
Is there a way I could scrape the gas prices? i.e. somehow get a text representation of it. I'm not very familiar with ASP/ASPX - but what's being generated now is not showing up in the final HTML. I'm using Python to do the scraping, but that's irrelevant unless there's a specific library...
I occasionally get errors in my aspx files which are caused by problems with the designer file. When this happens I delete the designer file, right click on the aspx file and select "Convert to Web Application".
Usually regenerating the designer file works perfectly, however sometimes I get an error which simply says "Could not parse the file pathToFile.aspx". When this happens there are no useful errors displayed in the error panel which would indicate what the problem is. I got this error a little while ago, did some searching and found a blog which explains how to get round this problem. It suggests closing the file, cleaning the project, rebuilding then tring again. VS should now give you a more useful error message which pinpoints the problem. This has worked for me in the past, but doesn't work all the time.Has anyone found a better way of identifying the problem in the aspx file when the "Could not parse file" error is displayed?

currently I am working with .net framework 3.5.
Now the problem is that, I need the contents of all the .ASPX page of the whole website.
From the study through the stuffs on internet, I got to know that the website was published with "Allow this precompiled site to be updatable" unselected.
So in all .aspx page i get the message "This is a marker file generated by the precompilation tool, and should not be deleted! "
My master page has 3 content place holders:
1. left side bar
2. middle content area
3. right side bar
So it looks like:

<div id="content"></div>
<div id="right"></div>
On a particular view page (.aspx) that inherits the master page, I want to now show #3 (right side bar).
So I don't want the to be rendered at all.
