I have a folder, 2010/08/06, 2010/08/05, a total of 30 such maps. In each folder there is one picture 01.jpg. When I click on the link I need to create a page that will be 30 photos, each of your folders. It should create a script that will count from today's date back 30 days,also each of these images (01.jpg) should be a link.

Task at hand:
I want code in VB.NET to create javascript arrays of the folder contents that can then be used on the client end. I only need arrays for all folders contained in folders starting with ad_ and an array for all the base folders . like so:

I have tried binding images to repeater from one folder called images . But now, I am trying to bind the repeater with different folder's images, based on which menu item is clicked like "Wedding", "Birthday". When "Wedding" is clicked then it repeater should be loaded from Wedding folder's images similarly with "Birthday".

So i would like to maintain log by storing the details of the user whoch clicked and number of times he clicked the specfic document. Suppose if he clicked the accounts.pdf file 3 times.Then the log main the browsing details of file for 3 times.Automatically need to increase count to the number of times clicked and stored into log.
I have two types of downloads at our site. One is from our server and rendered using server side code, which I record the number of downloads whenever the code is executed. Another is from our parterner's site and offerred with a regular html link, like

I'm looking at ways to reduce the quantity of Round Trips to my site for my clients. Right now I have several images that I think should be combined into a single image like this:

... that way I can reduce the round trips and increase the speed in which my site is used (after the first load). Is there any simple tool that will do this for me? I figure it's 2010 and someone somewhere automated this. I have Visual Studio, and Expression Web and don't see it there

Using "Enable Delete" from Gridview control, I can delete (besides, update, sort, paging, etc) data from the database (this is done automatically). However, how can I delete the actual image that resides in my image folder (i.e. from "pix" folder )? What is the best way to delete image? If using code behind, how? Please write a full code for me. Here is my requirement -
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.
I have set link color as red and vlink as yellow and green color for alink but the color shown for links is always green for visted and active link?
View 5 RepliesAfter submitting a form, the user is presented with a link to a pdf document. The link is straight to the document, it is not streamed.
If the user right-clicks and chooses 'save link as,' the document saves and opens fine. However, if the user just clicks on the link, the browser takes a very long time to respond (I'm going to guess it's 3 minutes) and then adobe reader gives the following error:
"the file is damaged and could not be repaired"
This is in Chrome v5, ASP.NET 3.5 and the link is returned inside an UpdatePanel.

View 1 RepliesI've been trying to get image caching working for the last 8 hours and I keep the same problem time and time again, I'm trying to cache Images at the moment and then when thats succesful, apply this to cache my js and css files. I have at the moment Sql Dependancy caching working on my dynamic pages but the page still takes to long due to images not caching.
What I have tried is going to IIS7 Management and adding HTTP Response Header for the images folder and setting various things for the cache control.i dont care how long it caches it on the client or on the proxy servers i just would like it to check when the file was modified and compare it with the one in the client or proxy cache and if they are different then fetch the new image which has been ftp up. i could solve this by changing the image name but the thing is the image name is generated when they are ftp'd to the site by an application and the name is a direct reference to the product so i cant change the name each time, as it would mean making a lot of otherpages accross the board.
so What i would like, is to set and expiry date of lets say 32 days or more on the images and then check to see if they have changed by date modified or some other way of checking(Etags maybe) I'm not sure, if they have changed on the server then redownload and recache them, I tried using post-check and pre-check together but that just permantly cached them, so when i change the image the only way it would display the new image is to just hit F5.
In Brief, how can i Cache images, on the client machine/ proxy cache and recache them when the modified date of the file has changed.

I want to get clients images in web app(upload) and store them in DB (mysql) then send these images to windows app via web service (so i new web service, not web site). But i have 2 problems:
I have 2 ways to store images in mysql, first i should have BLOB field in DB -that it takes more space-, second i should save just name of each image in DB(so have image in one folder) -in this way i don't know how get image from clients and store them in that folder-. which one? Or what other? How (code) can i transfer image via web service(Byte[] or? ).
how to upload images to server(application/images folder) and retrive(display) from and on client PC for asp.net. its just for uplaoding logo directly to server folder and retriving from server to client. i am not getting server path on client pc for image.
