Custom Server Controls :: Firefox (Firefox/3.6.13 ) Not Saving Cookies For Https In Logi Report(It's A Reporting Software0?
Feb 7, 2011
I am using Logi Reports for creating reports in my application. I am passing cookies from web application to these logi reports. Cookies were workign correctly before, but after the release of this version. Cookies are not working in these logi reports.
when trying to run sql server report manager on Internet explorer its ok ,but when i try to run it in firefox i get thie exception?Server Error in '/Reports' Application.Access is denied. You might not have permission to view the requested resources.Error message 401.3: You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied (access denied due to Access Control Lists). We are facing a very strange issue, which is senseless. We have dedicated test server and live server. cookies work properly both on IE and firefox locally. when we deploy it on dedicated test server, It also work their on both browsers. But as soon we deploy it to our live dedicated server, it works properly on IE, but firefox does not remember cookies. Here i want to tell you one more thing that both test setver and live server configurations are same. they both are 64 bit machines. Waiting for ur responses.
Our website has been using IIS6 for a long time. We test on IE8, Firefox, and Chrome. All browsers worked fine. We recently did an upgrade to IIS7, and Chrome and IE8 continue to work normally, but Firefox appears to be unable to get the ASP session cookie. As a result, when our code checks the Session[] object, we see nothing, we think the user has logged out, and the site resets your session.
Does anyone know why upgrading to IIS7 would cause this behavior in Firefox? We've: 1) Reverted our application pool back to classic mode (no change); 2) Added a dummy value in the Global.asax object (no change); and 3) changed the web.config file from "authentication cookieless=autodetect" to "cookieless=usercookie" and back (no change).
I find that each time I run asp.net application in browser other than ie (safari/chrome/firefox) within visual studio, will cause all cookies on my pc deleted. This is really inconvienient since cookies contain important info on my pc. I'd like to know the solution for it.
I have a user control which, when pressing a command button, sets a property for the Profile (which has been marked as allowanonymous=true), then save it using Profile.Save().
Now, in IE this works fine - no problems at all. I then go to the page where the value is used - and it's there and can be used.
However, exactly the same routine when running in Safari or Firefox doesn't work - although when you're on the same page where the value is set it will immediately state that the value is ok, do a postback and it's gone!
Here's some very simple code to show the problem. Whilst IE will always dump 'plop true/false' to the screen (yes, I know - very juvenile!), FF and Safari will the first time, but on postback will just dump True to indicate it's a postback. (oh, and autosaveprofile is set to true in this example - otherwise there'd be a Profile.Save() below the set property).

I can't use Cookieless session states as the CMS I'm using won't allow it. I've also used Fiddler to try and track the issue, but no joy.
I'm guessing it's related to the way FF and SF handle cookies - but both are set to accept anything. Could it possibly be anything to do with the ASP.Net Development Server? (ie. the address is[URL]The fact that it never manages to save the value
If i access reports(RDL) through firefox am missing print button is missing. Can someone tell me does report viewer support non - IE browsers completely.Do we have any comments from microsoft on this.If yes please sene me the URL.
I'm trying to server an exe to Firefox from an aspx page. The aspx page handles the headers and the page is launched by our Flex GUI. Flex correctly launches the link for all browsers (including Firefox) so I'm certain that's not the issue.
The problem I'm having is when I try to download the file from within Firefox, FF downloads the file fine but it names it "Content". It has no extension and the file name is incorrect. All the other browsers download it with the file name I specified in the aspx page and they all have the .exe extension. I should note that if I rename the "Content" file to "Content.exe" it runs correctly.Below is the code I'm using in my aspx page -
I got a HTML control with textboxes in the table cells. It works fine in Internet Explorer but in firefox and opera, the controls are not in the table cells and thrown out.Don't know where to start looking.
I m using Client side RDLC reports, the problem which i m facing is that IE shows the report with Print button but Morzilla Firefox does not show print button. How can i rectify the above problem or an alternative soln.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
HttpContext.Current.Request.Browser.MajorVersion returns 3 and HttpContext.Current.Request.Browser.MinorVersion returns 5. So far so good.
However for this user agent string (seen in the wild by one of my users)
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 (CK-Finbu.com) Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
HttpContext.Current.Request.Browser.MajorVersion returns 1 and HttpContext.Current.Request.Browser.MinorVersion returns 9. It looks like ASP.NET has picked up the numbers from the CVS tag info rather than the browser version. Does this mean that ASP.NET's user agent parsing is broken?
I previously asked on StackOverflow how to parse XML downloaded programmatically by my ASP.net application. By this, I mean that the user visits https://www.example.com/page1.aspx. The code-behind for page1.aspx is supposed to somehow download and parse an xml file located at https://www.example.com/foo.xml.
I received good answers about how to parse the XML. However, I've been out of luck with being able to retrieve XML from my secure HTTPS server.
I am looking at a situation where https://www.example.com/foo.xml authenticates requests with a cookie. (third party system, not Forms Authentication). The answer I received to my question about how to download and parse XML suggested that I use the System.Net.WebClient class. I read that the WebClient class must be customized to work with cookies. Therefore, I wrote the following code:
public class WebClientWithCookies : WebClient { private CookieContainer m_container = new CookieContainer(); public CookieContainer CookieContainer
[Code]....
However, when the request is received at https://www.example.com/foo.xml, there are no cookies in the request, and so it doesn't work.
So I have a Hyperlink called lnkTwitter:And I'm trying to set the url in the code behind:lnkTwitter.NavigateUrl = string.Format("http://www.twitter.com/home?status={0}", Server.UrlEncode("I'm Steven"));When I do that and hover over the link, the url displays correctly in the status bar as "http://www.twitter.com/home?status=I'm+Steven", but the actual url, if I click on the link or look at the link's properties, is "http://www.twitter.com/home?status=I%27m+Steven".For some reason, this only happens in Firefox; in IE, I am taken to the correct url.
I am working on a asp.net web site, like normal user, we use asp.net developer server during coding and testing.Today, I found the firefox not cache any static file of my site, since our application is pretty big, it made page load time very slow.I checked firefox about:cache, all the static file cache setting looks like
Key: http://localhost:26851/App_Layout/icons/actions/email/folder.png Data size: 871 bytes Fetch count: 1[code]...
The expires date is set back to 1969-12-31, I believe that's the reason why they are loaded very time.I am using Visual studio 2008, windows 7 machine. The application works fine in IE, the contents are properly cached.
i have some problem on downloading file which file types are .doc, .docx and .pdf.
I have wrote the code for downloading when the button is click. the button can download these three types of file when click.

But, i have some weird condition. when i test in my local pc using the firefox, the downloading box popup with the file type detected. but when i upload the code files in live server and test the download button using firefox, the downloading popup but it cannot detect the file type.

I'm currently working on a project that will allow users to do the following:. Choose one or more reports from the report library.2. Cycle through each report, choosing the parameter values to use to run each report.3. Generate a pdf containing all of the reports in one large file.4. Download the pdf.I'm handling 1, 3, and 4 just fine but running into some problems with item 2. The multi-select parameters are giving me headaches. Basically I want a page that contains the parameter selection piece of the standard SSRS web interface but instead of "View Report" it would fire off a function I've created that saves the parameter values and then reloads the page for the next report in the list chosen by the userDoes anyone know if the Report.aspx source code is available somewhere? I'm currently using a PopupControlExtender, CheckboxList, and Textbox to try and mimic the functionality of the multi-select parameter interface that's provided by SSRS but am having trouble getting the page to postback when the user clicks outside the list of parameter values (the default SSRS interface does this).
I have an app I am working on that retrieves a report from SSRS using the web service. I've have it saving to PDF, however I would like to change that to excel format. I tried changing the format from "pdf" to "xls" but it throws an exception.
