I am using a gridview contaning name and status as fields, all the names and status are fetched from the database.initially all the status value will be "0" in database once it is aproved it will be chaged to "1"In gridview the all the values are displayed as "approve" which is "0" when i click on that approve a javascript confirm prompt askin "do you want to approve??"
if i select ok the approve is changed as "Activated" once it is activated the value will be updated as "1" in database.

I have Template fields configured for Gridview. The gridview is using an objectdatabsource to bind itself. I have the gridview configured to use Templatefields which then contain tables to display the information. This works fine.
My question is, is it possible to change the text of the label if certain criteria is reached. If "NumberOfDwellings" is 1 then change the label to read, "1 Dwelling". Where-as if NumberOfDwellings has more than one then it's "3 Dwellings".

I am having gridview and i have check box for each row. There are 2 buttons ,accept and reject outside the gridview. I'm trying to get the text value of a label when that row is selected in my gridview. The label's text is databound. Originally when I used the <ASP:BoundField /> I retrieved the data by using this syntax "Server.HtmlDecode(row.Cells[1].Text )" when an "onrowcommand" event is triggered. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a template field which has four itemtemplates that each hold a label in a gridview. These labels are always constant with the same strings. What I want to do is change the css formatting of these four labels depending on the value of a column. So the css formatting would have to be done for each row, not the whole column. I bind the gridview to a dataaccesslayer so there is no sqldatasource on the page. Does anyone have any idea how to do this and where it would be done. I will have the dataview with the data sorted in the correct order. The actual column that is used to alter the CSS will not be in the gridview although I could assign it to the datakeyname if that makes it easier as the data is not sensitive.

I am trying to figure out a way to change the color of the text display in a label control or span inside a user control. The text needs to be displayed in a different colour based on the value returned.

The text value would be one of the two. The font color needs to be ether red or green based on whats been returned.I cannot figure out how to do it.

My problem is as follows:I have a gridview that get populated from a stored procedure in my MS SQL database. This gridview has a column that is a link field that I click to navigate to a new page that should display the correct info in the relevant labels.So the gridview returns say five diffrent rows of companies (and this work great by the way) and lets say that the 'company name' is the link field column that I meantioned earlier. So now I the company name and this navigates me to the Company.Aspx page, which so far is all working well.What I cant seem to get right is how to pas the correct row of the the passed dataset to display in the correct label fields, here is a brief snippet of what I mean:
