Basically as the title of this thread states, I have a FormView that has a GridView inside it and my ObjectDataSource that populates this grid cannot access the Grid.
The Control Id needs to be the name of the Grid I want to access, however through the 'wizard' the Control parameter drop down cannot 'see' the grid I need, only the FormView that is in.
I have tried numerous ways to get round this and am struggling now..
I've tried the following...
ControlID="FormView.GridView1"
ControlID="FormView.FindControl("GridView1")
ControlID="<%= GetNameOfGrid %>"
and numerous other attempts that also failed that I now cant remember...

I have a GridView, the first column it's a RadioButton template and the second it's a DropDownList Template, the number of rows depends on the user, I mean they are not static. I'm using the following JS function to get the row selected with the radiobuttons:
[Code]....
With this function I know which RadioButton was selected, now, I would like to get the DropDownList value or text of the selected row, I know I have to loop through every DropDownList to get an array of controls, but since they are something like ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_GVProducts_ctl02_DValsDropDown, I just don't know how to achive this through JS.

I have a user control (ascx) which contains a control (hidden field). In the page_load event of ascx, i have the below code:
HyperLink.Attributes.Add("onclick", "JavaScript:return AccessControl('" + hdnField.UniqueID + "');");
Note: The hidden field resides in .ascx file.
I want to access this hidden field at runtime and i have the below javascript function in aspx page that loads the usercontrol.
function AccessControl(hdnFieldId)
{
var ctrl = document.getElementById(hdnFieldId);
alert(ctrl);
I am getting 'null' value in the alert. I tried using 'ClientID' and 'this' instead of 'UniqueId'. I am wondering why this is not working. I am using .net 2.0.

I have a Gridview X in which there are 6 columns(5 template columns that are text boxes and 1 bound field). The user has the option of changing the value in the text boxes annd saving them. There is one more GridView Y that displays DB values(all 6 columns are bound fields). Initially X will show the values that being shown in Y, and when user changes the values in Y,he should be able to save it. If we are trying this using OnTextChanged event of asp:Textbox, there is a postback everytime the user makes a change in any of the textboxes. Instead i want it such a way that all the changed values should get concatenated together and should be sent to the DB.

Simply, I have an anchor inside a repeater that triggers on click a javascript function, which sets the innerHTML of a Div to some content.
trying this outside a repeater did work! but if I tried to implement the same code in the repeater's item template, it won't work!
NOTE: I think I need to access the repeater first then access the Anchor inside it! but I don't know how to do it
For further illustration:
JavaScript Function:
function show(ele, content) {
var srcElement = document.getElementById(ele);
if (srcElement != null) {
srcElement.innerHTML = content;
}
}
The repeater's code:
<asp:Repeater ID="Repeater1" runat="server" >
<ItemTemplate>
Name : <%# Eval("name")%>
<DIV ID= "PersonalInfo1" runat="server"></DIV>
<A id="A1" href="#" runat="server" onclick="show('PersonalInfo1','Address : ')">More...</A>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>
PS: THE POSTED CODE ISN'T WORKING IN THE REPEATER!
