Data Controls :: How To Save GridView Deleted Rows To Separate Table
Nov 11, 2013
I have made a call logging application in which i have authorised a normal user to edit update and delete from the gridview. But i want to give the admin person rights to see all the complaints deleted updated edited..i have thought a lot but all in vain havent found.
I want to bind gridview with datatable in this dt ihave 4 columns , dt
Id Name isdelete value 1 xyz true 2 uio false 3 bbb true 4 ccc false
this is gridview
[Code]....
but i want not bind those rows whose isdelete coumn value is false and i want to show 4 th column as textbox and user will enter some text or number and if he click save button outside of gridview one record shld save in database
I have a couple of things that are not working with my Gridview:
1) I've managed to display 3 columns in one column (see code above) but the data is separated by commas, how can I display each data item in separate rows.
2) How can I make the data unique, as I have added the distinct command which I configured in my SQL data source
3) I need the rows to not display nulls, but at the moment it isn't displaying the row if one of the columns is null?
How can i save selected rows of a gridview (appearing inside javascript pop up page) into another gridiew (appearing inside "other" java script pop up page) on SAVE button click??
I want to be able to select rows and save them for later display. I wish to store the data in a session object for viewing before i decide to save permanent in database.
I have a gridview that contains template fields with textboxes that is used to look up inventory items. The page loads using an arraylist to display a gridview control with a predetermined number of rows. There is also drop down control that allows the user to add additional rows to the gridview if needed.
Currently when a user has already entered some data if you use the drop down to add more empty rows all the original entrys are removed. I want to save the original data and then add empty rows at the end.

Private Sub LoadDataGrid(ByVal numberOfRows As Integer) Dim Counter As Integer Dim GridList As New ArrayList For Counter = 0 To numberOfRows GridList.Add(New LibVB.Form2VB(Counter)) Next gvEnterParts.DataSource = GridList gvEnterParts.DataBind() End Sub <<
I'm lost, kind of a newbie to .net, have been working on this for 2 days! d.
I have changed the look and feel of the grid by modifying the cols, rows in the gridview. I need to save this in the gridview viewsate, so that it load the modified look and feel next time it loads from the viewsate.
I came across the below article, I would like to know how to properly respond to the drop or stop event so that I can show the Save button only once someone changed the order. In other words, I would like the Save button hidden initially, only to make it visible once a drag and drop has occurred.
i have 50 rows in the database, i want to load those data from database and show on page using datalist
i set RepeatColumns="6" and RepeatDirection="Horizontal"
so 8 rows will come up. at the end of the last row only 2 data will show.. i want to show that only 2 data in the first row not in the last row.. how i can do that..be aware, i only want to show 2 data in the first row and in second row 6 data and carry on at the end..
in my gridview iam at page load event iam displaying data from view.my 1st column in the gridview is checkbox, when user selects the checkbox and iam using paging in gridview, when user selects the checkbox and selects the rows from first page or from any page, that have to be stored in database.
in my database the table contains
orderid int primary key autoincrement productname nvarchar price nvarchar quantity nvarchar total nvarchar
when user selects the rows then in database how to store multiple rows in that table field
in my gridview iam at page load event iam displaying data from view.my 1st column in the gridview is checkbox, when user selects the checkbox and iam using paging in gridview, when user selects the checkbox and selects the rows from first page or from any page, that have to be stored in database.

i am trying to export gridview into dataset using Datatable but if u used "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel" the datatable showing me sum error. is there any other way to export gridview in dataset???
I have a GridView. One of its columns contains monetary amounts. Underneath the GridView, I have a SqlDataSource which calculates the sum of this column and displays it in a label which is in a DIV called totalsbox (that I have added runat="server" to).
Obviously, if the GridView is empty, I don't want this label to be visible.
In the Page_Load, I have placed the following code:
[Code]....
[Code]....
This works fine. When the Page first loads, if the GridView is empty, the entire DIV is hidden; if not, the DIV is visible and the label displays the column SUM. imagine now the GridView DOES have rows, the DIV is visible and the total is displayed properly in the DIV ("£10.00", say).
I have a RowDeleted event handler in the code behind which contains exactly the same code as I put in the Page_Load. As I delete rows, one by one, the sum is recalculated and displayed properly. But, when I delete the final row, I would expect this code to hide the DIV as the GridView is now empty.
This doesn't happen, however, the DIV remains visible and I have, in the label, something like "£ ".
Why is it that the code works in the Page_Load but not in the RowDeleted event handler?
I'm making a simple homes classifieds section and when a home ad is created, a HomeID is automatically created for it in the db. I need the images to upload and enter the associated HomeID with each image automatically. What I tried isn't working, because it looks like it's looking for the HomeID in the codebehind before it gets entered into the db.
I have a gridview and which contain checkbox field too.If the checkbox is clicked and then delete button click, relevent record is deleted. This delete function is working properly.
problem Even though record is deleted,it does not affected in gridview.Deleted record is still remaining in the gridview. What will be the way that should I follow solve this problem?
I have wired an event to handle delete command for my GridView. But I cannot determine which the record's unique key, in my case stored in DOCIDNO field. All I get is a row index, such as 0, 1, 2 which obviously cannot be used to accurately delete a record from database.
I am trying to delete a row in the GridView with an ImageButton Link. By clicking the button, the GridView row is set with a backColor = "Red" and with delete confirmation window. On Cancel, the background color is removed, but When I confirm the deletion, the row is not deleted. I use the following code:
The bellow code deletes the row, but the without setting the background color on the row prior
deletion:Â ImageButton deleteButton = (ImageButton)e.Row.FindControl("deleteImageLink"); deleteButton.OnClientClick = "if (confirm('Are you sure you want to delete this user account?') == false) return false;";
a)i have an gridview, i need to every record show in every rows, but it's show in both column and rows...., how fix this?i use only itemTemplate in this gridview!
b)how i link a field thats show in gridview and pass to a new page(with query string) for show single record....?
(this is like "read more..." link in many news site!!!)
c)in my db is a 'ntext' field, but when that show in Gridview, all enter(Chr13) and whitespace deleted, how fix this?
I am retrieving a column from a table using an SqlDataSource in ASP.NET/C#, which contains multiple 'values' separated by commas. I'd like to be able to separate this values into multiple columns in my GridView, and also allow them to update them. Is this easy to accomplish?
