Mar 18, 2010I'm working on a project in vb.net framework 2.0 and have a column that has server names. I have the accessdb sql setup to order by the db, what I would like to do is to have it look like the following picture below. I'm pretty stumped on how to do it as the methods I've found online haven't worked so well. Also just a small tid-bit the gridview is bound to a ddl which selects the application and the gridview refreshes with server data. It is sorted by server than environment so the columns contain much of the same info for those over and over. Country would be server name and state would be the environment.

First column is as it is. But next 4 columns I try to make merge from Gridview Row Databound Event. It's working.
I have a link button in column1 and when I click on it, Row Command is fire and at that time the merge is gone. And Last row comes in footer row.

I want to merge the cell programmitically when ItemDataBound.
1,2,3,...,31 are material date request. If I request Material B with quantity 4500 from 2nd until 4th the cell will be merge.
I already read about Merge Cell in Gridview in this forum, but this solution is different with datagrid.

When I search for the part number 12345, the gridview will display like this
PartNumber | PartDetails
12345 | image1 (image1 will see as document picture)
If I search Part Number and doesn't get any data results in gridview the information will be:
PartNumber | PartDetails
0 | image2 (image2 will see as red cross picture)
How to change the image2 in the same column cell 1 in the GridView when the data results are "0" ?

My issue is that the first row of data in my db table does not seem to be output to my ListView control when I run the page. The first item in the ListView control is the 2nd row of my db table.
If I execute the stored proc listed below in SQL Server Mgmt Studio all rows are returned to the query results window.

Mar 24, 2010I am using a bound gridview in ASP.NET 2.0. The gridview has the ability to edit/update and insert rows. One of the columns holds a number which represents a percentage. What I cannot figure out is how to ensure that all the rows in the gridview total 100% before being able to send the updates or newly inserted data to the database.
For example say there are 5 rows in the gridview, each row has 20% stored in the column so it adds up to 100% which is fine, the data is updated/inserted in the database. But say each row only had 15% totalling 75%, the user should not be able to send the updated/inserted data to the database until either they add a new row with a percentage of 25 or they edit the other rows for a cumulative total of 100%
