DataSource Controls :: Convert DateTime Syntax To 24 Hour Format
Jan 28, 2010
I keep getting errors when I try to convert. I have a date row that when my page loads it displays as
1/28/2010 12:00:00 AM.
I have my default value set to '00:00:00" for it. I'm trying to convert it to 24 hour format so that it will read out as 00:00:00 initially. SQL Statement(The one that is working)
SELECT user_id, bpi_title, HoR, Date, Duration FROM tblViewLog2
JOIN tblBPIModules on tblViewLog2.module_id = tblBPIModules.id
I assume that I need to modify my SQL statement, but I'm having a hard time with the exact syntax. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I need to do with the information below in order to get what I want.
14 or 114
24 hour time with milliseconds.
HH:mm:ss:fff
21:00:00:000
working with sql server 2005/ visual studio 2005 asp.net c# i just wanted to know ... to insert a date to the database in a field that gets "dateTime" i need to insert the origin syntax. what is the right syntax for the datetime in the database? and to invent for users to insert a wrong sytax ... wich validations i need to put on the field? same question on the type "image" in database it gets like a jpg file? how do i insert an image to the database? I have date in a text box in the following format "dd-MM-yyyy"How do i convert this into standard datetime format, i could do DateTime.Parse(txtDate.Text).Date but how do i define the current format of this date before parsing, i mean how do i tell the parser that this date is currently in the format "dd-MM-yyyy" usualy parser assume date to be in "MM-dd-yyyy" format i guess?
I've been googling for a while now and for the life of me can't seem to find a solution. I thought this would be easy but it's taking too long and am turning to stackoverflow.
I need to convert a string which contains a date and time to a DateTime variable. I've formatted the string in the exact format I want to store it in but when i convert it to a DateTime it keeps adding the seconds which I don't want. I want it stored as 01/01/2010 09:00AM. Here's the code I've been using so far:
q="select convert(char(8),datecol1,112) from tblone where datecol2 is null"
is what I use for my query string for sqlcommand(). I'm getting the error "a field or property datecol1 could not be found in the datasource". Without the convert, the query is ok.
the problem is when I use debugging mode, I mean using with visual studio, it's going fine. But when I call from IIS there has a error.. Unterminated string constant. I know where is the problem
I have an application that uses a time date picker control to display a date from a sql (sql 2000) table. Casting from the table to the control works fine, but writing a selected date from the control back to the database does not, I was under the impression that a datatype 'date' in VB would be compatible with SQL datetime datatime, and obviously it is from sql to vb as the date is correctly displayed in the control reading from the table. How do I need to convert the value from the date time picker control to write into sql ?
I am selecting time from dropdownlist. and want to convert it in datetime and store it in database. When I am converting it to Datetime using following statement.
I have the following date in string format "2011-29-01 12:00 am" . Now I am trying to convert that to datetime format with the following code:
DateTime.TryParse(dateTime, out dt);
But I am alwayws getting dt as {1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM} , Can you tell me why ? and how can I convert that string to date.
EDIT:
I just saw everybody mentioned to use format argument. I will mention now that I can't use the format parameter as I have some setting to select the custom dateformat what user wants, and based on that user is able to get the date in textbox in that format automatically via jQuery datepicker.
i have used the Created_Date = DateTime.Now, to set the default value of a datebut i want that date to include inaddtion to the day the hour minutes and seconds
I have to get input from user in flat file format.then convert it to xml. Then, i have to store the entries into a datatable in the database. say 1,2,3 a,b,c be the user entries. it shall be stored into a table with 2 columns.how to do this?
For reporting we used report RDLCs and displayed using an ASPX form. We implemented using the route as shown below. This resulted in forcing us to use the page route below and also to use the hyperlink instead of the normal Action Link. The question is how do we convert the asp:hyperlink ASPX syntax to Razor syntax.
I have a page that does an upload of an xlsx file to a datatable and write into SQL.
That is working, my problem is when i upload the file and pass the values to the datatable some of them are showing in the wrong format and the column name dont appears.
e.g.:
Hours at home Hours working 3:00 8:00 01-01-1900 1:35:00 01-01-1900 2:35:00 01-01-1900 3:35:00
The first 2 columns its how i want the info the third is how my problem looks like.
I've tested and the problem occurs when the same column has more than one value.
The format of the cells is h:mm if i change it to text it works fine but i dont want that because the time will be converted to semething like this 0,123456789.
I dont know if it matters but the xlsx file is kinda complex and has 10,2MB.
I am using time picker control which you have created but I stuck in one issue. Iam using 24 hour format. but i its throwing in msg box standard hour instead of 24 hour format. How to get 24 hour format.
DateTime time = DateTime.Parse(string.Format("{0}:{1}", TimeSelector1.Hour, TimeSelector1.Minute));
I created a UserControl and added a public DateTime property. I want to set this property in Markup (ie. <cc1:MyControl runat="server" id="MyControl1" DateTimeProp="1/1/2010" /> ) however I live in a place with a dd/mm/yyyy date format so it complains if I set something like "20/1/2010". Is there a way to set markup in my local datetime format or do I have to conform to "mm/dd/yyyy"?
