How can I insert DealerID the same way? DealerID is automatically generated in tblDealers table when "InsertExternalInfo" asp.SqlDataSource control runs "InfoInsert" SP.

I have imported a table from a text file and 1 of the fields was a text field and it imported with " around the text.
so instead of being Field Text it is "Field Text"
how with a simple stored procedure could I eliminate those quotation marks?
I have one table with three columns, one of them datatype is nvarchar and I want to insert text in this columns in diferents lagauge.
Lets assume Hindi langauge. I know I can insert text in hindi laguage by using N prefix.
for example. Insert into myTable(column1) value('इमरान खान').
But I dont know how to use this N prefix in stored procedure.

i am using modalpopupextender and a listviewWhen the user click on an item in the listview it call a modalpopupextender.In that modalpopupextender there are 2 dropwn fill with datasource.When i click the ok button it call a stored procedure with 3 parameter.Nothing happen if i pass the dropdown SelectedItem.Value to the parameter but if i use a static variable the insert will work i don't know what i am missing.

The columns I am trying to insert nulls into are commentid and imageid. I have created an Insert statement in a stored procedure and I get the foreign key constraint error. Can you tell me how to allow inserting data in the other columns without having to insert anything in the commendid and the imageid?

I have a insert into statement thats inserting my numbers from a numeric text box on my aspx page. I am choosing the Amount Type then putting in a a number.
So i have a drop down that i select example Direct Charge then i enter 600.00 and click add it puts that in to the databse for me woot..
I then put in say Misc Credit and enter 200.00 it inserts in that into the database woot.
The look up table that has my amount types has a field called numeric opperator which is either + or - the Credit being a - and the Charge being a + then my stored procedure takes all my + numbers and adds them up and subtracts all the - numbers.
I want to change that so that it actuall be inserted into the table as a - number form the start. So I want choose Misc Credit enter 200.00 and click add then my event says o yea thats a credit insert 200.00 as -200.00
How can I do that?

I need to populate a text box from a stored porcedure call that does not have any parameters. I've made the database connection and am executing the stored procedure, but I cannot figure out how to set a text box value to the return value of the stored procedure. BTW, the stored procedure only returns one value.

View 1 RepliesI am using Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 and have added a SQL datasource to my form.
When I configure the datasource, I choose my connection string which looks like this in my webconfig:

The database I am using has a schema called EQB and as such, my stored procedures are named as EQB.usp_SelectFunds, EQB.usp_SelectAccount, etc.
On the select tab of the Configure Data Source screen, I choose to use a stored procedure. The dropdown shows my stored procedures, however, the schema name does not show up in front of the stored procedures in the drop down. I see only usp_SelectFunds, usp_SelectAccount, etc.
I select one of the stored procedures and when I click TEST, I get the message that the stored procedure is not found. If I instead choose to use a SQL statement instead on the configuration screen and enter EXEC EQB.usp_SelectFunds and click TEST, it works fine.
Why are my stored procedures not showing up correctly in the stored procedure drop down and how can I fix this?
