The first pass through the foreach runs perfectly, the second time through I get an error: Cannot attach an entity that already exists.
What is best way to work around this?
I have though about putting the foreach loop in my business_logic layer, and have it pass both the newRecord and OldRecord, but figured I would ask, before making the code change.

My question is that, for each control the Stored Procedure called or not? If it is yes then it is time consuming and I need to use LINQ to DataSet or LINQ to Object rather than to call SP for each control. What is difference between LINQ to DataSet and LINQ to Object?

Then a new article is saved to the database but the entity framework must be generating a new blank Guid and saving that to the database rather than allowing it to be auto generated as the articleid that shows up saved is all 0.How can i get the Entity Framework to let the Database generate the ArticleId?

Ive used LINQ to SQL for a few years and am happy and comfortable with this, but now with entity framework available this is another method to consider. Are there any pitfalls using entity framework as opposed to LINQ to SQL ? Ive read that there are performance issues with entity framework, is this true? Id really like to get an overall feel for using one method over the other, anyone have any thoughts/comments/recomendations?

I have 3 tables User, role and UserInRole THe entity frame work made entities for User and Role and I have successfully made a join with the user and role entities using user.add(role); but I can't seem to get it to remove the link (I want to retain the user and role just remove their association).
