Feb 11, 2011I'm really stuck tryign to figure this out. Converting XLS to CSV is no big deal or at least it seems that way. However, trying to go xlsx to csv seems to be more difficult. For grins, I grabbed some code that is supposed to read a sample xlsx file and convert that into a gridview called GridView1. I figure it can't be much different to turn that into CSV.

Jan 25, 2011I would like to generate an excel sheet aout of a table in asp. The exporting works fine using an in-house developed framework to export the table. The problem that I'm having is that dates are just written in columns as strings and not initialized with the proper cell format. Is there any way to format the date without any 3rd party software by just setting the value of a cell with a string??

But when I try to get table from Excel like this: "select * from [Table1]", debugger complains that database engine could not find object Table1. So how should I reference Table1 in Excel file so that the database engine could find it?

but in it doesnt read the Description data of 20 & 30 because somebody said if the first cell value is string type then all the column should be string but in mycase its coming as mixed(alpha & numeric), so that it cant read the data, i tried to convert the column as Text then also the same problem continues,
