I am currently storing empty dates in MySQL as 0000-00-00. I am then using a repeater with <%# Eval("check_in_date") %> to output the date to the page.
ASP.NET does not seem to recognise 0000-00-00 and converts it to 29/12/1899.
I would like it to be treated as empty therefore output an empty string to the page. Is there a way to do this?
When i load the excel data into dataset using datadapet.fill method, It shows empty cell value where invalid dates are present. I want to show the error of invalid date.

Now the above functionality is not working and I am getting following error.

how do I resolve this without re-installing Microsoft Office?
I used the excel sheet in my web application. It's working fine in localhost. I hosted that web page in my server. If I remove the Transaction Code from within the the application, it works OK by displaying the MYSQL data (Read Only) in the layout of the application. I am using Mysql Essential-4.1.22-win32 and MYSQL Connector ODBC-3.51.2. My objective is to EDIT the MYSQL Data.

View 5 RepliesI just moved to a new 2008 64 Bit Server. We are using MySQL, now also the 64 Bit version. Now I found out that there is a 64 Bit ODCB Driver, but not an 64 Bit Net/Connector.
Is that an issue or is the .NET Connector by default 32 and 64 Bit?

I have a web page with 5 textboxes (for branch_id, street, city, state, and zip) and a button. When data is entered in the textboxes, the button is clicked and the data is populated in the database. I have the sql INSERT statement ("insert into branch values(:branch_id,
location_type(:street, :city, :state, :zip), staff_nested())") in both the SELECT command and INSERT command. It was originally in just the SELECT command, but I also added into the INSERT command in case I need to do something in the on_insert or on_inserting event. I'm not sure if that would actually work since I click the button to enter.
Anyway, if a duplicate key is entered in branch_id the error "ORA-00001: Unique constraint violated" is raised. I would like to change this and put my own error message, such as "ID is already used, select another." What I have so far is below. I do still get the same message.
