I have been trying to get a mysql database to connect to visual studio 2008 so I can use the ASP.net administration tools. I have researched this error for two days now and have tried every suggestion I could find. I am not 100% sure where the .dll's belong but I am pretty sure they are in the correct place and incase not I have added them into a bin folder inside my web application. the only other thing I can think is that maybe my mysql and mysql connector versions dont match. I am currently using mysql version 5.1.54 and my connector version is 6.3.6.0. Also I have successfully conencted to my database in the server explorer and it has already autogenerated the necassary tables into my database. It says my error is on line 59 so here is the code associated with my line 59.

I have a textbox for date input and I used a MaskedEditExtender to set the Mask="99/99/9999": here is the code:
<asp:TextBox runat="server" ID="tbDate" Width="80px" />
<ajax:MaskedEditExtender ID="MaskedEditExtender1" runat="server" TargetControlID="tbDate" Mask="99/99/9999" MaskType="Date" />
In my code when the page loads I need to set the tbDate to readonly, then when the user enters some other info on the page I will make tbDate editable (not readonly), I did all these using javascript by setting tbDate.readOnly = true/false. However, when
going from readonly to editable, when the tbDate field receives the focus, the mask __/__/____ appears, but when the user starts typing the first digit, it pushes the mask as if the mask was part of the value, so it becomes something like 12__/__/____ instead
of 12/__/____. If I commented out the code that makes the tbDate field readonly, then the mask works as expected.

I have a calendar control nested in between an update panel tag and a content template tag. Whenever the user clicks a date on the calendar, it will display the selected date in a label above the calendar.Whenever you click on any date for the first time, this will display: Monday, January 01, 0001. But whenever you click the date again, it'll display just fine:Friday, June 18, 2010My code to display the date is in the page load event:
If IsPostBack
Then

i'm creating a cookie with an expiration of 12 hours from now. when i run my solution locally and go into C:Users..AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsTemporary Internet Files and look at the expires property of my cookie the date and time are correct. However, when I deploy this to our web server and go to the website i notice the cookie that got created for it has an expiration date of 2 years from now, minus a day. So the cookie should be set to expire on 12/29/2010 8:00 PM for example instead shows 12/28/2012 8:00 PM. Here's the code i'm using to create the cookie, pretty basic. And yes, the date on the web server is correct. I really want the cookie to expire in 12 hours, not 2 years.

I am writing C# code to read a sheet from a workbook. A couple of cells in the sheet are of Date type. However, when I check out the xml generated for the sheet, it contains numbers, for e.g. 38018 instead of 1 Feb 2005. As a result my code ends up treating this as number and I am not able to recreate a date object.

Using MySQL 5.
In my SAP.NEt project, defined a constant:
public static DateTime NullDateTime = DateTime.MinValue;
I have a function:
protected static DateTime GetDateTime(DataRow row, string columnName)
{
return (row[columnName] != DBNull.Value) ?
Convert.ToDateTime(row[columnName]) :
Globals.NullDateTime;
}
In the source code:
public DateTime StationFeedTime{ get; set; }
StationFeedTime = GetDateTime(row, "StationFeedTime");
I ran a SQL to fetch records from MySQL, this field is Time field in MySQL.
Got an exception inside the function:
Unable to cast object of type 'System.TimeSpan' to type 'System.IConvertible'.

I am working with a sql server database with about 50 stored procedures. The database and stored procedureswere not created by me. The stored procedures all begin with a number in their name.
Example: 17P_Comsetter
The problem I am having is that if I try and execute the stored procedure at the command line in Query Analyzer,the query analyzer appears not to like that the stored procedure begins with a number. For example:
If I try an run the stored procedure as follows:
EXEC 17P_Comsetter
Then I get the following error message:
Msg 102, ..... Incorrect Syntax near '17'
I am using SQL server 2005. Does anyone know why I am getting this error message?
