I have applied audit trail to my webform/table its working fine.I am able to maintain the History(action,action_date) of the MySql database table from ASP.net but I want to save user name i.e action_by too so i will have history of who changed the data and when, how can i acheive to save username in history table.i have login webform in my application. Why is this? The most strange differents is that in MySQL there is no applicationId in the membership table.

View 3 Repliesi have a master page that has a an accordion and inside the accordion is a cscading dropdownlist and then a button... Basically you select the values from the dropdowns and the click the button to change the content form from default.aspx to history.aspx. This works fine the first time I do it with the exception that cascadiing ddl all reset and then if i populate again and clcik the button again I get the following error(below)... I know I can set enableEventValidation = false, but wondered why this is occuring and what effect setting it to false would have? The second part of the question would be how do I maintain the ddl values when the page changes from default to History.sapx? I am using the following for the button.

I have a website which contains several ajax enabled pages. I need to maintain state in each page. I have added historypoints in each page. My back button works fine as far as I am on single page. But when I visit different page and then click back button to come to original page, only the last history state for that page is loaded and all other seem to get wiped out. What I mean is, clicking back button again takes me to previous page instead of loading same page again from history point. Is there any way to maintain history points even when I visit different pages

If I remove the Transaction Code from within the the application, it works OK by displaying the MYSQL data (Read Only) in the layout of the application. I wrote a class to complete data access works (unfortunately, I didnt use nhibernate or other data access tools :((
I edited the class to use System.Data.Odbc objects rather than System.Data.SqlClient.
It works fine in selecting data but not manipulating data. when i try to insert new data it adds null data for all fields in the table.
in debug mode, i noticed that it might be caused by OdbcParameter but not sure.
If I am going to use the asp.net membership and roles, the asp.net database includes an aspnet_Users table that has the userid and email address. If I have custom fields is it best practice to maintain a separate usert table and link on user id or to add fields to the aspnet_Users table?

View 5 RepliesI just moved to a new 2008 64 Bit Server. We are using MySQL, now also the 64 Bit version. Now I found out that there is a 64 Bit ODCB Driver, but not an 64 Bit Net/Connector.
Is that an issue or is the .NET Connector by default 32 and 64 Bit?
