I am developing a webpage where a timer should be displayed in a popup at bottom of the page. This popup should not be scrolled when i scroll the page. This is like showing the user "Time left" during the navigation of the page. And this popup should be closed if the time expires.
I have an issue that may be tied to layering of ajax controls. On my page I have a Modal Popup that displays and has multiple input fields on it.One of which is a dropdown list that shows one of two sections OnSelectedIndexChanged. One section has a button that calls another Modal Popup with inputs.
When I cancel/close the 2nd Modal Popup and change the value of the dropdown list the Popup's panel displays at the bottom of the page.I have tired hiding the panel, calling the mpe.hide(); etc but cannot get this panel to stop displaying.
We implemented Modal Popup in Sharepoint 2007 as a part of one of the User controls. Issue that I am facing is on IE7 the popup appear on botton left hand side of the browser screen. Popup itself is grayed. It works fine in IE 6 i.e. popup is center positioned and enabled Does any body know if this is a known issue with IE 7 and how to rectify this issue? below is the ASCX code for the user control
On a fairly complex page, we're getting some unusual behavior with dropdownlists in IE6. To layout the basic structure, there are 2 update panels on the page each with a gridview presenting a master-details layout. In addition to the grid, each panel houses some dropdownlists for filtering the data in the respective gridview.
Now what's happening is that a button on the bottom grid will cause a modal popup form to display, where some details about the row item can be modified. As per the ASP.NET AJAX javascript, the dropdowns disable during the postback, and re-enable after it closes. The bottom grid also has a timer attached to it that periodically updates it to keep the view of the data fresh. When this timer ticks after the modal popup is closed, the drop down lists mysteriously vanish, except for the ones in that update panel which apparently get rendered again.
Oddly enough, if the timer ticks while the popup is up, the drop downs enable early and show through the modal (oh IE6...) but don't vanish later on.
I am using an updatepanel and a grid is placed within the same. Now,I have a checkbox corresponding to each row of the grid.If I check it,say corresponding to one row and click a button(placed outside the panel), a popup will be opened which is a separate aspx page having its own functionality.
The requirement is like I need only the panel to refresh not the whole page.
I used below code for show Welcome message in my first page of site index.aspx
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string message = "Welcome to Our site."; System.Text.StringBuilder sb = new System.Text.StringBuilder(); sb.Append("<script type = 'text/javascript'>"); sb.Append("window.onload=function(){");
[code]....
I want when users come to site when it show index.aspx at first time it show popup menu that i define some control on it like TextBox,button,... and when users click on button, it go to index.aspx/

I am maintaining a website that has .Aspx web pages with no code behind C# files. This has been a challenge for me, because I need to do the following:
1.) When the page first loads, display a Java Script popup message box.
So how can I do this if I don not have a code behind C# file where I can check for isPostback in the on page load method? Can the on page load method be placed inline in the .aspx code? Anyway I need to figure out how to answer my question 1 above.
I have a page that I am adding user controls to the bottom of the controls each postback. The User Control has a textbox in it and the focus needs to be on this newly created control textbox each time. It all works almost perfectly however when there are too many controls to fit on the page, because I set the focus to the textbox the bottom of the page is set to the textbox that has focus not the very bottom of the page. I have a submit button below this which ends up below the page limit. How can I set focus to a textbox but still scroll to the every bottom of the page to show the submit button.
I have a grid view where the user can change pages at either the top or the bottom of the grid view. I want the view to go back to the top whenever a user changes the page, whether they are changing from the top or the bottom. I've tried using anchors and javascript to achieve this but it does not work. The javascript is executed and the user is taken to the top of the gridview, this can be seen by placing an alert after the javascript to change the view. But the last thing that happens on the page change is that the window is returned to it's previous position (the bottom of the page). Is there any way of doing this?
I have a gridview control in my page to which user can add rows dynamically and to do this I have provided a link button . But mu problem here is whenever I click on this link button (which is outside grid) grid is going to the bottom of the page(grid is inside a panel for adjusting the height).
I got a problem with an Ajax form in MVC2 (VS 2010).Well I got an Index.aspx that has a Ajax.BeginForm, with a textbox and a input button (Button 1). The HttpPost of this simple form, will be handled by an action of my controller. This action will render a PartialView. The PartialView has a table that I fill with a ViewModel. Also it has another Ajax.BeginForm and another input button (Button 2). This new Ajax.BeginForm is handled by an action that has to do something with the data posted.
Here's the thing: I click the Button 1, fill the table and everything is going well, but after that when I click everywhere in the page, the Button 2 change it's position to the bottom of the page and get the focus ... I don't know why ...
I am a newbie and have designed a website using ASP .Net 2.0 with C# 2005. On the home page I am displaying rates of a few items which gets updated every 15 minutes. The new rates are entered through a different web page into a SQL Table and I am using Page Refresh of the home page to update the rates every 15 minutes. Everything is working ok upto this. But now I have to display a countdown timer of time remaining for the next update on the home page. I am totally clueless as how to approach the problem.
I am querying the SQL database table and returning the result on the webform with a repeater, but I need to display one record at a time and refresh with an update panel and timer to iterate through the rows of the table one at a time at a fixed interval.
Is there another solution to be able to display one record at a time using c# in the webform, but then cycke through the other records one at a time using a timer control and updatepanel?
What are the latest and greatest ways to move ViewState to bottom of the page Can this be done in a IHttpHandler that can be specified in the web.config to intercept requests to "*.aspx"?
Other options is that this could be done in a IHttpModule, but that is not as performant, as it will intercept all requests. Also it could be done in an a class deriving from the Page or MasterPage-class, but this is not as modular. Are there any performance penalties to this?
i am using the example from http://www.dotnetspider.com/resources/701-Export-Data-CSV-Excel.aspx
this is working fine exporting the data, the problem is its also writing the html of the page to the bottom of the csv. i have stepped through the code to try and catch where this is happening but cant find it.
VS2010 ( Vb.net ).I have a masterpage that contains a gridview, giving stats and information on client files sent to us. This gridview is updated by means of a timer control every 10 seconds. In my grid I have an image field, to display either a tick .. if everything is ok or a cross for any problems. When the timer control timer event forces a gridview databind every 10 seconds. When the page first loads, i get the default red Cross in the gridview imagefield, however when the timer loops forces a 'databind' I lose the redCross and it is replaced with the default image control ( as if no url is set ) . Then I get a server 404 error.I am using the OnDataBound event to fire my vb sub. I have commented out evertything just to get a solid starting point but im still getting errors.
