Web Forms :: Aspx Page Has No Code Being On First Loads - Display Java Script Popup
Mar 21, 2010
I am maintaining a website that has .Aspx web pages with no code behind C# files. This has been a challenge for me, because I need to do the following:
1.) When the page first loads, display a Java Script popup message box.
So how can I do this if I don not have a code behind C# file where I can check for isPostback in the on page load method? Can the on page load method be placed inline in the .aspx code? Anyway I need to figure out how to answer my question 1 above.
but want to change this so it loads in my aspx.cs page so I can wrap it in an id (!IsPostBack) statement to stop the value getting set back to Top banner when the page is refreshed
i have to give the user the option to upload his own aspx and aspx.cs files on to the server, adjust the hyperlink to point to a page which would do the following display the aspx and aspx.cs files code onto the page without actually rendering the code the browser should not understand anything, and while reading the files to display them the method be such that nothing is processed on the server regarding the code within the files to prevent from unnecessary problems many user would try to cause.
i have tried many ways of displaying it but it ends up on displaying the actual comments instead of the code. how to achieve the above. note main concentration is on asp.net and c# using vs08, so j script and ready-made tools be avoided if feasible
I jast wants to access the ImageUrl value inside the Javascript's function OpenPopup() to open a new window to This URL. All Codes are residing in Same Page.
we have an app built in Java and they use a button onclick of it will re-direct to IIS (to our screen)...what kind of authentication should I need to make sure whether user is coming from that Java screen...
I'm decommissioning a meeting room scheduling [web] tool in favor of the same Outlook's functionality.I'd like, however, to publish (read-only) a "Group Schedule" view in a web page.
To make the idea more clear:
On Outlook's Calendar view, select Actions / View Group Schedules and then create a new group for say, Conference Rooms. This new view will give a global view of Conference Rooms occupancy. I need a way to publish this room's occupancy.
Is it possible to create a popup window using an Aspx page and Java Script? I thought I saw this done once, but I don't recall how it was done. Here is really what I want to accomplish
So here is the pseudo code of what I would like to do.
1. Have an Aspx web page named default.aspx with a button on the web page named "Press Me"
2. Have an Aspx web page named popup.aspx that is 1/4 the size of the web page in step 1 and has a texbox control named txtPersonsName. And a submit button.
3. When the button on default.aspx is pressed, the web form in step 2 popup.aspx is displayed giving the impression of a popup window. A person enters their name on popup.aspx and then presses the submit button. The popup closes and the code behind of default.aspx captures the name entered in popup.aspx
Thougths: I think popup.aspx can be displayed using Java Script from the code behind of default.aspx. Or from within default.aspx.
In a page there is an activex control as well as a button whose onclick opens an ajax modal popup. The problem i face is that whenever the button is clicked the ajax pop up loads behind the activex control and thus it is hidden. So I am not able to use that control at all. I have not found a proper solution to this. I tried a solution where a browser check condition was removed from the ajaxtoolkit code. but no luck. Am using Ajax toolkit version 3.0.30512.1.
But it doesn't work. I can't even manually navigate to this page. Opening new window work but it opens the same page in that new window. So, how to display content from SomePage.aspx in this new window?
I want to display a page (in some cases) without displaying the contents of that page's master page. This is for AJAX related purposes. How can I do that?
I am trying to open aspx page in jquery modal popup. Its opening fine, but if i am firing any event of that page(page which is inside modal popup) i am getting javascript error:
Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'theForm.elements.length' is null or not an object
I am streaming HTML content into a Literal control in an ASPX page, and am continually running into a problem where the page loads fine the first time I try it, then subsequent attempts fail to load.
The purpose of the aspx page is to act as a 'broker' to another process that produces streamed HTML output, which then needs to be resolved by the browser.
The reason I'm not just using HtmlTextWriter to stream out the code to the Response object is that the streamed HTML contains framesets, and I am forbidden from modifying that code in any way, so I must keep the streamed code intact. In spite of the fact that frameset HTML hardcoded into the ASPX file would work, it does NOT resolve streamed frameset code!
In any case, streaming into the literal (by creating a string that is assigned to the Literal's Text property) works just fine -- the FIRST time I load that page. If I exit the page, then try to reinstantiate, it FAILS, producing an empty HTML file (containing only "<HTML></HTML>").
I am having an aspx page which displays the map. When i click on a button on the aspx page, modal popup extender will be displayed. This popup window is having some textboxes .
My requirement is , the graph displayed in the aspx page should change based on the values entering in the textboxes in the popup extender.
Is it possible to keep the aspx page enable even though the popup extender is displayed?
Is it possible to change and display the aspx page values(map like google map) based on the values in the popextender?
