Forms Data Controls :: Accessing Repeater Item On Button Click?
Jan 22, 2010
I've adde a WebUserControl inside Repeater control. My WebUserControl consists of basically three controls: a CheckBox, a HyperLink, and some Label control. Plz have a look:
[Code]....
I've some Buttons outside the Repeater control. Now I want to select individual row through CheckBox and process it on Button (outside Repeater) Click.
i'm using a repeater with an hyperlink and i'm displaying some data from a table x and when the link is clicked i want to add some from the displayed data in another table y..I used a datasource for selecting information , should i use another datasource for the insert command or what to do ..
Is there a way to access the updated text property of a TextBox which is inside a GridView cell when a Wizard controls next or previous buttons are clicked? I have a requirement to not use the edit and/or update buttons on the GridView row. Therefore, I am trying to figure out a way of grabbing the updated values of each TextBox of the GridView on the PostBack. Furthermore, these controls (i.e. Wizard and GridView) are within an AJAX UserControl.
Using a listview control for the first time... I need a button for each item, and of course I need to handle the click event for the buttons... upon clicking a particular button I of course need to know which item the button is associated with so the appropriate action can be taken...
In VS, I can't select the button and see my list of available events in the properties window like is normally done for controls outside of templates like this... what do I need to do?
I have a link button in my gridview. It is populating correctly; however, being I am populating the values in the gridview using "Eval()" method I don't know how to get the value of the selected Link Button (which is only selected by a user actually clicking the Link Button).
The user can click on the text directly (instead of showing the "Select" auto created). I want to be able to capture the item they have clicked on's Text property.
Example:Column 1
Value1 Value2 Value3
When the click on "Value2" I want the text property to be stored in a string variable (In this case the text would be "Value2"). In the past I have captured this through GridView.SelectedValue; however, I am not using autopopulate selected button so I need to do this manually and I am unsure as to how I will do this.
Here is my code for HTML and I have not created any code for C# (I want to capture the item using C# in my Grd_Tables_SelectedIndexChanged Event) [code]....
I have a ListView with Checkbox in ItemTemplate. My requirement is to get all data of selected Checkbox of a row. For this I am using a Button Click which will check the selected checkbox of ListView and then it will get all the data of selected of that checkbox.
on my default.aspx page, i have one dropdownlist (which has book types as values e.g. small books, medium books etc.). Then one textbox. And one button named 'Search'. On button click the datagrid shows result by filtering table data with book type and search string that user enter in textbox.
So on 'Search' button click, i want to load the same page with result but with query string like 'Default.aspx?booktype=small' (using response.redirect) if user selects small in dropdown list. The problem is when i click 'Search' button and the page gets loaded again I cannot access dropdownlist values and search string that user has entered. It takes null only when I use,
To change particular value in a dropdownlist dynamicallyfor exampleif i have a value as Apple in dropdownlisti should chk if that particular values is present or not then dispaly it as "redfruit"
on my program, i have count button on below listview, when user click that button, system will auto count salary + extra_salary and updated into total_salary...
I have One DataList in their three columns ID, FirstName and LastName, when I select ID then I want to access the value of ID how to get the value of selected ID.
I have a datalist control which uses repeatcolunm. I want to make Datalist items clickable and get the clicked item value into a textbox outside the datalist. I did this and it works only when I set "RepeatLayout="flow"" which cancels the "repeatcolunm" which is very necessary in my case. Below is code:
Here when i click on button it insert all data into table but it didn't insert my selected item from dropdownlist it insert select city that i define in page_load
DDL1.Items.Insert(0, new ListItem("select city", "0"));
And when i delete this code from page load it insert in table first row of my table it didn't insert my selected item from dropdown list.
In the above structure room information has been loaded now when I click on book now then I want to access the roomid room price to send it next panel.
I just want to know that how it is possible to access other values using jquery...
what changed do I need to make to my code for it to achieve what I'm after.
At the moment I am getting a "cannot cast to type" error message with the below code.
I have also tried calling the ItemDataBound method in with the parent repeater tags and had no errors but when I clicked on the button it would just move back to the top of the page and would not hide or show any data. Also I have made the div style to none but the first record still shows its child but the rest don't.
I want to Bind data to a Repeater on click of a particular Button. I can do an ajax request via jQuery and call the method to bind the data, but on the page nothing is displayed. This is the method I use to bind the data to the Repeater:
public void BindJobs() { if (RptClientDetails.Items.Count != 0) return; RptClientDetails.DataSource = new JobBusiness().GetJobInfoClient(ClientId); RptClientDetails.DataBind(); Response.Write("myresponse"); Response.End(); }
The above method is successfully called and the data retrieved by GetJobInfoClient. This is my ajax call:
function BindJobs() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "Client/Default.aspx?action=bindJobs", data: "{}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { // Do something interesting here. } }); }
