For example , when my mouse over certain row of bound column in datagrid , it will change the colour to blue . Also , I can click it and redirect to the detail page .

So if there is no Data incoming to the DataLabel then I want both labels to be invisible.
I have a foreign key (TeamID) in a GridView. I use a TemplateField to display it as the lookup value (TeamName) in a label, and a dropdown for editing. When row is selected and SelectedIndexChanged is fired, I want to access the TeamID. I can get the TeamName from the label. I tried putting the TeamID in DataKeyNames, but that fouled up my dropdown when saving (it reverts to the original value). So, how can I get the TeamID?

I am having trouble with displaying double data in gridview bound coulumn. I want it to display as it is... But it gets rounded off when displayed.
Like my 1.34 displays 1.00
1.57 - 2.00
and so on. But i want it to display as it is i mean with decimal points, without rounding it off.
This should be simple but I am baffled. I have a perfectly functioning DataGrid that I can click its "Select" link to select any one of its rows. When I do, the row highlights itself in red as expected. So far, so good.I also have an independent Label on the same page and I want to update its Text value to a cell value from the DataGrid when I select a specific row.OTH the DataGrid (named GridView1) and the Label (named Label2) are within an UpdatePanel.PROBLEM: When I select a row from the DataGrid, the Label is not updated with the cell's contents. Below is the code behind for a simple aspx page. The web form contains one GridView (GridView1) and one label (Label1). I create a Data Table, then add a row to the table. I then DataBind my GridView to the DataTable. (so far so good) When I run the page I do see the GridView and the single row of data. However the checkbox shown is not enabled, meaning the user cannot uncheck or check it. (As if was not enabled)

In the rowdatabound event I look at a value in a cell and use a function to evaluate the value and depending on that value I populate an added unbound column in my bound datagrid to show an excalmation point. I now want to sort by the column with the excalmation point.

I have a grid that is built as well as populated dynamically through c# code. The grid has 3 columns(3 bound fields). And data is being populated in those bound fields through c# code programatically.
Elaborating my question: I have 3 bound field columns(col1, col2 & col3) . I have to increase the rowspan of col2 and col3 headertext's to 2 i.e I want the col2 and col3 header texts to span across two row cells. But the col1 header text should span across just 1 row. And the extra rowscell that is created under col1 due to the increase in the rowspans (of col2 and col3 boundfield headertexts) should be populated with some random text, i.e something like XXXXX
