A Datalist result area is coming up with a white backround. I am placing it in a box with a background image so it really needs to be transparent, not white. I have tried to adjust this in the properties of the datalist as weel as my CSS but I seem to be missing the one place I need to adjust.

i have div control.... inside i am having datalist control .but i want to make all datalist items with same size and spacing between items should be the same. whatever width of the div tag .but no. of items should be adjusted in that area i have repeatcolumns =3 but it could be any no. so it should get adjusted. i have list of images to be display in datalist.

I have a datalist with items for sale including an image for each item. I want to make another datalist with items that have been sold, but I want to display a part-transparent 'sold' sign across the corner of the image.
They only way I can think of is to display the item image as a background? With the sold image on top?
Any clue as to how to bring back an image from a database and display it as a background image? I haven't yet figured this out.
i have a gridview bound to sql datasource with template fields binding the columns. I have set the Header Style to a css class. I have 3 columns not bound to data as Add, Edit and Delete. When I set the text color to white for the header only the non bound columns go white. The bound columns are BLUE like hyperlink. Any one know a way round this. (If I set the style in the gridview the all columns are white. Want to set in external css file).

When the user visit Product Page for Example (productpage.aspx), then he see the two DropDownList , then choose one of Cataloge Name (Laptop , Printer, ....) , and choose one of the Brand Name (Sony, Toshiba, ....) , then Click the Button, and get the Result Search in Paging DataList
Is it possible to change back ground image of a datalist at run time??

What I can't seem to find a solution to is the white background on the DynamicMenu parts of a Menu control. Setting the background color to transparent or not setting it all doesn't seem to have any effect. This is only a problem in IE8, Firefox 3.6.8 renders the dynamic menus without the white background.
After item databound I've one or more button inside a datalist. How can I format the clicked button with different border style from the unclicked buttons?

I am having problems with rendering differences between a gridview control and a local report .rdlc rendering. The dataset shows different spacing between characters in the dataset visualizer than it does in the gridview. The sql reporting services report is more closely rendering what is shown in the visualizer. The dataset is filled From a DAL and then bound to the gridview and reporting service at runtime. I'm currently using VS2008 and programming in VB.

Am building a Form for out intranet that runs on ASP.NET and C#, it is to be a survey from a SQL database. I have the connections setup can pull informations/Questions from the database. I am having a problem with setting up radio buttons within a datalist, ive never done this and i know they require unque names.
It is to be 4 radio buttons per question where only one can be select, i know how to group just not via a datalist with unique names

I am trying to place a datalist inside datalist. I managed to place a datalist inside gridview but not datalist inside datalist.

i have a datalist . that is contains 7 columns in repeat layout .when i have more from 7 columns , datalist style is normal .but when i have smaller than 7 columns ! data list style is not normal,
because there are some empty columns without specific schema.
How i can make a datalist > when i have 1 columns in my datalist my first layout width be 100% ;
