Forms Data Controls :: Can Table Cell Have Two Colors - Half White And Half Red
May 4, 2010
I am showing full year calendar in asp.net table and showing colors in table cell according to absence type. I want to show half blue and half white color in one cell if staff has taken half day off.
One of my apps is to document aircraft inspection at mil sites. The discrepancy report for any one tail number can be many pages long. The description of the discrepancy in a gridview cell can be several lines. Therefore when the gridview hits the bottom of the physical page, the print spooler frequently splits the gridview row leaving part on one page and the rest at the top of the following page. I have done my due-diligence in research before posting but maybe I'm using the wrong words. I found something on CodeProject but it is too complicated for me. Does anyone have a simple solution? I use C# and am not very sharp with Java script.
I am creating "Pizza Order Application" and I need to print the order receipt. Here is the Home pae looks like
Following is the partial page of my application. Wnen the user clicks "Print" I want to print
<asp:ListBox> <table> <tr> <td>"Here I have all the link buttons like pizza, drink,etc"</td> <td><asp:ListBox>"This section has actual order, displaying the items that the current order has"</asp:ListBox></td> <td><asp:Button>Print</asp:Button></td> </tr> </table>
yes i know half post ack occurs but it does occur right?so why doesnt the dropdownlist get refreshed when the timer ticks on?. for alternative i tried manually clicking a button to create postback but still no refresh of connection of th list
I try to replace a html image link button with asp imagebutton. Initially it should display the upper half of src image for hovering effect. While using <a hef="link1"><img src="image1"></a> is perfectly fine, using <asp:ImageButton runat="server"
ImageUrl="image1" PostBackUrl="link1" /> displays the entire image (scaled). So how to display image's upper half in asp imagebutton?
well actually i dont know really if this is MVC or not but I run this on MVC so i would run it here.I got a HUGE .js file , which run smoothly on Firefox , but internet explorer read like half of him (he makes some actions , some not)
also he doenst run alert("bla"); when i put it on him.other then that, when i copy and past the code to the head of the asp.net mvc view , it runs smoothly
here is my import from the head <script src="Scripts/AppScripts/TestsAdministrator.js" type="text/javascript"></script> (also tried to do this with resolveURL);
and here is the function which some part of it doenst work (i wont type all the code unless you really want)
//Ajax - Drop down list event $("#TestList").change(function () { [code]....
I'm trying to get the jQuery gallerific plugin working at http://justrecip.es/ViewRecipes.aspx?recipeid=S9ML32WQO3&act=view . The gallery is loaded correctly, but neither the thumb grid nor the navigation (next/previous image) buttons work. There are no script errors, but it seems this is a JavaScript problem of some sort.
The client side validation will work sometimes, and other times it will put out a JS error.Webpage error details

I have a textbox sitting at the bottom of a collapsible panel which has a RequiredFieldValidator sitting underneath that. If a user tries to submit the form without filling in this textbox then the RequiredFieldValidator generates a little "Required" box beneath the textbox. The trouble is that the panel doesn't resize propely and only the top of the validation warning box is visible so the message isn't legible.
I tried adding some margin-bottom to the div that contains the textbox and validator to ensure the space was already there but the moment the validation box appears the collapsible panel automatically resizes so the bottom of the panel meets the bottom of the textbox, ignoring the prior margin. Apart from moving the validation box, does anyone know how I can get the collapsible panel to resize correctly?
i added autocomplete extender its working fine but the suggestion list half bottom is not showing because its exceed the length of the div containing textbox
I have any opportunity to change the colors of GridView cells due to it's value. I have an SQLDataSource with different int values, and want minus number to have blue background and plus number - red.
I am using AJAX Rating Control.I want half star rating.For Example,If My AVG Rating Count is 3 Then My Stars Wants to be show 3If My AVG Rating Count is 2.5 Then My Stars Wants to be Show 2 1/2 mark i.e., two & half stars.But,it was not showing then also it is showing 3 stars.
i have a gridview bound to sql datasource with template fields binding the columns. I have set the Header Style to a css class. I have 3 columns not bound to data as Add, Edit and Delete. When I set the text color to white for the header only the non bound columns go white. The bound columns are BLUE like hyperlink. Any one know a way round this. (If I set the style in the gridview the all columns are white. Want to set in external css file).
I have an aspx page with a div containing an asp:Table with 1 row, 1 cell. From the codebehind, I read a user supplied text file and add rows/cells (vb). I would like my output to have indented text in certain rows. Example follows:
I have a dynamic Gridview that I build on the fly. It works great. Now, I want to put paging on it. I have put the following code as an event on Pageindexchanging. When I do, the system tells me that the BindGridControl is not declared. The other lines have no error on them. What am I doing wrong? The name of the Datagrid is MyGridview. If I comment out the BindGridControl the system does not get an error but it of course does not show the second page when I click on it.
[Code]....
I did it with DIV tags rather than trying dynamic page building
A DropDownList is put in a GridView's TemplateField. Its corresponding table cell at runtime shows three controls (verified by checking gv.Rows[iSelected].Cells[iColumn].Controls). The three controls are: 1. Literal; 2. DropDownList; 3. Literal. It is not the case for other controls, at least not for TextBox which I usually access by something like gv.Rows[iSelected].Cells[iColumn].Controls[0]. This is not a big problem because I can always access it by its static ClientID, but I am curious why so and whether other controls have the behavior.
To start with - I'm using VS 2008/.NET 3.5 and working in a company-provided template that leaves me restricted to some/many settings that go beyond the body of the page itself. That said, I need to create a page that will display data from individual cells in a database table that, when lined up would look like a normal sentence. Based on certain criteria I would have certain sections of the sentences hide (ex. if it contains a key phrase or if it's empty).
I've seen a method in which Labels could be used to achieve this effect, where I would assign it the grid coordinates of the cell in a table, but I could never get it to work. I've been successfully connected to the table (LINQDataSource) but still have a blank canvas without this fundamental display technique as that will be all that's in it.
I have a grid view populated with some data included bit fields and I made an export to excel function For each row i need to check the cell with the bit value to change the cell color, but the cell is always empty, even if is the field is set to False or True. foreach (GridViewRow row in gv.Rows)
