I have a DataGrid that is populated with data from a DataTable.DataView. The data in the DataTable is created on the fly based upon the criteria returned from LINQ to SQL DataClass.When the Datarid is populated with data it shows the correct data, but the columns are too wide and there is no TextWrapping enabled.I do not know before the DataGrid has its ItemSource property bound to the DataTable how many columns of data will be but I need to set the property of any cells carrying text to have the wrap property enabled.

I would like the selectedvalue of the dropdown to display additional data base on its selection in multiple text boxes.
I have tried using the DropDownList OnSelectedIndexChanged property, within a DataGrid EditiItemTemplate, but I cannot retrieve data from the selection. (AutoPostBack is "True"). I can however use a button onclick event to fire a "prre-defined" selection value.

what is the difference, both works: DataGridTemplateColumn versus DataGridTextColumn both works means I can edit+display rich text in the cell.

I'm trying to enable/disable buttons in my gridview according to a value in gridview's field.
But everytime when I try to run my page, it shows me below underlined error and point to my gvTimeSheet.DataBind() in page_load.
"Unable to cast object of type 'System.EventArgs' to type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewRowEventArgs'."
I also tried to enable / disable button in HTML but it just against from what I need it to be.
Example, sheet_status = true, I do not need to enable the button.

I need to search the Text in a particular column only, so I use the gridviewrow property and searched which item template contains the Text. But, it works in the First page index of the GridView not in the Next and others, How can I Enable the Search Up-to the Last page index and the Last row of the GridView.

I have a gridview that is built based on my objectdatasource.. so at the moment, i have 1 gridview linked to 3 different objectdatasource resultsets.. my question is.. only 1 of the 3 do i want to allow or should i say enable the "GridView1_SelectedIndexChanged" ability. I'm trying to create a list of items with a listview (ASP.NET VB) and would like to allow a user to use 1 of 2 checkboxes (or radio buttons), to allow them to mark that record as "approve" or "delete", then once they've made all of their selections, they press a button at the bottom to action each of their requests.
So they might select 10 records to delete and 5 to approve, but I want them to run all at the same time, rather than making them edit a field for them all 1 by 1.
I'm also having a bit of trouble identifying a particular record in my codebehind, is the only way to do it through listview1.items then get the index of it, and compare it to the same sql query somehow?

Im pretty new to ASP.net but am getting there slowly but surely! Its definitely growing on me.
The problem im looking at at the moment is i have a gridview displaying data from my SQL database, which works fine. I have enabled the selection option on the gridview which has placed a select link next to each row. Perfect.
What I am looking to do is be able to click the select button, and have the details from each column on that row go into variables when the page is posted back. I will then write these back to a different table in the database later on.
I see that when i click the link it is posting back the number of the row i have selected, but how do i use this to get the data from each column out of the gridview?

After builder this query, I click advanced button. However, generate insert, update, and delete Statements is not enabled.
