I have a gridview with paging enabled.How can i get the entire checked checkbox values s that i can save it into to a Table.Ie, if i havetwo checkbox checked in page1,three in page Two and two in page three etc.etc. i should get the entire values of a checkbox in a variable so that i can save it into a Table.

I have added a checkbox infront of every customer so i can select what customers gone be used and passed to the next method. Note: If a constant value is passed at design time it works fine. But i want to assign the value at runtime using Bind.
Environment details: VS 2008, ASP.NET 2.0 and .Net Framework 3.0 & C# language.
I tried returning values like 0s and 1s, Ys and Ns and True and False from a database field. But i still get the above mentioned error.
I tried retreving the value in OnRowDataBound event using Eval, since Bind is not available in code behind. But it would make the field readonly and i cannot edit and update the Results field.
Even though there is a value returned by the query why does the Checkbox does not assign the value using <%# Bind("Results") %> to Checked property instead throws error - Specified cast is invalid.

I'm working on the admin tool and am using DetailsView to edit the records (.net 2.0). In the screenshot below, the left is the GridView, and the right is the DetailsView. When a user clicks "Select" in the GridView, I am trying to display the assigned Sectors stored in the database via a checkboxlist (activities can have multiple sectors). This way, the Admin user could just uncheck/check what sectors they want to change. Unfortunately, I can only get the first sector that's stored database to show up.
Is it possible for the Checkboxlist control to allow for more than one box to be checked at the same time? If so, do I need to create a custom funcion (via looping) in order to populate the checkboxlist accordingly? I've ran into 3 articles so far that imply that, but can't get the For Each to work for my situation:

I have a gridview that returns several records for the same user and each record has a column with a check box. I need to allow the user to choose only one to check. Also one check box is always supposed to be checked. What is the best way to do it? I was thinking of writing a stored procedure that checks if only one is checked, and then returns true or false. Problem I am facing: When I check/uncheck the checkbox in header, it postbacks. so in OnCheckedChanged event, gridview's datasource is null. Secondly, in any event of gridview, I could access only those rows of datasource for which corresponding rows are visible in gridview through Gridviewrow.DataItem property. i need to design an application in asp.net using gridview custom control. the gridview will show hundreds of records using paging with checkboxes in every row.
if the user checks 3 rows in first page of gridview which is showing 9 rows, those 3 rows should appear on top in the next gridview page and the page should display only 6 new records. ie 6+3=9
similarly if user checks 2 more rows, the next page should show 3+2 rows(from first 2 pages) on top and only 4 new rows ( 3+2+4=9)

I a using Gridview bind to a dataset. For this example, I am only setting up two columns.
1. Edit button
2. A template field that will display "No" and in Edit mode will show a checkbox.
When I run this code... the page is displayed... I click on the edit button... the row changes to edit mode and I CLICK the checkbox (can see a it checked).Then click on "Update" Button... which takes me to GridView1_RowUpdating event. I have problems with GridView control which has template field with checkbox in it. My primary concern is that same code works for all the other GridView controls I have in different webforms, but not in this one.
This code is supposed to get the identities (ID column in GridView) and then get the values of first two selected and finally redirect them to another webform as querystrings. I double checked the GridView and they are identical (except they are binded to different datasource).
