I'm trying to set up two hyperlinks on a page (Previous and next) to navigate through datatable rows, but I dont want the link to show if it the first and last row - I know I can hid the hyperlink and such but I just need to know (in VB.Net) how you would get the row id of the page you were on so that you can go backwards and forwards.

I am trying to get the index of the DataItem from the DataTable and insert that into the repeater. I tried this solution: [URL] but that does not give me what I want. that solution only gives me the location of the item within the Repeater, but I want the location of the item within its source DataTable. The reason for this is because I want to number my search results, and if I use the above solution then the numbers reset on pagination.

I want to do Get index of Grid in Asp.net C#. i have allow the paging = true and set the Page size = 10.In the Page 1st i Get the correct index of Row i find index usingint indexx = Convert.ToInt32(e.CommandArgument);

i have a situation, like this, there is a one data grid, which is empty, in that we can add the values, in that grid was paging enabled, so after the 10 record, remaining values ll be in the next page of the grid, so if i want to view that value, i should be use the paging option, here i m getting proble, becz, here i have use the code

When a user clicks "Add", I am creating a new row in the underlying datasource and refreshing the datatable so that it includes the new row and displaying the listview. My requirement is to "select" the newly added row after listview is refreshed. View 2 RepliesI have a GridView with drop down boxes that are always in edit mode, and what I want to do is when the user sets a value in one of the drop downs I want to set the value in all of the drop downs BELOW that one (if they are not currently set) to the same value. However, the RowEditing and RowUpdating events never fire because techncially I'm not editing or updating the row.

I am using SqlDataSource to populate <asp:ListBox>.
Sql Select query returns all the Unique city names. Then <asp:Listbox> is populated. Populated listbox looks like
Houston
Dallas
Austin
...
...
But I want to add "Choose City" at index 0 so the listbox look like

Houston
Dallas
Austin
I am not allowed to modify select query (otherwise I would have used the UNION in select query)

I am getting error Specified index out of range of valid values. Parameter name index. I tried to put a breakpoint and see where am I getting the error. I have 5 columns (1 hidden). first 3 columns- no issue. But when the control reaches the 4th column it throws the error. I saw that I am getting correct values for the first 3..no ide what is going wrong with the 4th one.
