Forms Data Controls :: GridView Showing Dates Using Calendar Control?

I am using C# ASP .NET 2.0. On my web form I have a GridView and a Calendar control and I want to do the following:
With the Calendar control, I only want to show the current month, and links for the previous month and next month. Not the actual days of the month.
I want the days in the Calendar control to populate my left-most column of my GridView. For example, if March was the current month then I should see 31 rows in my GridView starting with 03/01/2010 in the first row and 03/31/2010 in the last row.
When you click the previous month or next month link I need the GridView to change for the selected month.

I'm trying to create a calendar control that is linked to a SQL database.
The meaning is to create an event calendar were the user can put in his info at a reservation page.
After filling everything in, the info is stored in a table on the database, the users must give in a start date of there reservation and an end date.
Now, I got everything to work so far, the calendar reads everything from the database, show it on the calendar and stuff... But only the first day.
I now what code to use for showing the first date, but I have no idea how to show the end date and all the days between.
Also the meaning is that when a person puts in a reservation, the background of the cell turns orange for "pending status", when the owner of the building agrees the color turns red for "reserved - not available"

I have a calender control tht you can click on. When you click on a date you see all the events that happens that date. But i want the calender to show what dates have events. I want these dates to have a seperate styling. In the code behind i catch the DayRender event. I have a list will all important dates called "eventDates".

May i add the Dates from Database to calendar Control using the SelectedDate() method
because if iam using the SelectedDates() then if there is only one record come from database then nothing is displaying inside gridview and if there is more then one dates come from database then it is working suggest me the way to deal it .

I have a calendar that can have multiple dates non sequentially selected. I have a gridview on the page with a sqldatasource control bound to it.
Again, I have already built the events calendar with the ability to select multiple dates... now I just want to show those detailed records below the calendar for only the dates selected.
How do I filter the records to only get the records of the SelectedDates of the Calendar control.
This has to be done dynamically in the code behind.

I need some pointers to start on this.We are building a time off application where three instances of a calendar control will be displayed ( prev - current and next month) now users can click on various dates accross all three instances and then a count of number of days should be diaplyed in the parent textbox.
To begin with this, i started with adding the dates clicked by the user in Calendar2_SelectionChanged method into a list<> so that i can get the all dates user clicked and then add it to calander's selected dates collection. But this throws an e" object reference not set" error.
Is there anyother way to get all the dates that user click onthe calendar( note the dates doesn't get highlighed so seleteddates doesnt work)does anyone has a good example for this.

I have a gridview that has 20 columns in it. 3 of them are date fields. I am using templatefields but not edittemplates, only itemtemplates because the users want to update multiple rows and then update the data all at once. I have a panel with an update panel and a calendar on it and in the grid I have a popup extendar added to the textbox in the cell to make the calendar show but I can't get the value from the popup calendar back to the cell. Does anybody have an example or is there a better way to do this?

When a user selects an item from dropdownlist ,, certain dates (from DB) gets selected on Calendar automatically with the color pink >> This is working FINE The problem happens after that, when i want to select any other date >> the dates which were selected automatically before (that came from DB) get deselected !! I want them to stay selected, so i know which are the dates that already saved in DB ! So, the calendar is removing the programmed selected dates upon selecting a new date on the calendar object.

I have a calendar control that will have events displayed within each cell.
I want to use a pre formatted gridview and simply bind the gridview with a dataset dynamically and display it within the cell of the specified day.
Is there a way to do that or do I have to dynamically build a gridview for every day that there is an event?

i was working on calendar but i noticed both of the calendat are different Ajax and Windows,my problem is here i want to control my dates in AJAX Calendar Extendar
Calendar 1 Functionality should be-
Dates <Today(12/June/2010) then it should Disable(including previous Date month ,year )
Calendar 2 Functionality Should be-
should display only the dates which is being selected in calendar 1 i.e
if 13-june-2010 is selected in calendar 1 then
calendar 2 should display dates from 13-june-2010 onwards and rest of the previous dates should be disable

Acutally i have added a GridView on my webform and two text box's with having asp:calender extensions, button as well. I have one table in my database with column name 'Time'(datetime) with having some dates.
I need any one can search in between the selected dates, but i am facing a problem, if i select the excat year what i have in my database table then only i get my result into the Gridview otherwise i am getting an error........

I have a page with a gridview control that shows files that have been uploaded to our site. The name of the uploaded files, who uploaded them, and if they have been downloaded, etc are stored in a table. The gridview is bound to the table through a sqlDataSource control. I have a button column in the gridview that downloads the file associated with a row when the button is clicked. All that works well. I have a check box column that shows checked if a file has been downloaded. When the download button is pressed.
the file downloads and then a short routine is run to update the downloaded field in the uploaded files table to set the downloaded field to true. This is done through a command string. All this works. Here is the question. After the update is run I do a databind on the gridview to update it. The databind is run in the PageLoad event is the page is a postback. This does not cause the current row to show downloaded =true (checked). If I refresh the page in the browser then it displays correctly.

I have a web page with 3 controls:
* Calendar control
* Gridview control for games (uses SqlDataSource1, set to a stored procedure that requires 1 parameter: date)
* Gridview control for videos (uses SqlDataSource2, set to a stored procedure that required 1 parameter: gameID)
This is my intended functionality:
* only control visible at start-up is the calendar control
* user selects a date from the calendar control
* the Game gridview becomes visible, showing games on the date the user selected in the Calendar control
* the user selects a row in the Games gridview
* the Video gridview becomes visible, showing available videos for the game
If I remove the Calendar control, the functionality between the Games gridview and the Videos gridview works as intended:

I was having issues with a gridview and CSS so I posted my question here and received a wonderful answer which lead me to implementing CSS Friendly Adapters for all of my gridviews.I have a table nested in the EditItemTemplate that holds the textbox and the button for a calendar control where I want them, it inherits the CSS applied from the CSS Friendly Adapters. I don't want it to change the CSS so I have changed the CSS inline, with no success. More importantly...
I also have a Ajax calendarExtender control to change the date for that field. When the popup is displayed the table in which the calendar is shown in also inherits the CSS Friendly Adapters code. I have tried fixing this by creating a external css sheet for the calendarExtender's cssClass property and a blending of CSS occurs where the items not specified by the Friendly Adapter Code are set correctly by the calendar.css file that I created.Is there anything that I can do to force the tables inside of the gridview to ignore the inherited Friendly Adapter Code?

I am trying to populate two text boxes which have calendar extenders with todays date. While the text box of the first control is getting the correct date, the second one is loading up blank! But if i click on the control the ajax date picker that is shown has todays date highlighted in it.
