Forms Data Controls :: Gridview Has Bar Cursor Not Hand?
Jun 1, 2010
I have a gridview that has LinkButtons and when I hover over the link instead of seeing an hand cursor, that allows me to click the link, I see a vertical bar, that's not clickable. This was working normally until recently, so I must have done something to cause it, but I don't know what?
I have a gridview. when i clicked on textbox of gridview.then the cursor not take place in text box and when i click second time in gridtextbox then cursor take place.and i hav a button, some time when i click on button it will not work, some time it work, whats the problem
I needed to display data from a table in this style:
Hotel: hotel1 Destination: United States
From: UK
Hotel: hotel2 Destination: United States
From: UK
Hotel: hotel3 Destination: United States
From: UK
This would all go in a box or table, the bold text is the column names from the table, but id be quite Happy to just have them as text and not display the coloumn headers. whats the best control to display data in this way, ive messing about with different controls but cant get this layout
How can I put a background color to my input controls where the mouse cursor is located? For example: on textbox focus, change background color to lightyellow and on lost focus, change the background color to default. And this to be applied to all the input controls in my web app.
I've used the substring feature before, but I am struggling with this one since I only want the page names which are on the right hand side, I basically want to chop of everything else (folder paths).. all I want to end up with is default.aspx, gallery.aspx and demo.aspx
I have setup a gridview within an update panel, which resides in a tabcontainer. After I edit any of the rows within the gridview and hit "update" the page reloads and I am no longer able to edit any of the text boxes in the other tabs, and if I attempt to insert or edit a row within the same gridview I'm not able to edit those either. That said, when I hit the tab key a couple of times the cursor appears and I'm able to proceed with editing. Based on the number of times I hit the tab button, it appears that the cursor was inside the textbox I clicked, though it wasn't visible and I simply wasn't able to enter any text.
I've been trying to setFocus on a specific field after any of the grid updates, also tried setting the cursor using ScriptManager.GetCurrent(Me).SetFocus(Me.Control) with no luck.
Do you struggle with the size and the number of entries in the web.config file? Do you understand every element? Is it time for Microsoft to relook at how an ASP.NET site is configured, perhaps by splitting the web.config file into multiple files?
Running a select * from my table give me data like this:
Field1 Field2 Field3 Field4 Field5 Field6
NULL NULL NULL J 4GG4K C46D
DRIVE 0155 1 NULL W6665 NULL (C46D)
TEST 01444 5 NULL W4434 NULL (C46D)
NULL NULL NULL 1 WGG4K AAVE
HOME 01444 3 NULL 5HTYL NULL (AAVE)
NEW 09888 9 NULL 8HTTTE NULL (AAVE)
The problem is Field6 for the rows that are bolded. I need Field6 to repeat for each row until the next non null value is found in Field6, than I need that value to repeat again. I placed in parenthesis outside the NULL for Field6 what I need to show which is the value of Field6 above the records which Field6 is null.
I know this is confusing, but it's actually pretty simple to understand. I just need to get the first NON NULL value of Field6 and UPDATE the records below it where Field6 IS NULL to that value, then when it reached the next bolded row there is a new value for Field6, I then need to get that value and UPDATE the records below it which are null with the value.
I noticed the ActionNameAttribute lets you alias your controller methods. This is nice but I was curious if there was a comparable attribute for a controller name. Specifically, I have a controller with a lengthy name in c# world but would like to shorten / alias it in the actual URL. I was hoping for some kind of controllername attribute. Is there such a beast?
I have a web-application (ASP.NET) and want to open another external webpage on another machine. I have to forward some information (variables) to that webpage, but they should not be part of the URL. So my question is, how can I achieve this without querystrings?
This week my team spent way too much time trying to do simple things in reporting services, and I've decided to start evaluating other options. I know there are some good options out there now that aren't too expensive. I've heard that Telerik, ActiveReports, and a few others are widely used.I was hoping to get some first hand accounts regarding reporting toos that you've used. Specifically, I definitely want to hear your thoughts about:Pain points and gotchas you ran into.Ease of use for report design. It's a little bizarre to me that Access still seems to hold the throne in this area!
i am using Asp.net Chart and showing bar chart. i used dataPoint.MapAreaAttributes to call a JS func(which retrieves the ID) to show next chart on click of a particular bar in the existing chart. but i am unable show hand pointer on mouse over the particular bar on the chart. And when i use Datapoint.Url which is changing the mouse pointer to hand on mouseover the bar but i am unable to call the JS func. how to show Hand pointer on mouseover of a particular bar?
Tag TableName FieldNameabc wc s_namelbl wc s_deslb2 wc s_prodin above fieldname(s_name,s_des,s_prod) column represent field in wc table. How can i bring this result. is this possible without using cursor. i was struggling past two days. i cant able to bring result for above.
I have a stored procedure that uses a cursor and also uses another stored procedure to return a column from the returned records.
[Code]....
See that part with 'exec dirinfo.dbo.d_searchempybyname @TicketEmail'? It works and returns the records but what I really need is to return a COLUMN from the record and store that column value in a variable which I can use - for example 'PRINT @VariableName'.
the image is my button, and that is the JQuery that handles the button click. when you hover your mouse over the image, it stays as the basic arrow pointer. How do I make it change to a hand so the user knows they can click on it?
I have a requirement where I need to declare a Sql Statement dynamically in a cusror. When I declare dynamic Sql Statement and execute the SP, it throws an error message. The Cursor is not recognizing the dynamic Sql command.
As per the requirement, the sql statement will change according to the input parameter and it can't be declared as a static sql as shown below. Can anyone tell me, how this can be achieved any other alternative to do?
I have created the stored procedure in SQL server 2005. i have used nested cusrsors in this SP. also many records are there. So, its performance is too low.
i forced to use cursor, because the this is calcualtion process. i have to fetch the records one by one, do the calculation and insert the result to the another relevent tables.
So it cause big performance issue.this is my sample scanario.
First i have to take the products from the customerforecast for the certain duration. (i used cursor to fetch the products)
then i need to get the list of machines can run for the each product. (i used cursor to fetch the machines)
then i have to fetch the Unit per hour value for the combination of machine and prduct.then i have to use formula and do the calculation and store the result to the 3 different tables.
I am curious, if it's better to iterate through a set of records using cursor or using a WHILE (SELECT ..) ? I have read that cursors can be expensive, so may be WHILE (SELECT..) is a better approach. But I am not sure ?
EXAMPLE OF WHILE (SELECT..) is as below DECLARE @warehouseId INT DECLARE @warehouseIds TABLE ( WarehouseId INT )
I have installed SQL Server 2008 express, reinstall it with advanced services, uninstall TFS 2010 and tries to reinstall it but fails. It doesn't want to completely uninstall.
So I'd like to clean everything by hand (deleting registries, folders) but can't find any info. I have deleted install directory but installer still memorized that TFS is installed.
