I have the following returned in my store proc:
Key, Name, IsReadonly.
What I would like to do is show only the Name and IsReadonly and hide the Key field .
I think u can use a it as a Date Key or something because i then want to delete a record (using autogeneratedeletecolumn)and use that Key in the where clause.

Now I wanted to hide, that is to make some of the columns visible false.
First how can I do that, Second should I write the code in the same page_load event or I should write the code some where else, cause when I add this line of code
gv.colums[0].visible=false;
an exception is produces "Argument out of range"

I have a grid view with several TemplateFields. A couple of them are set to Visible=False; each template field has an EditItemTemplate, an ItemTemplate and a FooterTemplate.

While in GridView_RowUpdating event, the value bounded to the EditItemTemplate is properly read

so, debugging ttbImp.Text = "4"; But when trying to get the value bounded to the FooterTemplate, the label contains no values.

why that? I believe it has to do with the hidden visibility of the field, but I can't understand why it reads the value inEditItemTemplate, and it doesn't in FooterTemplate.

now i am getting server tag is not well formed error,i tried removing the quotes within eval but then i didnt get parameter values in java script.
have situation here. On checking checked checkbox inside template field on grid view. This my codethis code suppose to be update into mysql when checkbox of each row being checked. Mean only update database which row has being checked, other wise the data inside database not being updated.What happen now once button being click, code above will be executed, but all the data being update not considering the checked checkbox only.

I know that variations of this same question have been posed numerous times - but I can't quite seem to find the exact solution.
I would like any row in my gridview where the boolean field "Approved" is True to be shaded gray. Here is the code that I'm using, but every row ends up being gray, regardless of the value in that "Approved" field. My guess is that I'm not correctly evaluating the boolean value in this field (which is actually a yes/no field in MS Access), Not sure if I should be reading that value as "-1", "Yes" or "True" or "NotNull"? The Add template is located outside the grid view and if user clicks on the button, it will load the grid view that is populated with data as there is a row of empty fields at the bottom. However when I click on the Add Template button, the grid view does not appear.

When user like to update the datasource he will select one row from gridview then in selected indexchanged event i would display the selected row values beneath the form under the grid , Then user will update the contents displayed from grid and click an update button which is outside the grid .
