I have grid view control that includes a dropdown control in a template field.I wish to execute some code when the value is changed in the dropdown list. Can't figure out how to capture this event though?

I'm trying to setup a page that will utilize a dropdown list control inside of a grid view control using VS 2005 2.0 version. Everything that I can find online seems to only show the use of the dropdown list control using a data grid. I don't want to use a data grid because it doesn't have the functionality/ power as the grid view control. how I can incorporate a dropdown list control with the grid view control? Here is a copy of my code.

It's working fine but problem is that if i select 10 and record from dropdown and record also has 10 then paging is not showing.
That's mean i select 10 from dropdown and record is 10 then dropdown also disable with numbers, suppose i need to select again 5 then i can't do this.
I want to create dynamic template field in gridview at code behind. Kindly let me know how to create this.

now i am getting server tag is not well formed error,i tried removing the quotes within eval but then i didnt get parameter values in java script.
have situation here. On checking checked checkbox inside template field on grid view. This my codethis code suppose to be update into mysql when checkbox of each row being checked. Mean only update database which row has being checked, other wise the data inside database not being updated.What happen now once button being click, code above will be executed, but all the data being update not considering the checked checkbox only.

When the gridview goes into edit mode the dropdown list is displayed with all the right options but the current value of the field (pre-editing) is not the selected value of the dropdown list? How do I make that happen? I have a couple fields where the editItem template will use a dropdown list and I'm sure a user will not realize those values have changed and they will just edit what they intended to edit and save the changes, inadvertently also making changes to other fields.

When using the templates in edit mode, I am using a dropdownlist to change the member status.

I have a gridview and basically at page load I want it to display with an empty row. The first field in the gridview would be a template field containing a textbox. I wan't to be able to type in, for example, a product code ('abc'). This would be the parameter for the stored procedure and then the rest of the columns (40+ additional columns) in the gridview would populate with the rest of the data pertaining to that product code (i.e. price, unit of measure, etc.). In short the template field texbox is the control to bind the gridview.
After the row is populated I could click a button or link that would add that entire row to my gridview and then add another empty row where I could enter another product code... populate the row then add that row to the gridview. and so on...
Here two have two grid inner and outergrid, When i am click the Edit Linkbuttom i am able to see the EditItemplate of innergrid.. where i can edit the Value.. When going to update that values in Data base.. i am not able to fine the control . Here is the code

I have a doubt regarding displaying data in gridview. I have comma separated values in a particular field in my database. Will I be able to display the comma separated values from db table in a control in the Item template field of my gridview?
View 2 RepliesI've been searching in all the forums, and websites for the last 4 hours without finding a solution for a problem that in the beginning I tought it was an easy one!!!This is my problem, I have a gridview with the following colums: select (link), Room Type (for hotels), and TotalThe total field Is a template field it has in the custom binding property a function: find_total(Eval("Room")) this function makes some calculation and returns the calculated Total value, and shows in the gridview without problems,The thing I cant do is: when the user clicks on the select link I want to get the text of the template field and put in a label control.
I tried, almost all the events of the datagrid, to reference the content of my template field but sometimes I receive a null value (seems that Im looking for the value before the find_total function has been executed) or I get an error "the index is out of range".I dont know how to approach this, I tought It has to be much easier, but Im very confused right now, if anybody knows how to do this

In my project. I used ExtendedGridView to display stock info by location . I want to add two special column in this grid. One col is radio button field and another one is checkbox field. When user click radio button, I will show the next grid below the first grid.
When user select the checkbox, the system should allow to select multi check box and then I have to proceed in updating and show other fields.
But I never done two events in grid view. I am still finding the way to develop this requirement .

View 4 RepliesI am dynamically loading user controls into my main page on button event.The user control has a textbox and a gridview When i enter data in textbox , the autopostback event fires and loads data into the gridview. when i load another instance of user control and do any post back the gridview data is not persisting.Until and unless I bind the data, gridview is not having any data after postback.This is creating issue when I al updating a row in gridview as data is not persisting after postback.
