Forms Data Controls :: Hyperlink From Gridview To Load Particular Details In New Page?

I have records in a Gridview, when I click on the NAME of each item I want to open up and new page and display a more detailed view of the record, i.e. the extra details from the table. I have the following code setup:
<asp:GridView
ID="GridView1"
runat="server"
AutoGenerateColumns="False"
OnSelectedIndexChanged="GridView1_SelectedIndexChanged"
DataKeyNames="Code">
[Code]....
This setups the hyperlink and passes the key of the record in the URL, but how do I retrieve this key and use it on the new page ?

However, the details page could not retrieve the page base on the clsNotesID. Here is my SqlDataSource control:

The clsNoteID has a DataType of uniqueidentifier. I was wondering if the clsNoteID passing through the QueryingString has to be suround by a single quotes. If so, how do implement the single into my HyperLink control?

I have on a page a gridview that can be filtered with one text box. I set up the gridview to show select and wanted to then connect a details view so that when you selected a row the entire details would show up. When I run it I get this error. Data keys must be specified on GridView 'GridView1' before the selected data keys can be retrieved. Use the DataKeyNames property to specify data keys.

i have the following gridview i would like the Vistidate column to be a link2) as you can see each patient can have multiple visit dates. when for example i click on 12/08/10 which is going to be a link i would like a new page to open and bring all the details from that visit into the various textboxes that i have such as DOB, telephone etc.

i have a gridview of name "PRODUCTS"
now i want to add a link button , on cllicking that link button a new page in other tab will open with that Product Name and ID , then i want to read that product name and id and fetch records according to it ...

I have a datasource (quite heavy to run) and a Gridview on the page.
By default when the page is loaded the datasource and Gridview bind and display. However since the datasource is heavy I want on page load these 2 will not bind.
I want them to bind only on a button click. How to stop the datasource and Gridview from binding on 1st page load ?

i am having two logins,one login for employee and another login for hr,hr wants to create the payslip for every month,if the HR created the payslip for the particular employee,once created the payslip,the employee can login in his account ,if payslip is created it will be displayed in the gridview,in that gridview i provide a print option,,,and pass the employee id using the eval..my problem is,,if the particulare employee having the payslips details in the gridview,it will be order by month wise,if the user wants to take the print,if the employee want to take the print for the month of february,,when the employee clicks the print option by mistake january month record is printed,,i need to print februry as per the employee selection,,,this is my code,form1.aspxin gridview all the months of salary details will be displayed,

I have an issue that I've spent quite a bit of time trying to solve. I have a Detailsview and a Gridview that I have linked using the ID field, It has now been decided that they want to have individual pages for each Unit. I have this working for the most part, however the detailsview is not being displayed until I hit select the row in the gridview.
How do I get this to automatically display on page load?
