I have a problem with exporting three gridviews (main and nested gridview and sub nested gridview) to Excel fromat using ClosedXML (XLWorkbook). I read tutorial on aspsnippets and it works fine for main gridview. i refered in link [URL] ....
But its only for two gridview but i need three nested gridviews export to excel ....

I have two listviews. The inner listview (InnerListView1) is in the SelecttItemTemplate of the outer listview (OuterListView1). Both listviews are bind in the code behind. The outer listview displays correctly in the ItemTemplate. Neither Listview Listview displays in the SelectItemTemplate. Both should display when I click the Select button. I just get a postback (flicker). The display should include the selected record of the outer listview and the inner listview.

I have a list box in a list view control. I want to access the value of the listbox. I have fixed the height of the list box and the box has scroll bars. If i change the number using the scrollbar and then click on the number (turning it blue) everthing works fine. If I simply change the number using the scrollbar the system throws the error below. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work simply by using the scrollbar to select the number (without having to also click on the number itself) This is the error that is thrown

I need to bind a List control based on the Gridview Row's datakeyName value while the Gridview control is being loaded into the page. I tried the following but it does not work.The BulletedList control is nested inside a Gridview Control and they both bound to an ObjectDataSource control. In my code, I passed teh UserID into the UserID parameter and call the Select() method but still does not work. Basically, I want to list of a user's hobbies, therefore the hobbies control are driven by the userID. tell me how can I get it to work?

Nested Repeater Issue: Each category list gets populated with the same set of date values rather then being populated with the data associated with that category. Trying to Do: Trying to group FAQ's by category and then list them using the repeaters.
The data is queryed though a business logic layer object that makes a call to the data access layer object. The data access layer object uses linq to sql to return data. There are 3 parameters that are passed into the innerDataSource's ObjectDataSource control to populate the nested repeater control (propID, CatID, isVisible).
With the debugger, the correct data is being returned and written to the nested repeater firing from the nested repeater's ItemDataBound event. Once this event is finished, another event fires and runs the FAQRule object again on the business logic layer which re-populates the nested repeater with the same data for each category. I have 2 repeaters, outerRepater (parent) and innerRepeater(child) with 2 ObjectDataSource controls innerDataSource and outerDataSource. See code below : ASP Page:
<asp:Repeater DataSourceID="outterDataSource" EnableViewState="false" runat="server">
<ItemTemplate>
<%# Eval("Description") + " " + this.Property.PropertyName %>
<asp:Repeater EnableViewState="false" runat="server" DataSourceID="innerDataSource">
<HeaderTemplate>
<ul style="width: 500px">
</HeaderTemplate>
<ItemTemplate>
<div><%# Eval("Question") %></div>
<div><p><%# Eval("Answer") %></p></div>
</ItemTemplate>
<FooterTemplate>
</ul>
</FooterTemplate>

How to resolve this situation or any other alternative to cum out of this problem.
Is there a better, cleaner way to do this in ASP.NET 2.0?
An ASP.NET 2.0 page displays a datalist of records. Each record can have many dates, so the dates are in a nested gridview (I chose a gridview over a datalist here because we want to be able to delete a date and this is easier done in a gridview). The parent record can never be deleted.
The display works fine: the nested gridview gets its datasource during the parent datalist's OnItemDataBound event.
The problem: the nested gridview's delete function. The date gets deleted without a problem (handled in the OnRowDeleting event), but somehow the redisplay is untying all the other nested gridviews from their datasources. The delete does not appear to cause a page postback, so I don't know how the other nested gridviews are losing their datasources.
I want to bind two column on single level in GridView
I m using this code
<asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("lChannelName")+ " " +Eval("lTransformData") %>' >
</asp:Label>
But i want to bind First column at Left hand side and second column from right hand side
In Nested Grid, we get a '+' sign. The problem is that '+' sign appears all times, even if there are no child records for that row. 1. Can we enable/disable OR Hide/Unhide '+' sign. depending on if child rows exits.2. OR alteast we can put some bgcolor indicating to user that this record do have child rows. Without any indicator user may feel quite annoying to click on '+' sign and nothing happens.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to create a nested gridview, but I'm stuck at the editing/deleting part of the nested gridview. (Below is my code).The nested gridviews are filling out nice, I've set the DeleteParameter in the SQLDataSource, but I'm still getting this error when trying to delete a criteria: 'The Gridview 'gvCriteria' fired event RowDeleting which wasn't handled.'I've tried to create a method 'gvCriteria_RowDeleting', but that didn't seem to work out.Someone who can give me a piece of advice? Would it be possible to fill the gridview without using gvDomain_rowDataBound? Dries

Have the MultiView1 display only if Frieght values exceed 15.50. If check box is checked, retreive the row values of the Gridview1 and Gridview2 to perform a task.There will be two check boxes. One will be conditionally hidden. Each check box has a different function.
Example: Send an email notifying this entry has been flagged. I am using Visual Studio 2005 with ASP.NET 2 due to availability of resource. I have checked out numerous sites without finding the specific answer.
For example:

I have a GridView, with a DropDownList as one of the Columns. I can get the SelectedIndexChanged method to trigger - but I cannot figure out how to get other Data regarding which row this triggered on i.e. if I could get the value in the ID column (DocID below), that would be great. My code is a bit too long, so I am just posting snippets. In the *.aspx file I have:
[Code]....
In the *.aspx.cs File:
[Code]....
I am wondering if I can get the DocID from within StatusDropDownList_SelectedIndexChanged - so that I can make appropriate changes to the Database. For e.g. in the RowDataBound event, which I had a GridViewRowEventArgs e, I could easily do e.Row.DataItem - to get the DataItem, I am wondering if I get/do something similar in the SelectedIndexChanged method. (I would prefer this be not the GridView Row Index i.e. I would prefer the DataItem if possible.)
I ran into this kind of situation many times without a nice solution. Binding a data source to a gridview and one of the column require nested query. Is it possible to have a callback function other than Eval()?
something like CallbackFunc(Eval("SomeField"));
My requirement is i want to bind data to gridview2 which is placed in gridview1..Iam using EDM objects to refer database...So for Gridview1 Iam getting out put...now how to bind to gridview2...For gridview1 I binded the data which is in onetable...And for gridview2 i want to bind MENU table data...so how can i bind the data...
this is the gridview2..in gridview1 row.

I also tried using FindControl() but iam not able to proceed further.
I am having my first go at a nested gridview within a gridview. I have successfully loaded the data and it displays fine. Within the child gridview I have two textboxes that the customer can change. I also have an Save button. When the customer selects the save button the RowCommand for the child grid executes as it should. However I am unable to figure out how to access the two textboxes.
In the past I have got the row index from e.CommandArgument, established the correct GridViewRow using the gridview ID and the row index, and then used findcontrol to get the textbox
int index =
Convert.ToInt32(e.CommandArgument);
GridViewRow row = gvGridView.Rows[index];
TextBox txtName = row.FindControl("txtName")
as TextBox;
But when working within the Child GridView RowCommand event I am unable to figure out how to gain access to the textbox. The child gridview is not recognized.
I have a complicated report that nests six deep and so really hits the database hard. I want to use SqlDataReaders NOT DataAdapters and DataSets because I don't want big tables in memory.
MARS can get me the data fast, all from the one connection. But all the examples show it binding to a treeview.
I want to bind it to nested GridViews (six deep!).
Any examples of MARS binding to nested gridview/list/repeater controls of any kind?
I have a page where there are two nested gridview, I have a column in the child gridview that uses a function to display the data.This function uses the id of the id of the father and son as parameters. I tried the code below, but does not work ...

I am trying to add a value to a date when it is bound in a fornview control. I tried the following code but could not get the structure correct.

Has anyone done date calculations using a date in a table cell?
I am using a nested listview to display a seperate grid for each group of data returned from my db query. To get this working, I have adapted a piece of code to group the data prior to it being bound:
[Code]....
I am then using the following html markup:
[Code]....
[Code]....
This works as I want it to however some of the fields within the nested table need to be formatted as currency so I am trying to use Eval and {0:c} to do this however the moment I use Eval, the data items cannot be found
DataBinding: 'System.Data.DataRow' does not contain a property with the name '0'.
I have a gridview on my asp.net web page. I bind the gridview to a dataset. The dataset has the following fields:
facility, date, patient name, description. Presently, the gridview looks like this when rendered:
ABC Hospital 10/1/2009 John Doe Sore Throat
ABC Hospital 10/2/2009 Jane Doe Mumps
ABC Hospital 10/3/2009 Bill Smith Flu
XYZ Hospital 10/2/2009 Tom Jones Migraine
XYZ Hospital 10/2/2009 Mary Mills Cold
I would like to ony display the facility once for each group. For example, ABC Hospital would only display on the first line and would be blank on the next 2 lines. I think I did this once before but cannot find the code. I have not been able to find a good example on the web.
I have a problem, with a gridview. When I try to make a OnRowDataBound I get the error "Gridviewroweventargs is inaccessible due to its protection level" I cann't figure out why.My aspx code for the gridview:

Now I have comment out everything in the function grdWaitingApproval_RowDataBound:

When I remove the line in the aspx file

the project runs fine and I get a list of users with username date and so on. But I nead to use the RowDataBound to select a picture to each row.
