I have made the connection between aspx form and Access DB through an asp page using ADO.net.I wanted to add another feature into the form where when the user clicks the submit button a preformattedxcel sheet pops up with all the info filled onto it automatically (from the form). The user just need to save the file later on.

I want to create a page where I can upload an image using any upload function and then display it. Now after diplaying it I want to select the hotspots for an image map. The coordinates of image map values are stored in a database.
Basically I want that to create image maps and hotspots I dont use any offline software, this work is successfully completed and working perfectly, but i want generate one identification where i click the hot spots position in image or CSS file Generate for user identifications, So how can i solve this problem.

Oct 22, 2010i put this in a grid so that only one of the rows would have the txt box in it, it works ok ie the txtbox only shows up for the row with 1005 as the ID, but for some reason the query string for each row for the last element in the row, ie an AddToCart image button i have at the end of each row in the grid is not coming out right, ie the query string is missing when the page posts back for all but the last row of the grid which coincidently is the row with the 1005 ID, (the rendered code is shown way down, i apologize for the length of it ) here is the problem line. NOTE when i take the code out of the gridview on row data bound event then the page post back fine and the query string is there, but when i put the code back in the row databound event for the grid then the query string vars and values do not get posted back.

Now I have button on the form on this button's click I can export all data i.e. whatever gridview showing means only 5 columns. But i need to export all 20 columns data to excel sheet.

The columns are dynamically generated based upon the start date and end date.Its a biweekly pay period.
Apart from these 15 Day 1 to Day 15 columns there are 5 other columns for different codes which are added to gridview using data table. I have drop down list control for the 5 codes and text boxes for the remaining day 1 to day 15 columns.
Now when the user selects the values from the drop down list and enters the number of hours into the text box using a footer row with a inert link button it should add the values entered to the footer row to the data table data row and then rebind the data table to the data base. I am some how unable to get the values entered by user into the footer following is the code for insert_click event

Feb 6, 2010I was requested to develop a GridView like screen to allow easy DataEntry without the need to Click Save/Submit on each row of the GridView.
In other words, the user wants to edit the GridView Cells in a Web Screen as if he is editing Cells in MS Excel. The Data should be saved as soon as he will exit the cell by pressing the down arrow.
It think the only way to do that is to use Ajax technology, right ?
Maybe jQuery or ExtJS ?

Aug 26, 2013I have a gridview which has a image button for deletion purpose in every grid row.I have placed the grid inside update panel.In IE 10(interet explorer 10) when i click on this image button it throws webpage error:
Error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Input string was not in a correct format.
and data does not delete.But in other browsers no exceptions thrown and code is working fine without any error.

I have made the "Auto generate select button - True" in gridview. On the click of the select button i want the image to be displayed in "Image" control and also the other details other than image to be diaplayed in textbox. I can get other details in textbox but cannot get image in "Image" control.
NOTE: I am not sure whether I need to use "Image" control available in the toolbox of VS2010.
